Went to the mall with my little sister to get her a dress, and needed to walk through Macy's to leave the mall. We enter the store with mini pretzels and start walking towards the escalator to go down to the main level and a lady, whom i assume is a manager, eyes me and starts "discreetly" following us all across the store. As me and my sister approached the escalator she sees that they have a Toys R Us section and wanted to get a picture with the giraffe. So she sits down and asks me to sit down too and I do so that we can take a selfie. As i am handing my sister the pretzels so I can grab my phone to take the photo, the same manager lady comes up to us and says, " Girls this really isn't the place to sit and eat." , in an angry tone. She was very rude and stood in the area until me and my little sister got up and left. All we wanted to do was get a photo with the Toys R Us, giraffe on the bench, then leave. Don't put a bench in your store if you don't want people to actually use it for its function. Would not recommend this Macy's as the staff can be very rude. read more

I absolutely love Macy's Department Store. No matter which state or city I'm in, they never seem to fail me. This particular one is neat and pretty huge. Many people were shopping for jackets, hoodies and Fall wear. Not sure if school is out today. Many kids were in the store today with their parents. Today, I didn't get anything for myself. I got my son a jacket and a hoodie for his birthday and my husband a hoodie and t-shirts. They had a decent sale, just not what I was looking for. I did find a Coach purse that I liked, but it didn't come in black. If I had to do it all over again, I would take my time and shop for me on the first floor and not go on the second floor with my son in the Men's section. He was looking for all type of Nike hoodies, but seem like him and my husband has every color. They got a North Face Hoodie and my son got a Tommy Hilfiger down jacket. read more

I ordered a wedding gift (a blender), paid for the gift to be wrapped and delivered. When it was delivered, the blender box was opened; rough looking as if it was a returned item and a miserable red ribbon was attached. I paid the $6 Macy's charged so that the gift could wrapped, not a ribbon attached to an unwrapped half opened box. I am very disappointed. Macys could do better. If Macy's advertised that it will wrap gifts, and the customer paid for that service, then the gift should be well wrapped or don't offer that service. read more

Super convenient location very close to I-90. I stopped here for the Macy's and the Target in the same complex. The Macy's was a little smaller than others I've visited, but I was pleased that there were several employees on the floor that were actually able to help me find things. There was also a cashier available to check me out right away. Very easy parking right out in front of the store. I'll be back! read more

Visited the store the other day looking to update several of my suits. Seeing that I had the day off I was in jeans, t shirt, baseball hat. The associate walked pass me several times and never a "hello," or "is there anything I can help you with?" I was there probably 40 minutes trying things on and deciding on my purchase. I decided to just purchase them online instead of giving him the commission and the store the sale. read more

This weekend we stopped in at this Macy's location to place some items on our wedding registry. When we went into the registry department we were greeted by a pleasant employee who set us up with a scanner and let us scan our little hearts out. As we walked through the store we found a lot of great items on sale, and the prices were pretty reasonable. The appliances were prices well and they also had a ton of different bedding options. The only critique of the whole store was the fact that some of the departments were unorganized and cluttered. The majority of the sections were well organized, but others looked like a tornado passed through it. The other minor issues was that some of the items didn't have prices on them which made it difficult to assess options. Overall, not a bad Macy's location, but it could use a little fine tuning. The staff was really polite and they had a ton of items, but having prices on all items would have made out lives much easier. read more

I bought a bra from Macy's on Sunday. When I wore it yesterday it gave me a rash all over my chest that I still have today. They gave me a huge problem about returning it because I wore it for 2 hours before going out of my way to go home to change of it. Never thought I would be complimenting a retail assistant at a large department however excellent service should not go unnoticed. I was in the men's wear section looking for a particular item of clothing. A young gentleman named Darien asked me if I needed assistance. I did. After looking for a certain size which he couldn't locate, he then made a phone call to see if there was one in the back. No luck. However he didn't give up and continued searching. At the checkout when purchasing a similar his memory was jogged. He told me to wait and he would look one more time in a different spot. Success. Darian is an asset to this company. Pleasant, knowledgeable and friendly but most of all good at his job. Kudos Darian from one impressed shopper. read more

The salesperson, Vandana Basu, totally messed up our rug order. She sent it to the wrong address and refused to correct the error with UPS, told us that we needed to fix the problem but Everyone knows that only the shipper can fix it. I had to drive 100 miles in Friday afternoon traffic to rescue the rug. Please spare yourself a lot of trouble and order your rugs elsewhere. read more

Never have I ever been so discriminated and embarrassed in my life. The Portuguese associate goes about and beyond for her family customers but when I'm next in line. All I heard was her mumbling in her own language and giving me dirty looks. I made an expensive purchase of tuxedos and wasn't even given the protective cover that the Portuguese customers were given in front of me. I just starting shopping Macy's because of a wonderful experience I had in Boston. The associate helped me find a beautiful dress for my daughter's wedding. I ended up even getting their store card which normally I would decline but when I heard about the discounts coupled with the super helpful customer service I figured I would use it in my local Holyoke Mall store. Well, lets just say I am closing the card TODAY. I went to the Holyoke Mall Store yesterday with a group including a friend her two children, my two daughters and my daughter fiance. We went to purchase some school items for the kiddos and my eldest daughter tagged along because she was looking for new bedding for her new apartment with fiance. Our first encounter started up in bedding. We were greeted politely by a women their who was explaining that even though I had a 25% off coupon housewares only went to 15%. That was OK, she was nice and my coupon stated restrictions applied. Where it got weird is when we looked up from the sheets and 2 store associates were staring directly at us. Not a little glace, but a full on we are watching you. My daughter mentioned it and I said something to the affect of ah, some people are just like that and they probable have a lot of theft issues. I grabbed my sheets and we proceeded to head towards kids/furniture. It was then I noticed the two ladies in bedding standing in the aisle watching us all the way in kids. Again, full on staring at us, not approaching to see if they could help just plane staring us down. I said to my daughters I wonder how far these gals are willing to take this and we headed over to furniture and wouldn't you know it we started to get followed down there as well. No exaggeration, the furniture guy was creeping up behind watching us trying to hide. At this point I was starting to feel like the participants of the Stanford Prison Experiment...maybe we were thieves! Geez. My friend finished in the kids section and purchased her stuff and we went downstairs to juniors where again we were descended upon by swat team 6 of associates who again NEVER bothered to ask if we needed help but just were there to full on stare at us. When I did ask for help Deb down in juniors was so ignorant. I said excuse me and she didn't even make eye contact with me while I was asking about sizing, she continued to fold away. Kind of funny since all they did was stare at us and now when I am asking for help they decide to now ignore us. At this point I was good and mad and felt like I wanted to confront the situation. I didn't though. I choose to buy the kids their stuff and move on which in hindsight I wish I didn't and I may still make a return against my children wishes to keep their stuff. I get it, there was a lot of us. I am sure loss prevention probable sent out an all points lookout but it felt degrading and humiliating. Forget terrible customer service, it went way beyond that. Absolute lack of basic manners from these store associates. If we were so much of a concern they could have taken a customer service approach and asked what we needed and asked to help. It would have been welcomed because we were planning on making some significant purchases that day. We actually used it as a learning experience for the kids, "see how it feels to be prejudged? Great selection of dresses for every occasion! The only place I found decent dresses for an upcoming wedding. The staff was so helpful and helped me find a certain size I'd been looking for as well as inform me of coupons to save on my purchase. They were so friendly! I would definitely recommend Macy's if you're looking for a stylish dress or most anything else you may be looking for. Be sure to expect great customer service. read more

The first floor is great and there's a very pleasant young lady working in the juniors section, but there's a cashier on the second floor in the home section who makes me avoid this store all together. She is completely psychotic, and is most definitely a coke addict. She has made me so uncomfortable, and I've seen other customers walk out without their armful of goods because of this woman. Seriously, Macy's, have some standards when hiring!!! I find it very hard to believe that her manager hasn't noticed that she clearly has a severe drug problem. read more

Aggressive salesperson tried to sign me up for the Plenti Rewards program by AMEX- we already have one, she would't look it up and we did not get credit for our large purchase. Told we have to return the items and buy them back- HUGE hassle. Macys no longer gift wraps even bridal registry- HUGE NEGATIVE FOR ME. Plenti rewards also a hassle can't help- married couples have to have individual accounts and link them- wouldn't tlak to me regarding spouses account- Really? Seems like a way to big brother track your spending habits and more hassle than it's worth. Paid more for item than Home depot online but did not have extra time to ship- Macy's is expensive and doesn't price match- I rarely shop there anymore. Petites sept has been banished to back of the store and has older women styles. read more

If you choose to buy anything in this store, best of luck to you. It is the holiday season and I expect it to be busy and there to be lines. However, after waiting in line I do not expect the clerk at the counter to say "I am leaving for the day, you will all have to find a diffrent register" and walk off. I also don't expect when I go to make a return to wait in line, only to be told "I don't have any money in the register, you will have to go to that register over there." And finally I don't expect to try to use the Macy's Bucks that they are rolling out only to be told at the regiser that I first need to go to the "executive offices" to print out the Macy's Bucks so I use them at the register. I wasn't even aware that they have "executive offices" never mind where they are located in the store. If you venture in this store to make a purchase I sincerly wish you better luck than I had. There is one good thing that came from of all of this. I no will no longer venture into Macy's and can walk right on past the store as they will not be getting one more dime out of me. read more
