I went in to Shoe Palace in hopes of finding a specific shoe my son was looking for. The shoe had been sold out online (on Shoe Palaces website and other retailers) and prices were getting jacked up by re-sellers. I didn't know for sure if the store would have the shoe I was looking for as they do not keep inventory on their website for storefronts. However, they had the shoe he really wanted. We were looking for some exercise shoes and one of our nephews recommended Shoe Palace. We were given a genuine greeting from a young man with a 49ers mask. Within 5 seconds a young lady named Kendall asked if we needed any help. We let her know what we were looking for and she gave us a few choices. We tried on a few different pairs and sizes. Once our choice was made Kendall rang us up and even offered up some shoe cleaner. Upon leaving the 49er mask young man thanked us for stopping by. Recently made a purchase as a gift for my daughter. To start, the customer service is friendly and accurate but the actual commodity was disappointing. I inquired about a shoe for my daughter and all that was left was the display version (not a big fan of displays and this one was an example why) I told the worker that the shoe was a little scruffy from being on display and recommended that I get a discount off the shoe. She didn't see this as a problem and agreed to ask her supervisor. She then comes back and says there was "magically" another shoe of the same size in the back. This seemed a little odd to me being that she was back there already and told me that was the last one. She then comes out with the box and immediately goes to the register. I proceeded with the purchase. When I get home I open the shoe and noticed that it was the same display shoe just cleaned up a little. The shoe had the same crease and the laces were dingy. This was very unprofessional and I immediately returned the shoe. Seems to me the supervisor was just trying to save the company a buck or two, sorry but 1 star on this location! read more

DONE!!!! I'm a guy that likes nice things bkz I work hard for my money. Well, I will never come here to this location or any other. 3rd time here and I figure it'll be a cool turn around. Well, unfortunately I was wrong for the 3rd time. Customer service sucks beyond retraining levels. Every single time I come it seems like none of the workers want to actually work. They look miserable and seem to not like their job. They really carry that non approachable don't want to be courtesy zero enthusiastic personality. My wife and I just left this location and we are beyond over ever spending our hard working money here at this location. And we are convinced all their locations must operate the same. With our visit we wanted to return a pair of Jordan's and while we were here I wanted to buy several pairs of Air Force 1's. Well unfortunately like the last 2 visits workers look like they can't leave their post (standing in the corner) bkz what ever they were talking about was worth more than my wife and I wanting to spend money there. Every time I come to this location they come through for me big time. Got the run around at a different shoe store, called here and they were able to help me out. The associate went above and beyond to hold a shoe for me since I told her I was on my way. (not sure what her name was but she had braids). Quickly greeted myself and my mother, helped us out and we were on our way. With the store being full of people, she was attentive and it was greatly appreciated. read more

I have called for a few different shoe releases and the employees who answer say they have no idea what I'm talking about. I even give them the release date and the exact name of the shoe. I don't know if it's just me, but employees should be knowledgeable about what is in the store they are for working for. I understand it's "just a job" and they want their employee discounts, but this is just ridiculous! These employees should be trained on shoes (at least new releases as there are MANY sneakerheads), trained on how to answer the phone, and trained to help people. I mean customer service is a big part of working with the public. I've even gone in to the store and employees are just talking to one another not helping customers. They care more about socializing with each other about their personal lives than they do making a sale for the company. read more

I have never had such a horrible experience shopping at this mall until today. To start it took 30 minutes to get helped and when I had a question there wasn't a single person available in the entire store. The worst part of this experience was as we were being rung up the very rude cashier did not acknowledge us at all because she was on her cell phone having a conversation and we were apparently inconveniencing her she sucked at customer service and never even said hello she just threw our stuff in a bag and didn't even say anything. Staff is very helpful and friendly unlike other stores. I kept asking for different sizes ( my daughter is picky and is always between sizes) They were very patient with me even though they're all young lol trust me I've been to other stores where I get attitude just for walking in. I have a love hate relationship with this place.First,great environment,cool,hip music,love the way the store is setup.Also has 85% of the newest and classic shoes,which some are tough to find in San Bernardino,and sometimes the internet.One time, I went though,I asked for a pair of Nike's in my size,the employee said yeah,went back to check and didn't come back haha.He forgot about me!Also,they have a promo,where if you see the shoe you want,but they do not have the size,they'll order it for you.Well,this backfired on me.I went in to buy a pair of Adidas,and they did not have my size.So I ordered a pair.They told me that they will call me,in about a week.I waited a week and half,and no call.So I called them,and they told me that they hadn't got them.I was fine with it,as I also work part time retail and know how some shipments can be delayed.I waited another week,so I called again.They said they hadn't gotten them.I ended up waiting a month.I called again,and they still did not have them.That same day, I went to the mall with my girlfriend,and just thought that I'd walk in.I asked for my size in the same pair of Adidas,and bam,they have them.I was never notified.This kind of shocked me ha.But hey,accidents happen I guess.This place is ok,not too bad,not too good. read more
