Not only did Mr. John preformed a free vehicle diagnostic letting us understand what was needed to be repaired and give us fair price, but Mr. John also was kind enough to provide my elderly mother with transportation from the repair shop to her home and picked her up again from home when the truck was ready at the repair shop, It is so wonderful to know that there are still people people who practice Christian values. He received a payment of almost $10,000 to install a motor and never completed the work. He had the vehicle for 6-8 months. When my vehicle was transported from DJ's to another shop my car was in pieces, literally in buckets. It was labeled a "basket case". For a better idea of the situation go to the BBB website and see his reply to my review. I finally had my vehicle transported elsewhere. No client would move their vehicle in pieces unless there was no other option. I cannot force anyone to do their job of they do not want to. Dave was no longer concerned about having a satisfied customer. There was no incentive to complete the work once he received payment. A professional knows when to decline a job he cannot complete in a timely manner. He had plenty of opportunity to express his lack of time. He is very unprofessional to say the least. He claims I accepted his terms when I left my vehicle in his facility. No Dave, you never provided a "repair line up" as you're claiming to do so now. When asked when the vehicle may be ready, he would never provided an exact finish date. He would mention a specific month and then push it back another month. He had numerous excuses from illness to car parts being delayed because of tax tariffs due to the new president. It was ridiculous. There was no mention of said "repair line up" when his tow truck picked up my vehicle from my home, or when he spoke to my insurance, nor when I stopped by in person multiple times. That is just another excuse he used to justify his incompetence and lack of professionalism. Had he addressed me as he did on his reply to my BBB review, I would never have taken my vehicle to him. He was nice and courteous in the beginning, when it benefited him. Once I started asking questions and inquiring about a completion date his demeanor changed. He was no longer courteous. I was polite and courteous even when he was not. Keeping funds for a job he did not complete is dishonest. That's not the kind of person that should be trusted with your vehicle or your money.

We were lucky because we took the car to Sam's Club Tire Center, they were able to diagnose the problem but couldn't do the repair. They referred me to MAC Automotive. Aaron - the owner was wonderful. He understood we were trying to get back home safely & leave town that same morning. He sent one of his employees go pick up the part because that was faster than waiting for the auto parts delivery driver. It took only 30 minutes to get the part and then about 20 minutes to put them on. I was in and out of there in an hour and a half. And best part is I thought the bill was fair. If you need an auto shop in Midland this should be your no. 1 choice!!

The came and picked up my truck and had it fixed the next day, for half of what the Ford house wanted - and that included the towing. Next day service in the Permian Basin is unheard of these days. I was thoroughly pleased. I understand they have been in business for over 35 years. It's easy to see why. I highly recommend them.

But then, they identified several other issues - water main only 1/2 ON, leaking underground pipes, back yard valves with no covers (and one under a poured patio!) and some heads that weren't doing the job. They told me what problems I had, told me how much it would cost to make right (VERY reasonable) and set to work doing the work with no wasted time or effort. The work was done extremely well - on budget - and my front and back lawn sprinklers are now working as they should have when first installed. Fixed front and rear stations, leaking pipes, head replacements and construction of a new back yard valve and sprinkler location - five hours, $500 labor AND PARTS! VERY REASONABLE FOR THE WORK DONE AND DONE RGHT! I greatly respect Johnny and Billy for their integrity, work ethic, knowledge and professionalism. Need sprinkler repair or new construction? I told the Tech that the issue was probably the shocks on the tub according to the troubleshooting manufacturers page (Samsung) The reason I called this company was I am not physically able to move the washer or anything having weight. Service did not meet basic needs of service call. Only solution was to replace washer less that 2 years old with parts that were easily available. Not happy with service, and feel I was taken advantage of.

I called and spoke with Clayton, and he, along with his manager, went above and beyond to make this situation stress-free. They immediately arranged for a shop just outside of Houston to take care of everything and covered the cost directly. They were not only professional but genuinely kind about it. This level of service is rare these days and speaks volumes about how they treat their customers. Later that afternoon, we were informed it would be an additional $180 just to check the code--on top of whatever the actual repair would cost. Hesitantly, we agreed. We got a call later saying our vehicle was ready. When we asked what the issue was, we were told it was just a "loose connection" and that they reset the check engine light. That's it. Fast forward two weeks--our car won't start. After doing some investigation, we discovered that the wrong size battery had been installed previously, which is what triggered the check engine light in the first place. So essentially, this shop charged us $180 to reset a light and completely missed the real issue. No real diagnostics were done. Save yourself the frustration. We took our car to Meineke on W Loop 250, where they properly diagnosed the issue without charging us $180 for doing absolutely nothing.

They diagnosed it, put it up on the raisers and showed her exactly where the issue was... it was a little costly on a fixed income but the work comes with 50,000 mile or 5 year warranty so she figured what does she have to lose.... Well she was more than happy with the customer service and her car was completed in a day! Most places here in Midland would have your car for 2 to 3 weeks MINIMUM! They said it would be done in a day and it was. She literally cannot say enough good things about Danny's Automotive, she says THANKS to Mark, Arthur and the girls! Customer for life!!!
