The bartender(M) and friend (F), both african american, were very racist and unwelcoming. I will not be coming back. I do not want to come to a place which does not accept anyone except Muslims and rich customers. When i was unable to tip, and unable to order more than 1 drink, they both started hurling slurs about my ethnicity and started physically assaulting me and my friends. The drunk beligerant bartender Alana, threw me and my friends out before we even had a chance to spend any money at the bar. We bought both pool tables and we're in the middle of our first round of billiards, when Alana came up rudely screaming to us because we hadn't bought any drinks within 12 minutes of entering the establishment. Got our billiards all thrown into the table, screamed at by a drunk bartender who shouldn't even be working, and kicked out. Wouldn't recommend this establishment until they do something about the drunk exotic dancer behind the bar... Rule # of bartending, don't be more drunk than the customers so they will actually want to be served by you. read more

I can't believe I've lived around this bar for decades and never visited until now. They look closed and a bit obscure, and it's a bit hidden in a small, dark corner of a small complex. But check this! - Friendly, cute bartender. I was digging her tattoos, too! - Good service - Adequate music, where it's lively but you can still talk - Large selection of whiskey and beer - Friendly patrons I've been to dive bars where the patrons look extremely sad (think Barney & alcoholics in the Simpsons). Came to parklane a handful of times the past couple years, and just wasn't impressed, manly with the service. Random stop recently for a cold drink and some air conditioning. The place really changed for the best and the bartender (Coco) was very friendly and welcoming. No wait time for a drink or refill, she's on it. Service is much better than before and the bartender makes you want to return. Talking to her and she has so many great ideas to make the place more fun and I can't wait. I'll definitely be back! The Park Lane is a good place to go too, the people are very friendly and if you like the dive bar vibe without the dive bar issues this is a good joint to stop in and have a drink or two. The drink are fairly poured and the prices are good. The only thing to say for improvement is the outside of the bar is not very inviting. That is not a problem for me , or my friends but had we not been told of this place not someplace we would of just drove by and stopped. Wonder how much more business you could pick up. Otherwise good time , everyone give it a try read more

To the owner, You will never who will walk into your bar, don't just always assume that we are using your parking spot for no reason. I came down to try this bar, and your bartender just came out of the door and told me that I cannot park there. I left to pick up something from CVS, and one of your employees sticked a freaking note on my car. No wonder why your bar is PaRk Lane lounge. Parking spots first, customers second. Stay away from this unfriendly bar. read more

This is your local bar in San Jose that shouts fun! My friend and I walked into the bar and were welcomed by two very beautiful women bartenders. They took our orders and used some profanity in their sentences as they spoke to each other or the other customers. I had *no* problem with this, as it made for a very home / comfortable environment. I just wish that restaurants pay all of their employees decent wages and have that reflected in their prices. Adding surcharges like this just seems like the restaurants still don't give enough value to their staff by paying them a decent wage. Surcharges just confuse their customers, especially when they can change at-will what will be done with the surcharge money.

I had to click Other and manually type in 0. When I did that, she gave me the stink eye and felt like I was being judged. I received my receipt and to my surprise the total cost came up to $20.34?? Excuse me? There was a credit card surcharge of 3% applied? I wasn't made aware of this surcharge when I ordered. Why are we expected to pay this cost? This should have been covered on the business side. If you are going to order from this place be sure to track the cost of what you are ordering. It was still tender and not dried out. The ribs were also good. It was tender and didn't stick to the bone as much but it wasn't as tender where it just slides off the bone. The seasoning on the ribs was neutral and the BBQ Pit have their own special bbq sauce (regular and spicy) which goes well with the meat. My wife ordered the tri tip salad and she enjoyed it. I stole some of her greens to balance the meat and beer and the veggies were fresh. The salad came with cornbread but I didn't try it. On my second visit, I decided to get the tri tip woith a side of baked potato and coleslaw. The baked potato was $3 extra. The tri tip had really good flavor and texture. It ripped apart easily when pulling. The coleslaw was ok. I might get the mac and cheese or beans next time. My wife ate the baked potato and ate most of it. I tried a little bit where it was just the potato and it was not overcooked and not too undercooked. It was easy to scoop with the fork without too much effort. If you are in the area and craving for BBQ, I highly recommend trying this place. The portion is not as big as BBQ joints in Texas or KC but they are on par with the ones around San Jose. The pricing is decent and like I mentioned, is also on par to San Jose pricing. If you have a big group, there are plenty of tables to accommodate folks. The location is close to the highway so that's a plus. The staff is very helpful and will give you a good recommendation if you are debating on what to order.

When I arrived today August 8 2018 proximately at 6:10 pm, the bartender was pulling one of the high chairs outside to sit on and smoke. I decided to smoke one myself since she was smoking one! I finished my cigarette and came in. 5 minuets later she comes in walk behind me, goes behind the bar and sat on a high chair and her back to me and start to text without having any attention to me! I put my phone down and just waiting to see if she is going to have any attention to me! I called her and asked if she is going to serve me! She was in her own world and who cares about the customer!!!!! 10 minuets later, a lady came to the counter to get a Budweiser and she was so deep in a conversation about her friends, that she didn't even noticed that there is someone waiting to get a beer! Dive bar, with new interior. The bar looks nice, and if your a SINGLE man this is the place for you. The bartenders think they work at Coyote Ugly, dress like they want attention (in very little clothes even in the winter), dance on the bars, get drunk with customers and hit on pretty much anyone to make their money. Drinks and prices are about average for a dive bar. Not a spot I prefer for the fact that I dont care to have females in little to no clothes shaking their ass for all the men, including ones with ladies, just to make a buck . I like my Dive Bar to be low key, with down to earth bartenders and some pool/darts. Had a great experience here! The atmosphere was welcoming, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the drinks were excellent. The bartenders clearly know what they're doing and made some of the best cocktails I've had in a while. I kicked off the holiday weekend at Parklane Lounge located in San Jose with a refreshing Shandy made with sparkling lemonade and pilsner beer. The bartender also crafted a fabulous Old Fashioned garnished with Luxardo maraschino cherries -- deep red, almost black, rich, syrupy, and perfectly paired with fresh orange peel. I went here a couple weeks ago and was served by the awesome blue haired Alana, boy does she make a mean Woodford Old Faahioned!. The tunes were rocking for a Monday and was even surprised they had a pretty funny Comedy Night with lots of talented stand ups! Ginormous screen cutting off the gaming area. Dirty pool tables and old arcade games now. A karaoke booth in the middle of the place makes it feel off and there is absolutely zero flow to the place. Even worse is a loud, obnoxious and unprofessional bartender named Patty. She is rude unless she's practically making out with "regular" male patrons. On several occasions that I've been there, I can walk up to an empty bar with maybe 1-4 patrons at the far end of the bar where Patty practically lives and gossips about people, and am made to wait for up to 10 minutes without even so much as of an acknowledgment from her. Sometimes Patty will walk by me a few times to get ingredients to make 2nd or 3rd drinks for her regulars and continue to ignore me. I think in the last 2 years she and I have only ever spoken once. Last time I was there, my drink was accidentally spilled by another patron. When we asked for a mop to help clean up the spill, Patty gruffly responded that the mop was being used for something else and continued to walk around the bar to greet more of her friends. It took nearly 5 whole minutes before she stomped over to our area with paper towels and while complaining audibly started to wipe up the spill. I offered multiple apologies and to help clean it up but was ignored. After the spill was wiped up, we noticed the floor was still sticky. My partner asked for some kind of cleaning solution and I got more paper towels and we finished cleaning the sticky floor. After the spill was resolved, we continued to play pool and decided we would play some music. Not more than 45 seconds into our first song choices, Patty turned the volume down to an almost inaudible level. Only when she played more music did she turned the volume back up as she had the entire time we were there. I normally don't post reviews but this bartender is absolutely the worst in my opinion and I'm at a point where neither I nor my friends feel comfortable visiting this establishment anymore

Did not feel safe!! My friends and I were waiting to get on…read morethe elevator, so when a group of guys also arrived. As I was walking to get on the elevator one of the guys tried to hold me back against him and wrapped his arm around me. I had no idea who he was. I pushed him off me and told his friends to get him away from me. As he walked away and our elevator door closed he called me/my friend a group of wh*r*s. I told the staff/security when we got to the top and they said they'll "keep an eye on them". They proceeded to call my friends and I the b word as we walked passed their group. Then two other girls complained how the same man that grabbed me tried to pressure them into leave with the group of men. When they said no they were also called "wh*r*s". Staff did not help at all.
