Enjoyed lunch on a beautiful day. Was recommended by a local who said they had $5 lunch specials. We didn't go for the $5 lunch specials, which is a good thing, because we didn't see any. :) Still, for it being close to 2 ski areas, it was still reasonable, in our opinion. They were doing steady business. Gentleman at counter was very efficient, helpful and friendly. Husband ordered Turkey Avocado panini w/fries, I ordered Tuna Melt special on sourdough w/onion rings and a glass of wine. Enjoyed eat-while-you-wait popcorn. Salty but good. Food was delivered pretty promptly, considering I only saw two ladies cooking. There was AMPLE tuna salad on my sandwich; in fact, probably could have backed it down a bit. Onion rings were good. Husband like his sandwich and ate most of his fries. Soups, salads and several other sandwiches looked very enticing, so will be back again. read more

Very pleased with our dining experience last night at the Mad Moose Cafe. It seems like they have new management and it really shows. Our server Dallas (who is also the manager) was kind, professional, and had a great smile. She made us delicious milkshakes (I had chocolate) and our food was just phenomenal (you must try the burgers!). Forgot to take pictures but everything was delicious and the service was amazing. Everyone was so warm, attentive, and genuine and we were always seated right away. I had the gyro for lunch with an italian soda and we ordered the "mad moose" for breakfast which was a cheddar biscuit with sausage, egg, bacon, an over easy egg, and potatoed with parmesan. The best part of your visit is a warm chocolate chip cookie to go with every order. read more

The staff at Mad Moose are always so nice, the coffee is great, it's only one of two places in Eden that you can order a glass of wine and they've recently added a platform(?) outside to make dining more comfortable and easier. My only complaint is that they are extremely overpriced. Even though they may give a more generous portion I do not agree that a sandwich and fries cost $16 and an additional charge if you change what you want on the sandwich As a local we only go there when we know we have time and have want a French dip sandwich read more

Excellent tasty food, the best coffee, super clean and cool atmosphere. The owner came and introduced himself and talked to us about the coffee and a quick history behind his "cup of victory." So maybe it was because we were tailgating a 23 person wait... but the food for me was just meh. The sandwiches and burgers were good, but the fries and onion rings were cold and I got flack from the male server when I asked for fry sauce (that never came). Also, the cookies were not even good enough for more than one bite. The manager did her best, and I felt bad about what she was trying to balance, but the experience was kind of crappy. We stopped in for lunch during a weekend drive. Our server, Cammy, was exceptional. She managed all of the patio tables on her own and found the time to check back often. I would not go here again. Pros: Friendly waitress Outdoor seating was clean Cons: One hour wait between ordering & getting food (6 meals) without notice or acknowledgement of the wait. Waitress was clueless about menu ingredients and was clearly guessing (we had people with allergies) Food was NOT prepared well, for example: sandwich bread was soggy (gross), cheeseburger was cold, had been done for probably 20 minutes prior. We were certainly disappointed and needed to get something else to eat that night. read more

I really enjoyed my meal today at the Mad Moose. I got a really great chicken sandwich on GF bread with a bunch is Sweet potato fries and a side of sauerkraut to boot! And they threw in a free cookie, which in my case was a GF no bake chocolate peanut butter oat cookie that was great. The staff was super friendly and helpful. And the place was really nice and very clean. I definitely recommend it! As an update, I went back a second time and with a 90% different staff the meal and experience were still as great as the first time. Amazing prices & the manager there is fabulous! The service was slow but they were hustling, which you have to respect. My boyfriend ordered a cup of coffee & it took so long that he considering cancelling it. My double ice cream cone was HUGE & an amazing value at $1.99. It's so big that they have to put it in a cuo bc it won't fit on the cone. The manager apologized about the wait for the coffee in actually gave it to us for free. So our total was literally a little over $2. I would definitely go back but just go in knowing that the service will be a little slow. But you have to love a place like this. read more

Got food to go, they totally messed up our order. Will never go back and we are locals in Eden

We work to support our local businesses and have been loyal customers of Mad Moose Cafe. However, we recently called in an order for two sandwiches and no other items. We were instructed to drive up in front and wait for our order and gave the employee a description of our car so they would see us when we arrived. The total came to over $27 before tip. Also, we were the only vehicle parked in front of the cafe and noticed that neither employee paid any attention to us or our car. After about 10 minutes of patiently waiting, we called them on the phone and then they brought our lukewarm food out to us. This experience has soured us on the Cafe which is sad for so many reasons including a lack of other options, years of supporting this place through good and bad times, and a price that is unreasonable for the quality of food and service. It is our hope that the Cafe owners will reconsider pricing and meeting the needs and desires of locals. read more

I could not be more angry about the bill I just got at Mad Moose. I will never go back. My husband, our two little kids, and I just spent SEVENTY-FIVE DOLLARS on dinner there, and not a single one of us thought our meal was very good. The kids meals (which are heinously priced) come with a drink, so I ordered strawberry lemonades for my kids, and one for myself. I got a California salad and added chicken for like $3 more. There wasn't enough dressing with the salad, the chicken it came with was a ridiculously tiny amount, and the avocado was nowhere near ripe. Neither of my kids liked their meal, (grilled cheese and corn dog) and only ate their French fries. Then our bill came, and I saw that they charged four dollars for each lemonade!! I told our server I thought they came with the kids meals, and she responded that the drink they come with is a juice box, and she assumed I wanted to pay for lemonades instead. By the way, it was powdered strawberry lemonade, and wayyy too concentrated. These prices are astronomical and completely taking advantage of people, and the server absolutely should have asked me before upgrading a 2-year old to a $4 drink. If you're charging extra to add chicken, put an actual serving size of chicken on there! read more

First visit to the Mad Moose this morning, very impressed! Coffee, refreshing. Food, delicious. Service, spectacular. I loved the white mocha coffee, the sausage croissant breakfast sandwich melted in my mouth and had delicious flavor. This restaurant is on the north west end of Pineview Reservoir. Near Wolf Creek Golf Course, it's the perfect place to hit before or after a round. A little breakfast before hitting the lake for some boating or post boating to replenish. Can't wait to come try out the lunch food, the panini' looked amazing! read more

The biscuits and gravy are phenomenal. Tender and flavorful biscuits, eggs, bacon and sausage all smothered with sausage filled perfect gravy. The French toast was delightfully crispy on the edges and butter soft in the middle. The syrup was flavorful and lifted the toast to the next level of culinary greatness. Great place for breakfast.
