Seems like I am kinda making this a tradition when in town. But kinda feeling like this place is awesome. Went again last night and from the minute we walked in and were greeted by the workers it made you feel welcome. Mad Greens is a great option for a healthy, fast casual spot. I'm visiting the area and had been eating like crap for 3 days and decided to seek out something healthy. Mad Greens didn't disappoint. I had the Siam I Am salad, which was an asian-inspired vegan option with a tofu protein - it was tasty. I wish they had a few more protein options - almost all of the salads and bowls feature chicken. I also wish the bowls were $1-2 cheaper in price. It is a tough swallow paying nearly $12 for a small salad. This location had extremely friendly staff and quick service. Would recommend! read more

This place has failed county inspection multiple times recently. That explains why when I recently ordered a salad that came back with wilted leaves and brown edges. It also included an order of macaroni and cheese, which I never ordered. The inspection results were related to lack of sanitary conditions and food handling. read more

Absolutely delicious! Was really craving a salad, and I'm so glad we gave this place a shot. Their menu offers huge variety of options, and you can customize everything! Went with the Create Your Own Salad, so it took me a minute to decide on what I wanted because there are so many good choices. My salad included Mixed Greens, Romaine, Kale, grilled chicken, edamame, roasted peppers, feta with a side of Caesar and Pita. The ingredients were very fresh, crispy, and flavorful. I truly have not had a better salad in my life. The feta was creamy and light, the peppers gave a really good kick of flavor. And the dressing was VERY creamy. Glad I got it on the side to dip. The side of pita comes with two slices and it's a good addition to when you're craving something warm with your salad. Hubby went with the Chipotle Caesar Wrap and that was a blast of flavor. The portions were more than fair. With a regular salad, I had plenty of leftovers. The wrap was packed with as much as the could fit. We would gladly eat here any day of the week! read more

My favorite fast-casual lunch spot in Fort Collins. The Vibrant Venus is crave-worthy - fresh greens, strawberries, candied nuts, goat cheese and balsamic dressing. Their salads are very customizable so I always get it without chicken. If you've had strawberry pretzel salad (the southern potluck dish that doesn't even vaguely resemble a "salad") the flavor profile is a bit like that. I'm sure there is enough sugar in the nuts and strawberries that the salad isn't as healthy as I'd like to think, but it's delicious and feels like a much better option than the other quick lunch choices in town. read more

I ordered the Athena salad for pickup, and when I got home (10 minute drive), I opened the case to see nearly half of the salad was very browned and sad looking. I also had multiple chunks of the lettuce stem that is cut off and usually disposed of, not served to customers. The salad seemed to have been sitting there for a long time before I purchased it. I was excited to give this place a try, and hopefully this is a one off issue and not a consistency. My first experience with a Mad Greens came yesterday afternoon. I had my reservations because nearly everyone I had talked to said something along the lines of, "It's good, but really expensive for what you get." Cheapskate that I am, things like that make me nervous, but my boss was paying, so I was all in. ;) First off, the location is great! Finally, a healthy option in the southeast part of Ft. Collins! The brand new building looks beautiful, and if you want a salad, but your compadres don't there is a Chipotle and a Spicy Pickle in the same structure. The staff working when I went in was very friendly and created a very welcoming environment. The menu is easy to read, and easy to understand, and the prices listed were much less than I expected from the rumors I had heard prior to coming in. Most of the salads seemed to be in the 4-7 dollars range (depending on size), sandwiches/paninis were in the 4-8 dollars range (depending on size), and combo meals were 7-10 dollars. A bit more expensive than fast food, but still not bad considering a pre-packed, iceberg lettuce salad at the grocery store is $5. I did see how you could "accidentally" get yourself a $13 salad though, especially if you "create your own". Meat adds on a couple bucks to each salad, and each "add-in" is 55 cents to a dollar. So, if you get a salad, plus meat, plus a few extra add-ins you could easily spend a LOT on a salad. But, hey sometimes you need to splurge. Just about everything you could ever think to put in or on a salad is here, and created right in front of you. As a nice touch they mix the salad for you in a big bowl, evenly disbursing all of the goodness throughout. I'll give Mad Greens a solid thumbs-up. Good tasting, fresh food. A friendly atmosphere and a good location. All signs point to me coming back here. Again, if you think you're going to walk out with a salad covered in anything and everything you want for $5 or less, you might be disappointed. But if paying $7-9 for a healthy meal is ok by you, definitely check them out. read more

I came to Mad Greens for the first time a few weeks ago to try out their salads. I think it is kind of neat that you can make your own salad or choose from some of the salads posted on the menu above. When I came in I looked up at the menu and was thinking about what I wanted to get. Something about how the staff looked at me, and the vibe they gave off, made me feel kind of rushed to make a choice a little faster. I was wearing my mask and before I got started the female asked me to pull my mask up. It came off super rude and made me realize how political this place is. It gave me a feel for the level of common sense the people have that are running/representing this restaurant. I then asked for the Ty Cobb salad, which I liked. Though, it could have used at least one extra ingredient in it. There are two types of chicken here. One is a the southwestern style chicken which has a spicy rub on it, which I recommend, the other is plain chicken, which tastes a little like canned chicken, and could use some herbs to flavor it a bit better. Posted on the ordering window is a list of dressings which they squirt into it after asking you how much dressing you'd like. I like the fact that you can see which of the dressings are gluten/lactose free and their calorie contents. After being irritated by the rude DMV-mannered staff up front I sat down to eat outside. One of the times I came here there was some restaurant items left out in the drink/table area which I didn't like to see. There are fountain drinks available, but you can't see them from the order area. You see them after you are done paying as you walk into the seating area. There are some gluten free snack deserts which are nice, but I can't have most of them because they either have gluten or milk in the ingredients. The price here is slightly above average, which I paid over $15 dollars for the salad and a Topo Chico water. Want to know how much of a rip off this is? The grocery store sells a refrigerated bottle of Topo Chico for .88 cents. Mad Greens sells the same refrigerated bottle for $2.85. Pretty scummy pricing, wouldn't you agree? The total here shouldn't be over $13 dollars for a large salad with a water. There is an app available to earn $10 off your order, which doesn't get you a free large salad. You'd still have to pay some. Overall, this place would have received another star, but the staff was rude and the experience in the restaurant was below average. Customers should not feel unwelcome. I suggest you clean up your store, lower your prices, make your reward earn a free large salad, leave your politics at home, and teach your staff that the customer's experience comes first. read more

I love places that pick a niche and just do it really well. It's why you should never order seafood at a steak place, or steak at a seafood place. If you want steak, go to a steakhouse! Love the crunchiness of the bacon and the crispness and freshness of the greens. If you haven't tried their Colorado green chili, it's a must!
