    Love you Mac's!

We love this place so much that we came two days in a row!! The mini golf is only $4 for a challenging 18 holes (looks can be deceiving) and the ice cream (Hershey's) is delicious. They have about forty flavors and soft serve too (and not just the traditional three--how about grape and vanilla soft serve!) HIGHLY recommend, don't go to Seneca Farms, this is the place!

Great spot for some fun. $4 each for mini golf. We had the whole course to ourselves. Ice cream was very good. Staff is very friendly

Best place in Penn Yan for ice cream by far. Let the seasonal lakers go to the other places with the gimmicks... the locals go to Macs.

Great place for ice cream in Penn Yan. Cheaper than the tourist trap Seneca farms. Very family friendly.

They have lots of fun dip tops, sprinkles, and sundaes that you can't get at Seneca Farms.

Imagine asking, "What would an ice cream stand be like if it were crossed with a fine FLX winery in a beautiful farm setting?"--that's exactly the vibe here. Elevated, serene, and absolutely delicious. The facility and grounds are immaculate, with a peaceful, pastoral atmosphere that makes you want to linger. The staff was warm and welcoming, and they generously offered samples so we could explore the flavors before committing (dangerous, because they're all incredible). We ultimately chose three flavors: * Cookie Monster (Real Cookies & Cream) -- Their take on cookies & cream is next‑level. It's built on their handcrafted vanilla cream base and loaded with hearty chunks of their own legendary chocolate chip cookies. Think of an ice cream sandwich turned inside out--rich, decadent, and deeply satisfying. * Fleur Bleu -- A gorgeous blend of local organic blueberries, subtle French lavender, and their classic vanilla cream. It's delicate, floral, and beautifully balanced. This one kept us slowing down each bite just to savor the nuance. * Ditch Mint Chip -- Made with hand‑picked fresh mint and dark chocolate chips. Bright, refreshing, and leagues above the artificial mint flavor you get elsewhere. It was excellent, though admittedly overshadowed by the other two standouts. The frozen custard itself is among the best we've ever tasted--rich, creamy, and unbelievably smooth thanks to their signature use of local duck eggs. Even the vanilla base was a sleeper hit, with a depth of flavor you don't expect until it hits you. The setting is perfect for a Finger Lakes outing. Whether you're spending the day visiting wineries, hiking the gorges and waterfalls, or just exploring the region, you need to make this a stop on your route. It's one of those places that elevates your whole day. A truly special spot. We'll be back.

Incredible! Such a cute spot with delicious frozen custard! Adorable ducks! Very nice ambiance-…read morelots of outdoor seating with umbrellas too. First, the custard was all delicious. We ordered the flight with all 8 flavors, and I would happily eat even my least favorite again. So yummy and creamy. Richer and a tad denser than traditional icecream. The blueberry streusel flavor surprised me the most- it's vegan and I wasn't expecting to love it but it ended up being my favorite. The coconut is very subtle but melds beautifully with the other flavors. You can't tell that it is vegan. I also loved the Java Junction and the Real Cookies n cream flavors. Fleur Bleu had a very strong lavender flavor- it overpowered the blueberry flavor. It was so fun feeding the ducks! They were a bit shy at first but all came out when they realized we had food- just ask for some duck food when you order your custard! There is also a random peacock which was a fun surprise. Overall, I would highly recommend! Such a fun activity!

A fourth generation dairy farm that excels in cheese and ice cream. We tried the 8 flight. 4 cheeses 4 ice creams. All were delicious. I tried the peach habernero Quark and immediately needed to buy one in the case. Its a super protein and so creamy. I can't wait to pair it with celery sticks for a nice snack. They offer a few coffee drinks as well. I ordered a caramel Americano. Next time I am in the area I will definitely come by again!

Such a fun experience!…read more So many fun flavors of icecream and different cheeses! Not to mention the adorable cows!! We tried the flight of 8-- 5 icecreams and 3 cheeses. For icecream we tasted the purple cow, peach cobbler, cookies and cream, black cherry chocolate, and the coffee heath crunch. My favorite was the coffee flavor- unlike other coffee icecreams I've had, this coffee had a much more robust and richer flavor profile. I liked cookies and cram-- always a classic. The cherry flavor was a tad too artificial for my liking. Purple cow was fine- very similar to the Cornell Dairy flavor- both are good though! I liked the peach cobbler flavor though wish there were more of the mix-ins. For cheeses, we tasted the butter garlic cheddar curds, the signature Summit Cheddar, and the plain quark. The garlic cheddar curds were so good, I took a bag home with me! Summit cheddar had a nice nutty flavor, not too 'sharp' though. The quark was interesting... it had a rather mild flavor and interesting texture (similar to boursin). I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it. I also took home a bag of the tomato basil cheese curds which I didn't like as much as the garlic ones. The tomato ones had a very subtle flavor-- too subtle. There was a line when we got there though it moves relatively quickly and is definitely worth the wait! Overall, I had so much fun picking out so many icecreams and cheeses to taste as well as seeing the cows! I would highly recommend Shtayburne Farm!

The interior is the same as always, while the available flavors are unpredictable, but a taste makes everything right in the world. Their flavor menu has been updated to indicate which flavors contain gluten and which ones don't. They also now have a protocol for those with strict gluten allergies. This time it was spring, so they didn't have my favorite Jalepeno Popper this time around. But they did have Lavender. For the second and third scoops we got Pistachio, followed by Butter Pecan. As a reminder, they use 14 percent buttermilk, and their ice cream emphasizes FLAVOR over sugar. Despite the high fat content, their ice cream doesn't feel heavy while you're eating it. Take that as a warning, since you might feel it after you consume too much. The Lavender was fantastically floral. The Pistachio was like eating Pistachios. Each flavor is exactly as described. Previously, I had also gotten my coworkers ice cream from here several years prior. Hand-packed into pints, you'll need a serious amount of self-control to avoid finishing them in a single sitting. They've also opened up a location in DeWitt Mall on the Seneca Street side of the commons.

They also have some savory food options if you're interested in that. The ice cream was great, my wife enjoyed the cake batter and her waffle cone and I got the Reese's pieces sundae which was incredible! I got the small and it was way more than enough. Only go large if you haven't had food in 24 hours. The place was busy but we really had no wait at all. The team was working fast back there. Prices are average for ice cream nowadays and I thought portions were appropriate. They have an inside and outside eating area attached to the creamery and there is more outside down the hill where there is extra parking as well. It's nothing special inside but for an overly hot day nice to have. The outside down the hill provides shade so that is nice as well. Either way a great stop for ice cream if you are in the area. Enjoy!
