So went to the Thousand Oaks mall to order 2 couches and an ottoman. Well the girl there was talking to us then just left us to help another customer who wanted to buy a way more expensive set. We were not intrigued by then so we left the store... strike one. Then we went to the Macy's in the Westfield mall off Topanga. Everybody was very sweet and everything went great! We ordered our 3 pieces unfortunately it could take up to 3 months which it absolutely did. We were so excited when we heard 2 or the 3 pieces were being delivered this week. When they arrived the ottoman was totally the wrong color. They said do you want to just keep it? I was like what? I special ordered and waited months... I want what I ordered. Well, they said I will have to re-order all over again. So we told them to take back the ottoman. Sure enough we would have to re-order my wife said forget about it she was over them and it. I'm really upset because I really wanted it. Well either way there is one more couch still we are waiting on. Who knows what color it will arrive in. Oh... ps, the scu #for the ottoman that the Macy's warehouse had was actually for a beach chair. I'm like what? My receipt says ottoman Sunkiss Orange! My wife and I purchased couches from Macy's. After a few months we noticed there was a problem with the cushions. After contacting Macy's they sent someone who determined it was a factory default. Then the trouble started when we wanted to exchange for different couches. It took six months for them to process the refund of the couches. They blamed the covid epidemic, but our request stated prior to everything closing. It took a lot of fighting to get things taken care of. If we could get a refund we would, but we are forced to purchase different couches from them. There service has been terrible and would recommend never purchase furniture from Macy's. I was given a pair of jeans by my mother the other day who was told there was no issue just exchanging the size. Normally she would come do it herself but she has stage 4 breast/brain cancer a Sjrkimg 90+ hrs every two weeks; so I wanted to take care of it myself. Because a mistake on one employee they could not exchange the size. This was a gift to me and anyone who knows chemo-mind you are very forget full and they said I change my story when I simply just told them it was purchased a few weeks ago. I recently had the most amazing service at the Woodland Hills Topanga Macy's watch/fine jewelry department. My daughter bought me a beautiful watch for Christmas (at another Macys)) as well as a special warranty for it. The warranty did not cover the repairs that my watch needed when I dropped it. Aaron, the department manager, went out of his way to make sure that I was taken care of. He replaced the watch and extended the warranty for the new watch. Rozaline, the clerk who helped me,was also very kind and helpful. Once a year I shop Macy's, definately not for clothes, but really just for Stella, my favorite perfume. The sales associates do their thing trying to sell me on something, but I guess they wouldn't be doing there job if they didn't try. Im sure some customer's like that but that's not really my thang. Haha I've popped into this to Macy's more times than I'd like to to exchange gifts given to my baby; larger sizes for smaller one's because my baby is growing like a weed, so long/tall. No hassle with exchanges as long as you have a receipt, can't speak for exchanges without reciept. All n all Macy's is fine by me, the sales associates I've encountered have been very nice and transactions, smooth. I'm not like most women, I hate the mall but deal with it when I have to i spend as minimal time as possible. Stay away from this Macy's! I was walking through on a Saturday and was approached by Terri P. from the cosmetics department. She runs up to me with excitement and says " are you 18!? Do you have a license!?" I said yes. And she proceeds to tell me I look like I am in high school (I'm 24). She tells me she can get me a 20% off coupon for "today and tomorrow", so I said sure! I already have their credit card so I have trust within the company. I came in to buy a pair of Jean so I got excited about this coupon she was going to give me. So she has me follow her to a register and swipes my ID and tells me to fill out the information on the screen. Which included my SSN. After I saw this, I asked her THREE times what this was for. She tells me my coupon. Okay, so I'm stupid for letting her lie to me. BUT TERRI opened a NEW CREDIT CARD WITH OUT TELLING ME!!! I told her I already have a card after the process was completed. She said "oh this new card limit with me added onto your old credit card then" I have no trust with Macy's. I'm pretty sure they make their employees meet their quota. Stay away! My reason being giving this place a one star is the ladies at the estee lauder makeup counter,(never had problems at any other department) just this particular one. I couldnt get her name but she had the most rude ass attitude everrrr!!! As i was picking out my foundation shade she was helping a customer that seemed to be irriated by her because she couldnt figure out what she order on the presale. I was waiting patiently because i knew she was helping her out first, the employee looks at me and said "what do you want?" And all i said was "i need to exchange a shade, but i'll wait till your done" and she replied back with a nasty attitude "wWhaAAttttt??" Again i repeated myself with a serious attitude. And then she starts saying "sorry i just had a baby" honestly no one cares , you dont give customers that give you sale a rude ass attitude. And not only that more customers came to pick up there items and she was still rude, So rude that you probably would want to call the manager on her lol. Disgusted with the integrity of the fragrance department. Persian girls there all conspiring together, speaking to each other in Farsi thinking i didn't understand. We were walking around with perfume that we were going to buy, And these "employees" say we can't walk around with it when we know we are going to buy it. We give it and finish shopping and ask for it back and the "female dog" says she just sold it. We ask for the receipt of that sale and she can't produce it, blah blah blah more bs lies and then we say isn't there more even though she said it was the last one, inventory check with the manager that we called for showed otherwise. The same chick volunteers to go get them and comes back intentionally with the wrong perfume thinking we don't know the difference. A few min later we saw the one we were holding earlier stashed away under the other similar looking perfumes. Disgusting people. And all of them were in on it. Only one lady of Asian decent helped us and we made sure we gave her the sale because ofcourse they work off commission. I love to shop, and I used to be one of Macy's best customers. And I live right nearby. This Canoga Park store seems to have downgraded itself to the latter days of Robinson May. Loud scratchy music in the dressing rooms and horrible loudspeaker announcements make me want to leave rather than shop. The gradual elimination of better brands and replacement with generic brands has turned this store into a boring experience and it is harder and harder to find anything I like. I wish I could find it here rather than having to head out to Camarillo outlet for the brands I want. read more

I had my makeup done by Kim for my son's wedding. I deliberately let myself run low on stuff so I could buy from her. They require a minimum $65 purchase. Probably about the same as what Nordstrom would require . Luckily, Kim is a very good makeup artist and I love all the products she used. I ended up with Urban Decay Naked 2 palette an awesome Tarte concealer and a lip gloss that both my daughter and I love. It's by Anastasia and smell like frosting. I still have a few more items I am going to call her and have her send. This was really the way to go because if I would have gone to a salon, they would have charged more, and I wouldn't have any awesome makeup to use for the next year or so. read more

Came in here briefly with my family to help my parents find last minute attire for our cousins outdoor wedding. If I may say, this Macy's is pretty clean and organized. At least, compared to the ones back home or other ones i've been too. Everything was in place and not messy. Normally at noon the store is some what a mess, but this location was not. This Macy's doesn't care about anything but making money (which is obvious but at least PRETEND you care about your customers, these people can't even be ASSED to pretend, and if that isn't saying something then I must be mute!). The employees are actually really wonderful but the managers...I feel sorry for the people working there. They are rude, incompetent, and want to get rid of you as fast as possible so they can go back to doing absolutely nothing. As someone who used to work here, I will tell you upfront, these people do not care and if you get paid even an EPSILON more than what you "should" be getting paid, they WILL get huffy and scold you for it. It was ridiculous! I got paid 50 more cents then I should've and they said I'd be held responsible for the mishap (somehow I'm responsible for their systems...somehow...makes total sense).. I got out last week and I recommend all the employees there do so as well as soon as they can. It's not worth the money, it really isn't. We're not being paid enough to deal with the extra bs. When I come across a store whose employees are so poorly trained that they're practically inept, my frustration quickly shifts to management. The hiring practices and lack of training reflect a failing by the ones doing the hiring and in charge of maximizing their human resources. Worst customer service ever. I've had two negative experiences with them, especially the home dept. and will never shop there again. Once, I purchased a gift card for my mom. When she went to shop with it, they said the gift card had not amount on it. WHAT? I basically had to take my receipt and after a lot of arguing with the manager, they agreed that it was an error and the card was not accurately activated. I also bought an Arthur Court tray that I wasn't sure about. I kept it in the box for a week, never opened, and went to return it. They told me that the merchandise was not from Macy's. just waiting for this miserable place to go out of business as they can't even complete the simplest tasks. i placed a "pick up in store" order online and after standing in line for an eternity (all ahead of me were returns or some type of complaints), i was finally provided with my order. i asked to see the items before paying to confirm they were correct since previous macy's experiences have left me with no faith. the cashier said i have to pay first. no problem, i paid. As i had suspected, the item i was provided with was the wrong color, despite my very clear email order confirmation. the cashier ignored me and started processing the customer behind me. i was left awkwardly standing there, with my toddler, until a different cashier told me he could return it but that i would have to go find my correct item on my own. what a joke! read more
