I always love coming to Macys especially when there is an event happening at Union Square. The bottom floor has a food court that you can get food. I shop here when I am in town. From purses to clothing to kids clothes. I also been to Cheesecake Factory that is next door to them. I am glad this Macy's is still open and hope it stays that way.

Heart inside Macy's. I took him shopping.

I got two dog jackets for my fur baby at Macy's a few years ago. I'm planning on getting him another one this year. They were surprisingly sturdy even through multiple (hand) washes. Very appreciative that Macy's is still here on Union Square. Though I don't shop as much as I used to, it's still very lovely to come by a real store to browse, buy and enjoy some drinks/snacks. Located on Union Square.

I need small, medium sizes

Macy's in San Francisco is one of the last stores in downtown San Francisco where you can buy moderately priced clothes. Also, even though this store is older they have great prices, a wide selection of cosmetics and perfume and a couple of places to eat in the store. Boudin sourdough has delicious soup and sandwichs made with Boudin sourdough bread. Great shoes for men and women and a few floors of designer brands in contemporary styles. I'm happy I shopped here. I also ate some good food.

The Macy's Union Square store is one of the retailer's largest and oldest locations, long the flagship of Macy's California, and then Macy's West. Its convenient location used to attract tons of locals and tourists across the country and the world. Apparently the facilities are old and need some maintenance, such as the loud noisy escalators and elevators. It's sad to see the traffic has been declined and not as popular as it used to be. I really hope this iconic store can survive in SF.

Why aren't any Macy's open for in store shopping? I quite missed this store and it isn't the same as online shopping.

It's open again

How is their plus size department?

They have large selection of plus sized women's clothing, didn't check men's dept

We enjoyed lunch on the top floor at the Cheesecake Factory and then had fun shopping afterwards.

One fellow had to depart for a break or the shift was over I can't remember which and he said goodbye after hypnotizing me with his skillful clothier ways. We were captive for better part of an hour on a day where plants and maybe a fun t-shirt were the only things on the agenda that couldn't be eaten. Plants in hand and t-shirt plan abandoned headed back to the vehicle on this side of Fillmore because the other side had already been traversed. And near Bush on that half block with old single-story SF historic shop buildings under small trees was 45R. Was it new? I hadn't noticed before or perhaps I wasn't paying attention because no, it had been there for almost a decade. And inside there weren't really the t-shirts I had originally thought I was interested in meeting but there were all these other tops and bottoms and quiet chill super helpful and engaging three then four shop people that wanted me to simply give them my wire transfer information so they could swap out all my savings for really cool clothing. I almost did! Though at the last minute elected to just procure a trousers and a t-shirt that wasn't even remotely what I had been considering but which also was actually perfect so there you go. Simply, you should just pop in. It doesn't matter your mood. If you're blue, your frown will turn upside down. If you're already having a good day, the rest will be better. If you've been cocktailing try really hard to not just volunteer access to all your accounts with an invitation to have at it. All their wares are high-quality, thoughtfully built, for everyday or special occasions, looks that maybe not everybody else is sporting. Worth a special trip and for sure a pop-in if you're traversing the shady side of Fillmore on a pleasant Sunday afternoon.

I was escorted to the dressing room which was the size of a small apartment. The employee (or possibly the owner) brought me several pieces to style the pants with and surprised me with how well everything fit my body (which is a challenge). She had a wonderful eye and explained the story behind many of the items I tried on. I was embarrassed to try on so many nice things without purchasing anything. I can't stop thinking about the drape of all the fabrics and how beautiful everything was. Hope to return and actually invest in one of this store's beautiful items.

They don't look as good as when I bought them... THEY LOOK BETTER. Worried it's pretentious? I've found it to be the friendliest, realest, most helpful, most easygoing brick-and-mortar shopping experience I've had in the Bay Area. I usually come in on my way home from the gym, wearing ratty athleisure, from brands they don't carry, and I've never caught an ounce of vibe. Most of the staff have been here for years; that says something too. Old-world ethos, old-school service. We're lucky that businesses like this one -- and the craftspeople whose goods they stock -- still exist. Wishing this fine enterprise many more years.

This review is for the online ordering process…read more I ordered 3 shirts yesterday and they came today. I live 60 miles away but good damn that was fast! I'm super excited to rep the t-shirts especially the prints from Jeremy Fish, the raddest illustrator around. Also, I want to say if you have any questions, UP responds very quickly about any sizing, garment questions. Very pleased with their response time and the information they have handy. Wrong items and taking far longer than promised with nobody reaching out to the customer (me). So I decided I'll stop by when the SF store is open and grab stuff myself. Now I am sitting on your doorstep at your store that was supposed to open 1 hour ago. Not a soul here. Amazon almost gave me a package for you but changed their mind at the last minute. Other customers are asking me if you are going to be open today. I am a long time customer. Great products. Your customer service is shit. I love the style upper playground provides. But I can't rep you bc you won't deliver the correct product promptly or hire employees that, seemingly, can't roll out of bed. Disappointed. You've lost my business.
