I just wanted to say how relieved I am to get our AC back working. Our AC stopped working on 100° day which isn't great. Macs responded within 10 minutes and was able to get a technician out within 2 days. I was expecting much longer. Unit did not need replacing, just a new capacitor. This was a huge relief, considering how expensive new AC units can be. I haven't met anyone else from Macs in person, but I would ask for Javier. He did an excellent job. Great customer service. Terrible customer service. Terrible workmanship. Terrible response time. We hired Xcel to do our air conditioning installation, and they brought in Mac's Maintenance LLC to do the work. The process up to the installation was fine. They sent out someone to look at the house and give a quote, and the installation was to be done in one day. All they had to do was put the condenser on the concrete slab at the side of the house, add the coils to our existing furnace/central heat system, wire the new A/C to its own electrical circuit, and move one air register from the baseboard to higher up the wall. Very doable for three guys. The day of the installation could have gone much better than it did. I was home to hear all the shouting and swearing. It was very unprofessional. All I heard all day long was "shit!" and "fuck!" The guys were banging on things, making noises like stuff was breaking, knocking over my stuff. They shouted at each other through the walls instead of using walkie-talkies or even opening a window. At the end of the day, there was still some electrical work to be done and we still needed a new vent cover for the baseboard air register they had removed. They had left trash and plastic wrappers all over the floor of my furnace room. The electrician came back and finished up the next day. The other people took TWO WEEKS to bring a damned vent cover over. And then! - then, when installing it, dude ruined my baseboard. Instead of cutting or sanding the trim down to make room for the slightly larger vent cover, he hammered it into the corner, splintering the wood, ruining the paint, and just generally damaging everything. I even heard him talking on the phone with someone while he was working: "I'm ruining this woman's trim here, and I don't care." I'm pretty sure this was the same dude who was spouting profanities on the installation day. When he was finished, he moved one of my containers in front of his work, as if he thought he could hide it from being noticed!! Needless to say, we complained. So they agreed to fix the damaged trim. The guy took the piece with him so he could match the trim at the hardware store. It took ANOTHER week for the second guy to bring back new trim (which didn't match, because they don't make that trim anymore) and get it installed. We are now about a month from the original installation date, and had our electrical and mechanical inspection yesterday. The electrical was fine, but the inspector found that all the new duct work that they installed around the furnace is leaking. So now they need to come back out and seal up all the stuff that they should have done in the first place. Keep in mind, this whole ugly process was supposed to be done in ONE DAY. It has now been a month. Judging by their previous track record, it will be another 1-2 weeks before they return to fix it. For something as expensive as an A/C installation (we spent about $5,600), the service has been just terrible. When I spend nearly $6k on something, I expect to be treated like a goddamned princess. read more

They do what is necessary to make it happen, and do it well. When I called, it was as cold as Pelosi's heart outside, and the temp was rapidly dropping. So, my AC went out 2 week ago. After calling a couple of companies that never returned my call, a friend recommended that I give Signature Heating and Air a call. One of their guys came out yesterday and spent a good amount of time checking out my AC, taking pictures and gave my furnace a quick check. After finding that jump starting the compressor wouldn't get the darn thing to come on, he determined that I needed to buy a new unit, and get the furnace to go with it (for multiple reasons which all made sense) Upon recommendation from my boyfriend to get a second opinion, I I called Mac's Maintenance HVAC and I'm so glad I did. Mac's called me promptly, the woman I spoke to was incredibly friendly and sensitive to the fact that I was very bummed at possibly having to fork out 12,000 bucks for new HVAC. She mentioned that many times when a compressor goes out,the result is usually having to purchase a new unit..... Well, today, Tim Eads came to my home give his second opinion. He arrived promptly and within 10 minutes I got a call that my AC was fixed a running! Nicest guy in the world! Apparently, the "Spade Connector" was faulty ( I think I have this right) and all he had to do was replace it. Take my recommendation - Call Mac's for your HVAC, if you've already been told anything like the above from a different company, call MAc's a get a second opinion. I don't know if Signatures guys was pulling a fast one, or maybe he didn't know what he was doing, but you can bet they are going to get a call from me. Stay cool people! read more

Our AC conked out during one of the hottest days this summer. I left a message on a Sunday evening and received a call back first thing Monday morning. They were able to dispatch a repair man early the same afternoon. He arrived during the time slot they gave me. He quickly diagnosed the problem and repaired it, all in less than 45 minutes. It was a fairly inexpensive fix. I really appreciate the honesty, rather than them telling me I needed a whole new AC unit. No complaints at all. read more

Could not be any happier with the service and repair we received from Mac's Maintenance. I'm always a little leary about getting sold something we don't need, or a bill being racked up once onsite. Cormack could not have been more professional. It is currently -12degrees outside, and we realized our heat wasn't working. He was here within two hours and fixed out problem within 30 minutes. I can't say enough about how impressed I am with Mac's Maintenance. I first contacted them on a Sunday night and recevied an email back within an hour. They were very accomodating with my schedule and were able to come to my house that same week. My furnace was noisier than usual which was causing my return vent to be extra loud. It turns out there was a piece of paper and piece of paper towel stuck. Because it was only a five minute fix and did not require any parts, I was not charged for the visit. I called Mac's Maintenance on 2-12/2014 as my furnace was not working. I called at 10:00 am. Cormack answered the phone and did some troubleshooting on the phone with me. Other companies I had called wanted $89 just for the estimate! He said he was able to make it by 1:00 that afternoon. He called when he was on his way as he said he would. He replaced parts, cleaned up others and had my furnace running nicely for a very reasonable price. He explained everything he did and gave me tips for the future to prevent another furnace failure.
