I had t been to a Macy's in awhile, I think a few months but whoa . It already looks so different! They've really changed the store around. Big surprise was to see a Toy R us inside. Uff my childhood!!! We went in for an online return and received great service!

This is a very nice Macy's. It has lots of inventory and it's bright & clean. The staff is pleasant and efficient. Got a wallet and shoes for Husband & new bathing top for me. All were on sale, and 2 out of 3 were eligible for friends and family 30% off discount!

Heartbreaking. I grew up in this area and spent hours, years shopping at this store when it was "The Broadway" It used to be a glorious place. Then Macys came in. This store used to be manicured, decorated, and clean. Now it's overstuffed and gloomy. Walked in today and thought OMG! What happened??? It was like walking into a Twilight Zone episode. The floor was weathered and very dirty. Unkempt. I wanted to try shoes on but guess what? There were no sales associates assisting customers. And good luck finding a register to pay for your items. The sales associates dress inappropriately. Not a good image at all, just mess upon messes. For sure the glass display cases haven't been replaced looked like maybe for... 30 or more years? Is it about to go belly up? It was ghostly. I did find plenty to buy and the sales were great. I dunno, just wish somebody would take the time to polish this old gem back up to life. Brick and mortar malls all seem to be going downhill quick.

I was shopping with my mother when a woman by the name of Rosa a fairly old woman told me I had to leave the woman's changing room (there's no sign that says woman's it just says "Fitting Room"). She said it was the woman's fitting room and I wasn't allowed to be in there. I am a transgender woman and this is something that has really impacted me and making me feel invalid. After I explained my mom was trying something on she still said I had to leave. Macy's please put your workers through better training. I'm not asking for special treatment because I'm a transgender woman but rather treat me like any other woman. She also said it in a extremely rude tone which made my overall experience here horrible. I will be no longer shopping with Macy's. If I could give this a 0 star, I would.

The woman in housewares got mad, because I did not want to buy a coffee maker she was forcing me to purchase. Then as I walked away she made some comments about me to the others. Not shopping there ever again. read more

I try to avoid this Macy's as much as possible but from time to time I still shop here because it's the only decent department store at the Pacific View Mall. I actually just recently made a shopping trip here because I needed to buy a pair of dress pants and pumps. Sales associates don't even acknowledge you when you walk by them. They are so lifeless and rude when you're buying your items. I mean, I understand working at Macy's isn't exactly the thrill of a life time but at least make your customer's shopping experience a bit more pleasant. After trying on some slacks in their dumpy and horrendously lit fitting rooms, I proceeded downstairs towards the women's shoe department where I waited 10 mins before I even was greeted or assisted. One last thing, MAC cosmetics is one of my favorite make-up lines and the women that work at this MAC look so uninspiring that if I was a first timer at MAC I wouldn't even want to purchase anything from them. Your job is to sell product, at least do the product and the company you are working for some justice. Overall, a really poor Macy's. read more

The short version - terrible customer service, but clean and organized. If it were not clean i would have given 1 star. I visited today to buy a wedding present. The merchandise was organized well and the store was clean but I wasnt here to browse, I had a mission. So, i wandered around and could not find a sign to tell me where the home department was. I figured if I kept wandering I would quickly find an employee or sign to point me in the right direction. Wrong. The only employees I could find were busy except for a rude group of gossiping women in the jewelry area. As I walked up to them the one with her back facing me turned around and gave me the least inviting sneer. So I kept wandering until I was no longer in macys. I took the mall escalator up to the next floor and re-entered, hoping for a better experience upstairs. No employees to be found, but I did find a sign... so I followed it upstairs to the home department. The employee was at the top of the escalator but did not greet me, not even a glance. I was worried that she did not infact work here, but after I passed her she walked behind the counter. I turned around and asked for assistance to find the registry and she pointed me in the direction but did not offer help finding any items. Luckily I have worked retail and figured it out on my own. This was the least enjoyable trip I have taken to a mall, ever. I just walked around feeling like an alien! I'm sure there are plenty of good employees here but a couple bad seeds can really ruin an experience. I think management needs to step it up at this location. read more

Bought online from Macy's during Black Friday and cyber Monday. They over charged my account multiple times then would credit me money back and charge my account AGAIN. Horrible experience never will be shopping in store or online again. I'm pissed it's holiday season and they messed with my bank account I got charged over draft fees and everything. Customer service lady could give less of a shit "that's just the way our system works" while every other place knows how to charge correctly. I'm pissed. All in all I'd give this place 0 stars if I could.. read more

I've had it with the employee Richard the older gentleman who works in the men's department. He is honestly so rude and unprofessional. This incident has happened twice. It's absolutely ridiculous. If he hates working customer service that is no place for him. read more

I guess managers for Macy's don't have to follow California laws. Got a watch for Christmas. At the that time a wore the watch in the shower. The watch is 300.00 dollars and it was water proof. Went to return it cause it leaked they said I had to return it myself. I show them the Ca code saying they had to. After showing them it proofed to me how dumb they are. Ca code 1793.02 read more

MAC cosmetics is one of my favorite make-up lines and the women that work at this MAC look so uninspiring that if I was a first timer at MAC I wouldn't even want to purchase anything from them. Your job is to sell product, at least do the product and the company you are working for some justice. Overall, a really poor Macy's. read more

before this macys was rennovated it was heinous, terrible selection and the service was even worse, after the remodel they added some far nicer merchandise and the customer service was totally revived too, it became a great local place to shop, alas no more commutes to the beverly center...tonight tho, my experience smacked of days gone by...the selection was cool but Dana in menswear looked at me like i was gonna jack her for her steve maddens or something, i just needed to pay for my pants...she rang me up, i paid in cash and she practically threw my change at me, coins falling all over the counter and floor, at the next register a gent was checking out a young couple he was soo nice, thanked them for coming in and told them about the 20% off on everything all day and even offered them a credit card, she didnt breathe a word to me all, no discount, no card offer, no thank you, no counting my change back, NOTHING...shame..i expected better read more

There is just one lady running both spaces so you have to ask to see the costumes, but when my friend and I visited earlier this week it was a quiet afternoon and she quickly offered to show us that room if we wanted. We did and the costume outfits are gorgeous. I thought the things in the store were a little on the pricey side, but my friend has shopped here numerous times and said the store owner has always given her really good deals on stuff. She told me she'd gotten a corset here that she figured would be at least $40 and the woman sold it to her for $15 or $20 instead. I found all the clothes to be in really beautiful condition and thought that if you wanted to put together a really lovely and quality outfit, this is where you could go for a vintage look.

Today I got a cute long sleeve piece for under $70. The owner Elizabeth is very nice and helpful. I also appreciate that we could look around at our leisure. She told us about her second store on state st in SB so we'll definitely be checking them out. Prices are average but you get what you pay for and I've always felt that the materials are soft and nice quality. Very glad the harbor has this little gem of a clothing store to help balance out all of the more touristy stores.

A huge array of beautiful fruits, veggies, and flowers. Also vendors who sell dried foods like beans, rice, and dried chiles. We went during COVID and everyone was masked. It gets a little hot, so early is probably better than later.

A Top-Notch Experience Thanks to Polo at Macy's Ventura! We recently had an absolutely outstanding experience at Macy's Ventura, all thanks to an incredible associate named Polo. What started as a confusing pillow-shopping trip quickly turned into a masterclass in customer service and product knowledge. My wife and I were adrift in the bedding department, overwhelmed by choices between down and down alternative, pricing, and all the intricacies of pillow selection. It was then that Polo, along with several other managers, approached us. Though we're fairly certain he wasn't from the linen department, Polo proved to be an astonishing wealth of information. He answered every question, enlightened us with product details, and basically functioned as a walking Consumer Reports editor for pillows! We confidently purchased his recommendation. A minor hiccup occurred when the firm pillow, while excellent quality, proved too firm for my wife's sensitive neck. We returned to exchange it for a softer option. At checkout, we encountered a price mismatch on a Hotel Collection Down Pillow we decided on - the advertised price was incorrect and lower than what rang up. Without hesitation, the cashier called for assistance, and to our delight, Polo appeared! He immediately recognized us and, without a moment's pause, honored the lower, mismarked price. This kind of "old-school" retail excellence is exactly what makes us loyal Macy's shoppers. We've had fine furniture from Macy's (including Henredon headboards from the old Seattle store's furniture floor) that has lasted for years, and it's clear that quality, caring individuals like Polo are what truly elevate the Macy's brand. Omg I will definitely be recommending this location to all my friends and associates at the office when I get back to work on Monday. Tonight my friend Jessie Castillo recommended that I should go to Macy's in Ventura for the best facial beauty products and I totally appreciate his suggestion. I like shopping here. They have a large variety of purses which I like. What I don't like is after I bought a few pair of pants and put them on, they were irregular!!!!! Once a few steps are taken you can see the seam turns in, the seam did that crooked thing! GRRRRRRRR!!!!! Is it because I bought them on sale at a great price?????? Did they/do they know they are irregular, hence the huge sale price?????? Of course you can go return/ exchange them which I didn't get around to doing, but can they guarantee a straight regular seam? Hhhmmmm I bought a keurig in November and it's already not working. It works right when it wants to. Going to see if they'll exchange it for me. Overall I like shopping there and will continue to do so. read more

Today I was in the Pacific View Mall in Ventura California located off Main Street and Mills RD. I decided that my husband had so wonderful during Christmas I wanted to surprise him with a great present from my heart. I am pretty disappointed, especially in the Clinique department. Been shopping here for years, which is where I get all my make up, facial cleansers, lotion, and perfume. This last year they are always out of my products I usually buy. Got sick of wasting my time and gas going in just to be disappointed again and again they never have my products. Always telling me shipments will be coming in soon. Yet when is soon? Three months? Four months? I started calling in every week to see and yet still disappointed. They are "waiting for shipment".
