What I received as a "substitute" in place of my original purchased order.
    Mary F.

Online buyers Beware!!! I purchased a men's Tissot Classic Black Leather Band watch online, It was exactly the kind of Swiss watch I was hoping to find and purchase to gift my son for Christmas. There were no online complications and Macys in West Covina had the watch In Stock so I chose to pick up purchase at that location. I love uncomplicated online shopping. Who doesn't right?! The following day, my purchase order was ready for pick up. Off I went. Once I arrived inside Macys, it was pretty easy to find where I needed to go. I stood in line for a solid 20 minutes. An associate came over to the line and asked me for my order info. She went to retrieve my order, she came back, she scanned the barcode I received via email for my purchase, she handed me my Macys bag and that was it...Pretty easy! I thanked her and headed out of the store back to my car. I was about to reverse out of parking spot and I thought, "wait a sec..I want to see the watch." I got the case out of the bag and opened it.. it was clearly NOT the watch I ordered and purchased online. The watch I was given was blue, scratched, used, dirty, it wasn't even strapped onto the watch cushion. I walked back into Macys, frustrated and went directly back to the same associate that handed me my order. She took me to the counter and she looked up my purchase order. Her response verbatim, "Oh yeah. I see what happened. It looks like the watch you ordered became out of stock so they picked another watch that was closest to the one you originally purchased." My jaw dropped. I had to ask her to repeat what she had said. I then asked her if I was in a supermarket??? I was so confused. I immediately asked for a supervisor or manager. In no time, 3 employees were trying to solve the problem. I showed them the exact expensive watch I purchased online..it did not take them 2 seconds to see the difference between the two. Ultimately, they offered me the opportunity to take the used Tissot watch an employee picked out in place of the original purchase and drive to a Macys in Orange County or Santa Anita and swap out watch for correct one. I requested they call Santa Anita Macys to confirm and make arrangements with an actual supervisor in their jewelry department before I drove there. They did. And, they handed me a $25 Macys "gift card" as an apology. Ultimately, I drove straight to Macys in Santa Anita and ended up canceling purchase all together. Waist of my gas, energy and time! Thank you Macys! Bottom line, If you are purchasing online and picking up from this location, DO NOT BLINDLY TRUST that you are being handed the exact item you purchased online.

I love Macy's Department stores, their merchandise and products are high quality and a good price for what I receive. They do have sales on a regular basis, especially on holidays. This location has two levels. I have purchased something in every department. The First Floor has women's clothing, shoes, purses, jewelry, perfume, and makeup. The Second Floor has men's clothing, children's clothing, linen, towels, blankets, pillows and small kitchen appliances. They do offer a personal assistant (Celebration Consultant) to guide brides looking to choose dinnerware and household goods for their online bridal registry. Brides earn points with purchases made. A separate registry is available for babies, an assistant is available, if needed. Registrants receive a Welcome Gift Box. I always receive top-notch service from the sales associates. They are able to look up my account and apply any coupons or reward points to discount my purchase. One day, I saw some shoes that I wanted, but they didn't have my size in stock. Without a blink of an eye, the associate said she would order them and have them shipped to my home at no additional charge. In all the years I have shopped here, it was the first time this was offered. I was very happy!! Sincerely, Rosemary

So here's my story, I purchased a 100 gift card from CVS for macys. Six days after purchasing it , it was emptied out by scammers. First customer service representative from Macys told me they would replace it after seeing it was done in a completely different state. A month later macys emailed me saying an investigation was done and would not refund me after all! So consumers don't buy Macys gift cards because they won't take care of you if defrauded! Even if it was totally obvious!! NO TO MACYS!!!

Suit bag with my jacket, trousers, shirt, belt and tie inside.

I thought I would check out the Men's Department for my suit, and what do you know, it was right there on display with the exact size and color. 44 regular jacket, and 34/32 trousers. The good thing is, it's 50% off coz of Fathers Day plus 1% off with coupons. So I only spent $422+ total including belt, shirt and tie. Color of my suit is "gun metal" I really was getting desperate to go to Men's Wearhouse" The sales lady, Addrianne was so helpful and friendly. She explained to us how to get the coupon discount over the 50% discount. The store was not too crowded but the West Covina Mall had a lot of people looking for a good bargain. I saw a lot of 50% sales everywhere. I forgot to get dress socks, guess I'm going back. And I might as well get wallet, handkerchief, clips and dress shoes, lol!

Poor quality instructions, can't read the very fine print. What I can read is free returns, but a charge of $10 is coming up.

Second time I've had to return something and they force you to come into the store or pay $10 for shipping. Macys isn't what it used to be, brought in a return and they can't figure out how to return it, even with the barcode they send you. I think I'll shop elsewhere, returns are usually free. Their receipt says so, but when you initiate the return online a charge of $10 comes up. No thanks!

This woman was extremely rude when I asked her a question and refused to help even tho she was not doing any thing or helping anyone
    Tien K.

The service in the jewelry dept sucks where it's not even funny. There were no customers there and yet nobody would help me. The women who "work" there wouldn't help me. All they did was just walk back and forth opening and closing their little half doors doing nothing except chit chatting with each other. Nobody asked me if I needed help and when I asked someone for help she was extremely rude and wouldn't even look at me. I was planning on spending thousands of dollars here but not anymore. I guess they are hot stuff now that they are making 20 bucks an hour. I hope this store closes down. I attached a picture of the rude broad. This is what happens when you pay them too much. They don't care about the sore

The only reason to stop here for now

You are confusing your customer about your sale. You just want people to go to your store.

It's all set up nicely from brand to brand. The staff are attentive and acknowledge you the moment you walk in. The pricing is all pretty accurate and adequate. For example, sneaker pricing is close to the same from the brand sites or other stores. I find myself browsing the whole store and have purchased items over all my visits for myself and during Christmas. They carry name brand street wear and all major Sneaker brands. They also have camping gear and other supplies from brands like Yeti. I don't take too many pictures each visit because I'm too busy shopping. They sell apparel collections of Nike, Jordan, Adidas, New Balance, ASICS to name a few. The apparel ranges from Nike, Nike ACG, Jordan, Patagonia, Carhartt, Stussy, North Face and many others. This is a gem to the city of Covina! If there's some sneakers you want, they might have it. Great store! ( ^_^)b

They're bringing a wide range of street wear and other brands you would normally see closer to LA and other major cities. Brands like Porter Yoshida (Japanese bag brand), Stussy, Museum of Peace & Quiet, Nike ACG, Snowpeak, Air Jordan, Patagonia, North Face, Unbranded Denim (Selvedge company related to Naked & Famous), the list goes on. They have good selection of items that are regular price and a sale rack for clearance items. I was first introduced to this store through sneaker raffles for their limited drops on retro Jordans, Nike SB and Kobe's. However this store does way more, they're constantly updating the setup, they have in-person activations, and the workers seem to have a genuine care about the customers and community they serve. The workers are very attentive in-store, every time I walk in I'm greeted and they're good about making sure you are helped without hovering over you. Their customer service is on point, they're friendly and get to know you without trying to oversell you for commission. I've been able to meet a couple of their employees such as Daniel (also works at sister company Shop At Kings Montclair) and Matt who I've run into outside of Homebred and is friendly to say hello. I am hoping they re-release the Homebred fitted cap with the city of Covina patch on the side hit!
