---Atmosphere, Service & Parking--- You gotta love Macy's....at least I do. This is prob the only department store I really go to and have for numerous years. It's big with multiple floors as they all are. It's clean, and has somewhat nice employees depending on the department they work in. Lots of different stuff from clothes, to accessories, home stuff, furniture, watches and colognes, bags for the ladies, shoes and so on. Now my real issue with this location are the departments such as probably the cologne/perfume departments they have, jewelry and shoe department. With the first two departments you'll find very pushy workers...they just don't give you a break, and it gets irritating. Maybe they make commission or something but it's just not a great feeling with people not giving you a moment just to look around and without them continuing to talk and trying to sell. A simple "Please let me know if I can assist you or give you recommendations" as they walk away, would go a long way. The shoe department (mens) is annoying because of the software they use. I guess there's no way of knowing what sizes of a specific shoe they have without them going to the back...something like that...I just remember some incidence last time that stopped me from buying two shoes, I'll have to update this part once I remember that exactly but regardless..I'm not a size 22 guy like Shaquille O'neal. Besides some spotty service here and there, Macy's has some good quality items with all sorts of brands. They always have some deals going on and coupons are always provided. Use coupons or ask for deals they might have in case you forget any. Parking is abundant since it's in a mall setting, so there shouldn't be a real issue there. read more

Easily the most run down, dirty and cluttered Macy's I have ever been in. Piles of clothes everywhere. Nothing is where it's supposed to be, displays in total disarray. Multiple wrappers strewn all over the place. Not a single person to be found working the sales floor. It's no wonder the Macy's name has fallen after seeing a location like this. read more

The number of stars will really vary from day to day, but today was a good day for Macys. To start with, there is ample parking near the Macys and, with the recent changes to the store, it finally has more upscale clothing and bags. Now only if it could work on getting better shoes... Anyhow, I was checking out some clutches and asked to see a cute Coach one that was locked up. It wasn't what I wanted, and I told the woman what I was looking for. I went off to keep looking and, here she is behind me with a bag in the shape and color I had mentioned. In the end, I didn't want that one, but was very appreciative that she both listened and looked for something I would like. The checkout process (for the ones I did like) went smoothly as well. In the clothing section, as I'm browsing through some shirts and holding on to a few I wanted to try on, I was asked if I wanted a dressing room. I looked around, thinking I had somehow stumbled into Nordstrom without realizing it. But no, I was just receiving superior service from Macys. For some unknown reason, the woman in charge of the Macys By Appointment (personal shopper service) decided to help me. I had a separate dressing room with great service. Now if only they can figure out how to put the proper sizes in their proper positions on those clearance racks! read more

I am no stranger to Macy's!! I love that they have rack upon rack of clothes deeply discounted, with today's sale, a coupon, and an extra discount when you use your Macy's card to save! I went to a "one day sale" at this location. I scored big time! I wound up with the cutest tops, leggings and dresses, for the price of one item! The staff was very friendly, the selection was large and returns are easy to do. Of all the Macy's in LA. I think I found the most stuff at the best price at this one here. And a shout out to Rose in Jr's ( The lady from Armenia) she has the best accent and was A+ in customer service! read more

This review is just for their Home Goods section. Came into this location to buy a few dinnerware sets. I knew they had the inventory because I looked it up online, but once I got there, I had to search for the sets, only to find them hidden underneath a display table. I had to get on my hands & knees to pull them out. Secondly, when I went to check out at the nearest counter, the employee was helping another customer, but made no acknowledgement to my presence. As if she was thinking 'if I don't say hi, he'll go somewhere else.' Well, she was right because after a few minutes, I looked around and found another customer service desk. Not to mention I could tell that that employee was fighting a cold or the flu and I definitely didn't want to be in close proximity to her. The other check out also took some time as the employee was helping a customer who was having some issues with her Macy's card. But at least she did her best to check me out at a different terminal while that customer was on the phone with customer service. I've always had good shopping & customer service experiences at Macy's. But this location definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. Ordered men's suspenders on line, took advantage of the offer to pick them up at the store to save time. Received an email alerting me they were ready within a hour after placing the on line order. How wonderful, the website said since I paid for them already all I needed to do was to go to the store and pick them up....or so it appeared. Wwwwwrrrrrroooonnnnnggggg! Wrong, wrong! After patiently waiting in one line in the mens department, a sales lady sent me to another register on the same floor. So off I went to another line and finally when it was my turn, the salesman directed me ACROSS the counter to a saleslady who after again waiting in her line told me to go up to the third floor to customer service. Now, off I went to the third floor. No signs, so I ended up in the furniture department. Good grief, this was not my idea of saving time. Getting a bit frustrated at this point. The gal in the furniture department sends me to the china department where lo and behold I see a sign which says 'pick up on line orders here'. Well, guess what?? No salesperson in sight! I figured they were all off on the first floor misguiding people. Now I am one hour into this and not happy. I wander into the neighboring small kitchen appliance dept where the saleslady's both have long lines, so, you guessed it.....I wait again. At long last, the lady helps me, and goes to get my item. I ask to see the manager to report this.....I wait 10 minutes, she comes, listens and apologizes. She's very sorry, she will take care of retraining. No coupon offering, nada. Just SO sorry. Meanwhile, it's gonna take a bit of retraining on my part and convincing to get me to order anything or recommend this store again. read more

This Macys used to be a clean, well-stocked store with exemplary customer service. I can still find what I need but it is often very difficult to find an associate to process your order. Several times I've had to search for an associate to complete my purchases. This didn't use to be the case. Now I use macys.com to shop and it is a good experience. I do miss the shopping experience in the store but not the frustrations with trying to try locate a cashier or ask a questions. read more

I came to your store on Black Friday, which isn't my ideal time due to the crowds. This experience wasn't didn't turn out as bad as I thought. In fact the two employees in the bedding department upstairs made my visit a very good one. I want to thank Jennifer in the bedding and sheets department for helping me pick out the perfect sheets that I needed. She walked around with me and suggested top rated sheets & offered her opinion. I also want to give a huge thanks to Marie Rose. I told both ladies that I was disabled and couldn't carry out the items that I purchased because they were too heavy, Marie Rose tried to call Security to help me out to my car with my heavy comforter that I just bought but unfortunately, Security didn't answer. Marie Rose took an extra step and decided she would help me out to the car and assist me carrying my heavy items that I just purchased. They used to be a classy place to shop, that's all changed! Purchased a bottle of Bleu de Chanel 300ml months ago $250 retail . This is a large bottle . And I starting to notice that the fragrance is starting to disappear and I know I'm not using more then a spray at a time. I'm thinking at this pace the bottle will last maybe if I'm lucky a few more months, I pick up the bottle and I notice my counter is wet and it's the Cologne, and I'm looking and looking to see where is it coming from ,there is a pin hole size hole in the glass. So Time has passed but I'm thinking they must have a good return policy so I'm not rushing, I flipped the bottle so it will stand on the sprayer so I can save it from eventually running dry. I call Macy's and of course there phone system does not have a customer service extension , after spending some time trying to get a hold of someone I ask what's your policy on a exchange and I was blown away 90 days! I'm a little confused and extremely shocked over what I just witnessed at this location. Why is it that Macys management is allowing their security to get physical with a teenager over a sweatshirt ?? I was just there with my two toddlers and I felt sick to my stomach having to witness Macys security getting physical with literally bunch of children. Don't you have better protocols in place???? First of all, why are you putting the lives of other people in danger as a bunch of people are throwing fist at each other including your security that caused the escalation??? This is wrong on many levels. Strategize better ways to protect your assets!! God know Macys is a multi mialionar company that can afford better training for his security and assets protection employees. This is ridiculous. This location us very close to home and given that the Christmas Holiday is right around the corner I have been here more than usual. As a return resident to California from Georgia I have been trying to find a location to shop thats comparable to my previous state. This mall is great for grab and go items but for me I like more variety. As a larger man I sometimes find it hard to get items in my size. Like most locations this one does have the larger sizes but they are very limited in their offerings. I would recommend going here because the sales people are nice and the store is clean but if you are looking or a sale or something new you better be the first one there. I am sure allot of the college kids also hit this location causing the low availability of certain items. read more

Let me first off say I never really ever came to Macy's, to begin with..so this isn't a major loss or anything. Macy's you've been around for what feels like decades and now your stores are now equivalent to a Mervins. You remember them right?? The only reason I opened a Macy's card is because a representative (or whatever they call her) told me I'd be getting 50% percent off a suit. No, the suit wasn't for me, let's not get sidetracked. Anywho it turns out what she meant to say was you're getting the suit at 30% off, that discounted price you'll recieve an additional 20% off. Macy's employees do math like this 30% + 20%= 50% yip you'll get it at half off!! I really should have seen that coming... However, not all is a loss. I got my credit score up after a month because of it. Life goes on--I'll continue never shop at Macy's and Macy's will continue to be in denial about there service and the way they're letting there stores look. Seriously, the store looks like something out of a hoarders episode. They really need to get it together if they plan to stay in business for another 5 years. read more

As any department store goes, I look at customer service and price. Macy's is supposed to be high end in terms of pricing for the average shopper who DOESN'T use a Macy's card or try to take advantage of sales. The customer service doesn't say much to improve their typical image. Every department seems to have a labor shortage or that there is a long line for checkout. Sometimes in the cosmetics department, the beauticians scold my mother for having a choice. The customer is always right and should have the freedom to choose what is the best for themselves. Overall, I only shop here when there are sales or when I get a coupon. I think three stars is average and this is what this Macy's deserve. read more

Purchased a handbag online that had a broken clasp. Went to return it at the store & told them the problem. Instead of giving me the refund after being told they didn't carry the product anymore, the salesperson started telling me that it has been further discounted & I could get the difference returned & use it to repair the broken clasp. After I said no, she spent 5 minutes telling me what a bad decision it was to just return it &Zitsow costs nothing to fix. I try to tell her I should not have even gotten this product with the clasp broken. Again I ask for the refund. She finally gives it to me, but continues to tell me what a bad idea it is to return it & someone else will buy it & fix it. No guilt needs to be put on me about what a bad idea it is to return it! Customer wants a refund & has the receipt, just do it! read more

So went to the Thousand Oaks mall to order 2 couches and an ottoman. Well the girl there was talking to us then just left us to help another customer who wanted to buy a way more expensive set. We were not intrigued by then so we left the store... strike one. Then we went to the Macy's in the Westfield mall off Topanga. Everybody was very sweet and everything went great! We ordered our 3 pieces unfortunately it could take up to 3 months which it absolutely did. We were so excited when we heard 2 or the 3 pieces were being delivered this week. When they arrived the ottoman was totally the wrong color. They said do you want to just keep it? I was like what? I special ordered and waited months... I want what I ordered. Well, they said I will have to re-order all over again. So we told them to take back the ottoman. Sure enough we would have to re-order my wife said forget about it she was over them and it. I'm really upset because I really wanted it. Well either way there is one more couch still we are waiting on. Who knows what color it will arrive in. Oh... ps, the scu #for the ottoman that the Macy's warehouse had was actually for a beach chair. I'm like what? My receipt says ottoman Sunkiss Orange! Having lived in Hawaii for 13 years, our wardrobe consisted of shorts and T-shirts. We were invited to a wedding with attire requested as "California cocktail". Needless to say, we needed clothes for this occasion. We went to Macy's in Woodland Hills and were lost in all the choices. We asked a salesperson about a specific sweater one of us liked but the size we needed was not on the table. Michelle (the salesperson) offered to look in the back. When she returned, she said there was nothing in back. She asked if she could help us further. We told her our situation and she explained that she's one of the Fashion Stylists for the store, and she offered to help us. What luck! Michelle was fantastic! She helped my husband find a complete outfit, including shoes. We were so happy with her help, but we had to get going, so we asked when she worked again so that I could have her help me. She gave me her hours for the next time she would be in and we returned on that day. I brought two pairs of pants of my own along with a few pairs of shoes. I told Michelle I didn't want to spend a lot of money and if what I had would be appropriate for the occasion I would only need a shirt or sweater; but if not, I would need her help to find pants and shoes as well. She said what I had would work, so she proceeded to look for a shirt or sweater that would meet my needs. Again, we felt extremely lucky to have met Michelle. She brought me a number of shirts and sweaters from which to choose and I found one I really liked. I, too, now had an outfit appropriate for the wedding. We found out that Michelle not only works in the men's department, so I recommend asking for her when you need help finding whatever you need. Michelle is the perfect example of excellent customer service, and we feel extremely lucky to have met her. read more

I wasted the last 40 min listening to 3 incompetent "managers" that all claimed didn't know how to Override a return, that was a debit transaction, in order for me to get cash back instead of having it go back on to my debit card. The "managers", if thats what you wanna call them, which I am refering to are, Syeda, Irene and Leticia. All three have Failed Macy's with there lack of knowledge and skills that is basically required for any good manager to exhibit. Especially because I would expect Macy's to hire qualified, quality associates that can treat customers with something as basic as respect. No thank you! Never again. There are other options such as Nordstrom, Sephora, etc. at the mall that you can go to for your makeup needs. This place is terrible. Here's my experience: I went to return three Anastasia Beauty products (all new/used) that I bought because it was an impulse buy. I regretted it and took it back to return. A was working at the time and "helped" me. He basically took 10 minutes to "check" my new/used products just to tell me NO that he could not process my returns because I was missing the gift. Ok, that's fine. I get it - I'm sorry that I forgot the gift. But shouldn't you lead with that instead of wasting my time or giving me tons of attitude, like I was beneath you or something. I don't know about him but I don't have all day to do things. I try to get in and out when running errands, especially at the mall because I am on my lunch break. He knew this because I came with a group of other ppl but that didn't matter to him. I will not be returning. As I mentioned, you can get way better customer service elsewhere. He makes me feel really terrible. If you work in retail, you need to show some professionalism. That's how you make commissions, etc. I came back the next day with my gift in hand and the managers were way nicer. Shahla and Reina said they would talk to him but who knows. Danny S. in the mattress dept is an absolute gem. My parents purchased a mattress from him about 2 years ago and had a great experience. When I decided it was time for an upgrade my dad called Danny and sent me in. I left the house with a very modest budget (I've never purchased a mattress before ‍) I started the day at a few mattress shops, as it was Memorial weekend and the TV was filled with ads, practically sounded like they were giving mattresses away. I had a horrible experience at 2 different shops, so off to Macy's I went. I must say I was reluctant as I have stopped shopping at Macy's, it's always so cluttered and you can never find anyone to help you. Being a veteran/mgr of a high end Dept store known for customer service it literally gives me anxiety to walks into Macy's. Sorry, but it's true. Danny S. Completely changed my mind. He was SO knowledgeable, attentive and helpful. He noticed how I was laying on certain mattresses and was able to help me select the bed of my dreams. It was 3 times my budget (at a FANTASTIC Memorial Day deal) but I couldn't be happier to spend the money. He took his time and treated me like family. He explained all the benefits of the care program and obliged as I threw every "what if" scenario his way. He explained the delivery service, and called me within 10 min of the guys leaving to make sure that everything was perfect. If I step back into Macy's, it will be because of Danny. This is a review for NAVID at the Men's Fragrance Department. I walked inside the store earlier tonight. It was around 8:40 (they close at 9pm). He was the only guy left in this section and I asked his help on how I can exchange my Fragrance bec. I think it changed the way it smells on my skin ( I bought it a month ago but was barely used). He was very straight and friendly and pretty much knows what to do. After returning my Fragrance, he helped me a lot with what other brads I can go to. He was very transparent with the smell of every brand I'm looking at. He even gave me a good amount of sample with the brand I'm looking forward to purchase next so I will have a good idea with its performance. It was over all a great service Will definitely be looking for him to make my next purchase! read more

No matter what department you're in at this Macy's, there is no sense of cleanliness and very cramped. Also, EXTREMELY low staffed. No matter what checklane i went to, every person who is paying takes about 15 minutes due to some sort of cost issue that the customer doesn't like. read more

I was trying to return a shoes that I have walked in inside my house for 5 min to make sure it is comfortable and when the associate saw it , she accused me of damaging it and of lying when I told her I didn't wear it outside my house . She didn't care when I asked to speak with a manager. Of course she has learned from the best! I am a platinum member but would never buy shoes from Macys again. Ok this review is for FARIBA who MANIPULATED me into opening a new Macy's credit card having me believe she was just going add me as an authorized buyer. Just 2 days ago my husband opened up a credit card with Bianca. Why in the world would I want a BRAND NEW ACCOUNT?! When she started the process it was the same as opening a new account, I'm not stupid and I knew already what she was doing. Especially after reading another review stating she got scammed into the same thing. I stressed to her SO MANY TIMES "ARE YOU SURE YOU ARE JUST ADDING ME AS AN AUTHORIZED USER?!" She kept assuring me she was, so I let her continue. After everything was over, she let me know we had a NEW ACCOUNT. Complete BS. The manager, JEANNE, came and even confirmed FARIBA opened a new account. I was so pissed off my husband had to tell me to let him talk because he knew I was going to go off on FARIBA.
