What this place has not improved at all. The alcohol selection is just was off from the norm. No standard alcohol selections. I won't list them all out, but you can check out pics. We were the only ones in here on a Sunday afternoon. The only reason there's some stars is the bartender was quite friendly and of course attentive. Not a recommend. Still one of my favorite watering holes. The bartenders are always pretty, but friendly. When you walk in here, no matter what time of day, you'll capture a small slice of that Bay Area lifestyle. Someone here has probably been recently fired, patrons are helping fix another patron's car, a lively game of pool and shit talking is taking place. Park Lane Lounge is one of my favorite spots in San Jose! The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and perfect whether you're meeting friends for drinks or just unwinding after a long day. The bartenders were friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. The drinks were well made, reasonably priced, and the service was excellent from start to finish. I also loved that there were pool tables, darts, and plenty of TVs to catch a game. It's a fun neighborhood bar with a great mix of people and a laid-back vibe. Bartender couldn't understand a word I said, didn't have three different types of alcohol we tried to order and then acted as if he'd never served a drink before. What happened to this place!?! The owner is also an NVIDIA engineer, which shows in how well-run and thoughtfully designed the place is. The bartender(M) and friend (F), both african american, were very racist and unwelcoming. I will not be coming back. I do not want to come to a place which does not accept anyone except Muslims and rich customers. When i was unable to tip, and unable to order more than 1 drink, they both started hurling slurs about my ethnicity and started physically assaulting me and my friends. I can't believe I've lived around this bar for decades and never visited until now. They look closed and a bit obscure, and it's a bit hidden in a small, dark corner of a small complex. But check this! - Friendly, cute bartender. The drunk beligerant bartender Alana, threw me and my friends out before we even had a chance to spend any money at the bar. We bought both pool tables and we're in the middle of our first round of billiards, when Alana came up rudely screaming to us because we hadn't bought any drinks within 12 minutes of entering the establishment. Got our billiards all thrown into the table, screamed at by a drunk bartender who shouldn't even be working, and kicked out. Wouldn't recommend this establishment until they do something about the drunk exotic dancer behind the bar... Rule # of bartending, don't be more drunk than the customers so they will actually want to be served by you. read more

Came to parklane a handful of times the past couple years, and just wasn't impressed, manly with the service. Random stop recently for a cold drink and some air conditioning. The place really changed for the best and the bartender (Coco) was very friendly and welcoming. No wait time for a drink or refill, she's on it. Service is much better than before and the bartender makes you want to return. Talking to her and she has so many great ideas to make the place more fun and I can't wait. I'll definitely be back! The Park Lane is a good place to go too, the people are very friendly and if you like the dive bar vibe without the dive bar issues this is a good joint to stop in and have a drink or two. The drink are fairly poured and the prices are good. The only thing to say for improvement is the outside of the bar is not very inviting. That is not a problem for me , or my friends but had we not been told of this place not someplace we would of just drove by and stopped. Wonder how much more business you could pick up. WHO WOULD HAVE THUNK? Ok, imagine a really dead plaza, and in the corner of Moorpark and Williams, there is a big sign "LOUNGE". What could be in there, you think? My friends and I were across the street at 7 eleven, and we see that sign, and decided to go in and explore! The plaza apparently burned down a while ago, and everything was rebuilt. We walked in, and to our surprise, it was "POPPIN'" Usher- OMG was playing, tpeople were playing on the pool tables in the back, the crowd was in the late 20s-30s just kicking back having a drink, the 2 bartender girls were really nice and the service was quick. There's a megatouch, and a touchscreen jukebox that shows friend/photo feeds, and an electronic dartboard. $7.50 for greygoose shots, and $4.50 for beers.
