This Macy's is better organized than the Lenox location and it was known for its quality selection & fantastic sales. The deals were better than Dillard's (which no longer has sale days) or even Nordstrom's Rack. Two months ago, it would have been rated 4 stars.. Parking Park near the Chic Filet side entrance (furniture section) or in the covered deck. Or plan to drive in circles looking for a spot or walk a half a mile from your car. Customer Service IF you can find a cashier, they are usually helpful. Because they're absent, I'm often mistaken for an employee. I can be wearing yoga pants, if I have Macy's merchandise in my hands I will be asked where restrooms are. Expect a ridiculously long wait in the shoe department! Atmosphere The music is awful, the lines are slow, the fitting rooms are hot and dusty & it's hard to find items. One rack had women's suits (plus, regular & petites) with activewear, Xmas sweaters & PJ's! And there are racks of clothes that have been piled up from the fitting room & never returned. Layout Contemporary women's wear (jeans, active wear), shoes, perfume, furniture & menswear are on the 1st floor (mall entrance). Returns are also on the 1st floor. Women's dresses, suits, intimate ware and swimwear are downstairs with the kids' clothes. Kitchenware, bedding, household goods is upstairs. Ladies Fitting Rooms There's one fitting room that's large and well lit (with a long line if there's a sale). The other fitting rooms are the dark and the size of broom closets! Also, the mirrors in the tiny fitting rooms are obstructed by a built-in seat. Sales A month ago there were Last Act sections in every dept. where you could get brand names like Ralph Lauren & Calvin Klein for rock bottom prices! Ex. dresses marked down from $180 to $25. Now the racks are few and far between, the discounts aren't as steep & they are final sale. Macys now has a few racks of cheap, off-brand clothes for $13.99 and $21.99. Look out Ross, you've got competition! Returns 90 days on most merchandise, 30 days for Backstage (a cheap area in the basement at Lenox that reminds me more of a knock-off Marshalls). Last Act returns just went from 60 days to FINAL SALE. Macys Card An AMEX which can be used anywhere. Spending = $10 Macy's gift card rewards. Gift cards never expire & if you spend enough they'll mail coupons (exclusions apply). But if you're a minute late on the bill they won't hesitate to call the debt collectors! In short, Macys used to be a less expensive alternative to Nordstroms. But at the rate they're going, I hope they stay open. Macys needs to hire more staff & make all merchandise eligible for a return like every other dept store. read more

The sales woman was kind enough to apply the sale for me a day early, even though I had to put it on hold and pick up later since I had no Macy's card. Social distancing, and face masks are required before entering and shopping here. I came in the Men's department to find my husband a Polo outfit. They had a good selection, but a lot of the items were shorts and short sleeve shirts. So I kept looking and finally found a really nice Polo sweat suit. Also, I found him some Polo jeans and a Polo hoodie. The total was $495, so that was pretty decent for Polo attire. Fine Jewelry Department: Another visit back to Macy's to exchange the other two necklaces previously purchased & being assisted by Fouzia, the Sales Associate was such a delight. She & her co-workers buzzed around the counters assisting customers. In addition to their mask requirements, I appreciated the constant cleaning between customers, especially with people trying on jewelry. The presence of Hand Sanitizers is a positive overkill. As a preface, I want to say that my expectations when I shop at Macy's are generally ~pretty low~. This location has a pretty big selection, and overall everything seems organized. I was in there pretty much as soon as they opened, so I'm not sure if that changes as the day goes on. I passed by several employees, and not one of them uttered a word to me. Every single one of them looked at me, but said nothing. They greeted each other though. I didn't really care because I didn't need help, but still found it to be a little odd. Awkward. My biggest issue was that the fitting room was pretty dirty. Biohazard level? No. Keep your shoes on? 100% yes. I understand maybe a little debris here and there, but every fitting room looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a MINUTE. It was gross lol. Finally, I was ready to check out but couldn't find anyone to check me out. I circled around maybe three times before I found someone checking out another customer. Now I know pretty much everywhere is going through a staff shortage, so I didn't really blame them or care. Got some extra steps in, and the associate was very nice. Just something to think about it you do visit on a time crunch. Will I be back? Probably. Do I WANT to go back: No, but it's Macy's so it's inevitable. read more

I came to Macy's to return a pair of jeans that I had purchased online. I went to the men's department and waited about a minute while three salespeople finished their discussion at the cash register. This kind of got me annoyed because they weren't even talking about work. I wasn't asked for the reason for the return. I showed my online purchase receipt and the return was completed with a credit back to my credit card all within a minute. It had been a long time since I'd been in this specific store, so I decided to walk around. All of the employees wore face masks, and many of the customers wore face masks, but used them as chin straps, and I steered clear of them. The store is clean, and I didn't notice any departments with narrow walkways or fixtures that were too close to each other. I saw employees walking around, but no one asked me if I needed any help until I walked into the furniture department. Wow! The furniture department is huge! Everything seemed pricey, though. Throughout the store, there were sales here and there, and Macy's credit card holders were eligible for even deeper discounts. I prefer this Macy's to the one at Town Center. Not sure as to why but the lay of the land is better or maybe the people that work here are better. When I needed Shisedo stuff in the past I would drive out of my way to come to this store. I've had great experience at the Chanel make up counter here in the past as well with the sales associate helping me find a lipstick that had been discontinued. I will not be shopping at this location again. I purchased two pair of shoes. One was given to me at the time of purchase and the other was supposed to be mailed. I was fine with that. I walk to another part of the store and realize the shoes were cheaper online so I go back to the show department and the guy says no problem I'll get the discount for you. I should have known when I had to repurchase the shoes, everything was going to go down hill. I have receipts showing the returns and I even waited for the charges to fall off my account. Nope. They ended up being charges. Now, I'm having to dispute it all with my bank because these people are incompetent. Why is there so much of an issue for an item purchased and returned in the same day? This Macy's is located apart of Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody. I really like the mall so I come here often. This store is very clean and carry a lot of items for the most part. Their furniture collection is huge and fun to walk through. CARDHOLDERS You definitely save a lot being a member. Discounted brand name items. Why not?! SHOES I've bought a couple pair of shoes here and have not been disappointed. Definitely love the sales at Macy's and discounts applied on top of it being a cardmember. Talk about a bargain! SERVICE This is the catch though. Lately, the service here has been a hit most of the time. For example, sale reps that are on the floor, but chatting with their co-workers. Totally fine and I know you have to do that to get through a work shift, but if there aren't anyone assisting customers at the register (any register) then something is wrong. This review is for the Bedding dept of Macy's. If you are into the luxury of the bedding in your home, and likewise very selective in your pillows, then go to Macy's now. Shopping there was the best experience I ever had for purchasing new pillows. The selection was far larger than any other store with actual in-stock items and best sale prices over 50% off on major designers. The sales clerk was both very kind and knowledgeable. I LOVE Macy's! I basically grew up in a Macy's so long ago that it was once a Burdines! This Macy's in particular isn't the largest but certainly has everything in it. The employees are very knowledgeable and give their honest opinion. For example, there was one shirt I tried on and the sleeves were just right but it was 100% cotton and an employee said "it will shrink, don't do it". I took her advice and I'm glad I did! They do have a large shoe department which I like. I'm probably at this Macy's about 2-3 times a month. It's in a great location too right off 400 and parking is plentiful and FREE! I'm pretty sure the Men's department is larger than the Women's department which is slightly disappointing (not gonna lie). They have excellent discounts especially if you open a Macy's credit card, you receive 20% off most of your purchases! It's a great deal! I didn't want to buy a couch online---I wanted to test it out first and I saw online that Macy's had a nice one. I went to the store and DW helped me---he was really easy to work with. They let me know the delivery date and delivery was no problem. They even called after to see if things were ok with the couch. I would buy more furniture here. read more

That feeling when you wonder how a place has avoided being Yelped by you in the years you've been on YELP and going to a particular retailer. That aside, I will say that I've had some horrible customer service experiences here and some absolutely over the top assistance here. By far the best mens department over the other metropolitan locations. Once they had a $799 leather jacket on display for $79.99. Of course the cashier tried to tell me she couldn't give me an $800 leather coat for $80, but in my "the customer is always right" tone of voice, I requested the manager, and was allowed to purchased said jacket for $80. All at the same time requesting that I tell her exactly where the jackets were hanging so no one else got the same deal. I was happy to direct her to the area. The MAC counter is a recent add to the store, and with a stand alone MAC store, and a Mac counter in Nordstrom, this mall gives you the best MAC for your buck square footage wise. The shoe department is fairly well ran and staffed compared to other Macy's The junior department is the worst for checking out. You can never simply walked up to that register, so I generally find a different area for checking out when shopping in that area of the store. Yes, the ladies that hawk the fragrances will spritz something in the air directly in front of you and then ask you if you are interested in testing. Uh no....I'm wearing it up my nose right now. Overall, its Macy's. Product made in China with the Great American mark-up in pricing. Always funny to me that some of Ralph Lauren's Americana products sold here, have the made in Taiwan or China tags inside the garments. read more

When I use to live here in the Atlanta area I visited Macy's looking for some new designer clothing that I liked and I stumbled apon Christian Audigier (clothing god in Los Angeles, California). I found some very nice t shirts and board shorts as well that was designed by him! The ladie staff here at Macy's is top notch they will help you when you need something or having troubles finding a size. I like some of the clothing they have for sale here at this Macy's location they do have many designer clothing which is really nice if your looking for a different brand of clothing. They sale watches, fragrance, ties, suits, watches and shoes. I can say I been here a few times in the past both times have been great experiences dealing with the customer service with the employees when needed help finding my size which is hard to find now days cause of my height! read more

This is for the Bobbi Brown Cosmetics counter here, not sure how the rest of the store is. Basically I felt I had to write this to say that if you like Bobbi Brown, or want to know anything about them, THIS is where to go. They have everything in a dedicated space which is just fantastic. It's not like Nordstroms or Sephora with a small section of a wall of their stuff, this place has EVERYTHING and the people manning the counters know their stuff. Honestly, it kind of feels like a pop-up inside Macy's. Not sure if that's what they are going for, but yeah, really nice. What I feel truly sets this location apart, is that they carry both the full make-up and full skincare line. Very few places carry both ranges in store so that's really awesome for someone like me who really just loves the brand cuz I can try out all the products there before I buy them. They also are fairly generous with the samples, so if you have any concerns about whether or not a product will work for you, then this is another great reason to stop by here. I also wanted to call out that I received some FANTASTIC and enthusiastic customer service from Stephanie Henderson. She was supposed to head home and stayed late because she saw everyone else was busy and didn't want me to stand around waiting. In-spite of my insisting she just go home and let me wait, she tried a ton of different products on me, set me up with some samples, and then helped me order the tonic they were out of which I really wanted. Seriously, she loves the product, she kept getting excited and saying "Oh, you know what, this is probably gonna work better on you, let me try this" Just really fun and gracious. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I get excited about make-up and I like to shop from other people who also get excited about it. She totally did! A MUCH BETTER EXPERIENCE THIS TIME AROUND! This store is certainly due for an update especially after my previous rant regarding poor customer service. Among the anchors at this mall, Macy's is easily one of the busiest and has the best sales before, during and after the holidays. I came in today to check out their selection of bags. My favorite everyday bag is a convertible bag with numerous pockets. It can be worn as a back-pack, carried by its short handles or slung onto one shoulder. This is the perfect bag for shopping because it leaves your hands totally free and it stays in place. When I find a bag that I like, I usually wear it around the store for a while before deciding. This time I decided that I wanted to explore other options before deciding and the associate was gracious enough to hold it until I returned. I returned and as soon as he lifted it out of the bag, I knew that it was the one. I specifically wanted a leather bag that is less casual than the ones I currently own. This would be a more structured bag with double handles and the optional shoulder strap. This one also had exterior slip pockets for easy access, great internal organization and a super soft lining. I've seen better and I've seen worse. This Macy's is located at Perimeter Mall, and has a nice selection of products. Their men's store rivals even Lenox Mall's sizes and choices. They carry quality products and have a wide variety of designers available. Parking is convenient, free, and not too difficult to come by except maybe on a Saturday. The employees here aren't overly friendly and it can be difficult to find someone to assist you - especially in the dressing rooms. I appreciate when employees occasionally check-in and offer to bring you other sizes. Half the time what you chose runs big or small and it's a hassle to go back in and out 10 times before finding what you need. While the racks themselves were fairly well organized, there were rails of clothes everywhere - in the dressing rooms, next to the registers, etc. It just gave a messy presentation and made you wonder if what you were looking for was hidden somewhere in the mess. I definitely think this Macy's can step up its game a little bit in both cleanliness and customer service. read more

Shoe department elderly worker is very forgetful and lost a sale. We tried to get a shoe, gave her the display, she took it to the back and forgot. Then said the shoe "disappeared" when we asked for the display back. She repeatedly asked us what the brand of shoe was and the size we wanted. I am mortified at what Macy's employees are doing in order to get people to upgrade their Macy's card to a Macy's American Express! I decided I would upgrade because I would get an extra 20% off of some items that I really liked. I let the employee run my credit for the upgrade and I was approved and got my 20% off. Well, come to find out, that wasn't an upgraded Macy's card! That was AN ADDITIONAL credit card! So, I get a letter in the mail that says that I am NOT approved because I already have a Macy's credit card and they don't let you have 2 Macy's credit cards! Do not fall for this scam! The employees will do whatever it takes to show that they have a card on the board for their contest! In fact, they get credit for a card even if they run your credit and you are not approved! I am very disappointed Macy's!!! read more

The Macy's at Lenox is probably a slight step up from this location, especially the women's shoes section is too small compared to the Lenox location. The women at most of the cosmetics counter here, especially Dior, are quite rude to the point of being obnoxious. Plenty of parking. I bought a mattress on 7/13/2021 with a delivery date of 8/3/21 his new bed came 7/17/21 so we had to wait two in half weeks for the mattress to arrive. My son has been sleeping on the couch waiting for his mattress to arrive. I received a message from Macy's stated your delivery date is schedule for 8/26/21 I called to see what is the problem why his mattress is not arriving on 8/3/21 as scheduled the rep had the nerves to tell me "well you bought it on 7/13/21" I told her I don't care when I bought it I was told my mattress would be delivered on 8/3/21 this sorry representative had the nerves to tell me well it's no guarantee you will receive your order, if I was told that in the store when I bought it I would have took my business somewhere else. I told the salesman my son new bed is arriving on 7/17/21 he will not have a bed to sleep in. He stated if you can wait two in half weeks we will have it to you. Now I'm told it's no guarantee you will receive your mattress as scheduled. I will never buy anything else out of Macy's I'm sick of these stores they need to close down. read more

BEWARE: they will charge you exorbitant credit protection charges without you knowing when you sign up for a credit card or special events on your Macy's credit card. Those charges are equivalent to 144% interest over a year. I would say read your contract carefully, but they use other schemes to prevent you from reading over your contract and tie-ins from previous contracts. SHAME ON YOU MACY'S! Wish there was a 0 Star. Go over there if you are okay with a racist and worst customer care. Wanted to return two items. I had the exact receipt and the clothes with tag on them. They told the items were not on the receipt and they couldn't pull it from the system. They asked me to go to the service desk in the second floor. The guy over there told he is facing the same problem and can't do anything about it. I felt I was doing a root cause analysis to figure out why, while it should have been them. The guy at the service desk told, "Find out the person who sold it to you and return it". Such a cheap customer experience. They should know to track an item in their system, enter the correct item ID while billing and figure out a solution when there is an issue. And of course treat people with respect. You guys do not care about your jobs. You shouldn't make customer go from one desk to another and finally tell to " find out the person who sold it to you and return it". Went in here looking for a new shirt for a presentation my boyfriend had to give at work. We had gone to the Cumberland Macy's and the women there told us they no longer carried Ralph Lauren shirts (eyeroll). We traveled to Perimeter and the first salesman we talked to was okay...but he wouldn't help my boyfriend with any of his card or birthday discounts. We ended up bumping into another salesman, Harold, who was SO helpful and SO kind!! Harold patiently looked at our coupons, rewards, etc, and helped us get the best price on our dress shirts.
