My husband and I just spent over 1.5 hours trying to resolve an issue when I tried to place an order on-line and my Macy's card was declined. When I called, they said absolutely nothing was wrong with my card, yet...I could not get the order completed. Supervisors did not help (couldn't even get a return call) so had no other option than to close my account. Since they have outsourced their credit area everything has gone down, down, down hill! I had a 30 second question about shoe stretching. The associate Aaron (working at 8pm 12-22-16) picked up the phone, said hold on, and then left me on the phone for 25+ minutes. I called the women's shoes department instead and asked for a manager. She put the phone down, not on hold, and left the phone there for 10 minutes. Horrible, horrible service. Plus... I've seen things here that are also at Burlington. No reason to go here. They should go out of business. read more

Unfortunately this Macy's seems to be in rapid decline in terms of both merchandise and service. A year ago the staff were friendly, engaged and customer-centric. Today they seem ignorant and disaffected, continually insolent and not making you feel welcome. The MAC counter seems excessively ambivalent and bigoted. I watched 3 customers ignored while looking for help yet a walk up was treated like a princess. With the exception of the jewelry counter this seems to be a pattern of stereotyping and poor judgement. As a Macy's elite customer I am appalled and will be crossing this awful place off my destination list. read more

I have to be honest, I tend to shop at Macy's on sales, mostly after Christmas Sales. So my experience is likely not the optimum. But I do not expect it, I expect 60% off the high retail price. Mostly I buy dress shirts, pants and suits. They have a good selection and generally good colors for me. What is with all the easter egg and fluorescent colors for mens shirts though, ugly. Well, mostly the staff seem to do their best with a system that is just not set up for those sale days. Some staff are really good and go out of their way and some just phone it in. On sale days, lines are long and selection drops off, but they have online ordering too...Out options for dress clothes in the IE are a bit limited. read more

Thank goodness for a Macy in San Bernardino. It's well-organized, has a good variety of clothing and goods (make-up, perfumes, jewelry, bed, bathroom and kitchen items). The staff is pretty available and will help you find whatever items you need. The prices reflect national prices and there is nothing special as that goes. This Macys isn't as spacious or luxurious as the Victoria Gardens location, but it will do for the neighborhood. Before the demise of Robinsons May Macys was on the other side of the mall. Parking in the parking structure is the most convenient in my opinion. Besides the fact it provides your car with shade. The Inland Empire heat can be treacherous. This Macys is my go to spot for MAC. I'm a true MAC girl and am happy I don't have to drive to Riverside for that. Although they don't carry Dermablend at this location. While all Macys carry the same merchandise, this location doesn't cater to a woman of her 30s. Their clothes are either too old or too young. read more

This store has terrible customer service. I order online so that I don't have to go into the store and wait in long lines. They don't have a separate line for online orders so when I go to pickup my orders I still have to wait in the long return line. I placed an order online for shoes and when they came they didn't fit. I don't go to the mall often as we are in a pandemic and when I went to return the shoes I was told that it was past their return time. WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC! Macy's should be grateful to have people shopping at their store still, a lot of businesses are closing down because of COVID-19 and Macy's is going to say I can't return or exchange even because I chose not to come return my item within the amount of days allotted. That's ridiculous, I will be calling customer service/ corporate about this. read more

Avoid this Macy's at all costs. I came to this Macy's today because my husband and I wanted to purchase a new mattress. We waited for about for approximately 30 minutes and no one came to help us. I finally went to the cashier and asked for help. She informed me that she could not help us because she was not a "mattress expert" ( fair enough). She called the manager to locate the mattress expert and the cashier comes back and asks me to wait for the mattress expert because she's on break. Per the cashier, she would return in 5 minutes and that the mattress expert would return at 5:15 p.m. It was 4:30 p.m. when she told me this. We basically had to wait for the mattress expert for about 45 minutes. My husband and I decided to leave. How hard is it to ring up a mattress? We already knew what we wanted. We decided just to purchase it online. They give way too much power to the mattress expert here. The staff treats her like she has a Ph.D. in Mattresses and wait on her on hand and foot. read more

Anytime I have gone to this Macy's I get ignored and discriminated against. Today I thought it would be different I went in to buy my mom a Mother's Day gift. I was in the Michael Kors section trying to purchase a purse, I waited about 10 mins before I was greeted then was told they had one customer ahead of me and would come help me after. She helped that customer then proceeded to help any other customer who walked by and ignored me. I use to work customer service and I understand it can get busy, but I felt outright disrespected. The same employee who said they would get back to me greeted someone they knew and continued to conversate with them even though they got there after me. It just felt disrespectful. Prior to this i had an employee assume I couldn't afford a perfume I was interested in buying, as they kept suggesting cheaper "more affordable" options. You're better off going to the Macy's in Rancho Cucamonga. read more

I went to make a return on a item purchase, I had my receipt and they told me I could not return item. Manager Norene did not care about going out of here way to providing me with excellent customer service. she took it upon her self on making decision that she would not take item back. However it does not state in receipt that I have a time frame to make return or is the company's policy. I would rather go to Rancho Cucamonga store. I had good expirences at this store. read more

Have made two visits here. Was not aware this location was here. It is a pretty decent sized store. The 4 employees I interacted with were all very helpful and friendly. The first visit I found what I needed. I thought I was going to have an issue originally but the manager was called and things were straightened out right away. The second visit was not successful. The employee did help me locate the exact item I was in search of though. I will be back next time I can shop. read more

I couldn't believe my eyes as I tried to shop for clothes for my child that wears 2T. They have nothing but cheap cartoon and hello kitty clothes. Seriously the clothes section was comparable to Wal Mart! They do not carry children's shoes! I did notice this past weekend that they do have a small selection of Guess clothing for women. The selection here for womens clothes is not the best compared to the Montebello Macy's. The staff here is way good though. Very helpful. Loss prevention is awesome too. I got locked in a womens changing room and they came with the tools I need to break myself out! It was the most interesting visit to Macy's yet. I did not find the pants I wanted in the color or size I needed. But, it is the closest Macy's to where I am. Although I would return, I would probably go to the Macy's at Tyler Mall first. read more

Came to the shoe department with my mom on a Saturday morning. We were both looking for a pair. There were 2 employees in the department & there were a few other customers there as well. One of the girls asked us if we needed help. Same employee assisted my mom in finding her size when my mom didn't find her size in the rack. We stood in line with a few customers in front of us. The same helpful employee saw the backed up line & assisted us on another register. I forgot my Macy's card & Catrina mentioned that with my ID she could look up my Macy's card! Went into the store about an after it opened, now I know why Macy's is going under, almost every display in the men's dept was messy. I guess a nice straight display doesn't mean anything. I rather shop on line for close than look at things all stacked up with out any order. I might as well go to the 99¢ store if I want messy. I do not come to this Macy's anymore. Some workers and most of management are rude! This store is always out of stock of pretty much everything. The manager for fragrance and beauty is a joke . She yells and puts down employees right in front of customers and fellow employees. If I shop at Macy's it's not the one in ghetto San Bernardino where it's pretty much like Walmart when you walk in there. Go to Victoria gardens or Tyler mall. read more
