This by far the closest you'll get to a real Philly Cheese Steak in western NY. They actually use a better roll than you can find in Rochester, and please never disrespect a real Cheese Steak Sandwich or Steak Sandwich by calling it Steak Sub it sounds ridiculous. read more

The past two times we have ordered from them, the order has arrived incorrect (missing ingredients, wrong items). When we called Mac's to get it fixed, we are told we have to go through Grub Hub. Grub Hub can't fix it . All they can do it credit the bill. We will not order from here again! read more

Really impressed by the quality of food here! My boyfriend got the cheeseburger plate and I got the cheeseburger wrap and Cole slaw. Everything was excellent and HUGE portions! Friendly staff too. Just wish they stayed open a bit later. Definitely recommend! read more

This place is walking distance for me and my co-workers from our office so we frequent it quite a bit. They have seating downstairs, upstairs and some tables outside in the shade (usually where we end up). U order at the counter, give them ur name and they will deliver it to u wherever u choose to sit. They have a really good sized menu featuring a lot of different iterations of Philly steaks (chicken versions as well), hots, plates... it goes on and on. (Salads too... damnit why can't I go that route?) I honestly have only ever ordered the garlic parm philly steak cuz I can't get myself to try anything else... it's that yummy. U can add onions and peppers, mushrooms (I always get those). The rolls are soft and fresh and... just yum. there are a number of sides u can choose from a la carte but there are combos. I usually get the Mac salad. They offer the Philly steaks in 3 sizes and I usually get the large so I have half for leftovers... it's quite large and I can't imagine eating a whole one but those with larger appetites won't be hungry after eating one! The place is always stocked with everything u need.. clean and the staff is super friendly and efficient. We always get our lunches and walk back to the office in plenty of time on an hour break. It can get busy with downtown foot traffic around noon and seems to be a fav with RPD And RFD... they are usually there when we come in. They still seem to really be able to turn ur food around quickly so don't let a line stop u from sticking around to try that garlic parm steak!! read more

I'd previously gone to and loved the East Rochester location. Was sad when it closed, but joyful to find they had not merely relocated but expanded to other spots. Last night , after a meeting, I went to the Fairport location and got a medium Philly Cheesesteak to go. My car smelled so good it was distracting. Had a feast when I got home. The food is always delish and portions great. It's the only place I'd go for a Philly and now with several locations, they're always close by. read more

The cheesesteak sandwich was the bomb and their fries are really good the bacon cheddar burger could've used a little bit more cheese but it was by far one of the best burgers I've had it was my first time eating here and they definitely blew my taste buds out of the water everything I had was good down to the service and how nice everything looked I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes sandwiches good fries and even plates that I plan on trying when I go back. Nice little spot in Corn Hill for hoagies. There's plenty of room to dine in although I've never done it. I'm a fan of the cheesesteaks, chicken finger subs, and Mac and cheese. The buffalo chicken sub comes with strips of chicken instead of chicken fingers if that is your thing. Always pleasant and ready in 10 minutes. read more

Terrible service. Ordered there many times, probably 5 times in the past 2 or 3 months and all of a sudden they can't deliver to my location after 4pm. I've never ordered from there before 4pm. I live like a mile away. Wont be ordering from there again, what an annoyance. read more

As a Philadelphia born person now living in Rochester, I am happy there is Mac's Philly Steaks! I used to get terrible cravings for different foods from the Philadelphia area, one of them being a cheese steak with fried onions. I am usually very satisfied with the food and service. Today, I am not. It was 8:48pm when I entered to order my food. The hours are suppose to be until 9pm. Upon entering, I was informed that the kitchen shutdown except for fried food. I was very disappointed in the management decision to shutdown early. Make sure you call ahead to make sure they didn't close the kitchen early OR go somewhere else. read more

I decided to eat here because all of the other restaurants in Corn Hill Landing are a bit overpriced. I don't know why Mac's is listed as $$, I thought it was very affordable and the food is good. I got the Island Pork Wrap as a combo with sweet potato fries and a fountain drink and it cost me just over $11. I would definitely come back. read more
