Mad Moose cafe was easily my most favorite dining establishment in the Ogden Valley. My Mom, Sister, S-I-L, & I went there for lunch while we were vacationing in the area. The interior has a fast-food restaurant feel to it. But it was pretty clean. The Service was very good! Granted, our party was the only one dining-in... But the woman working there ran her tail off, making sure we were well taken care of! Two of us ordered the California turkey panini's. Another ordered the California salad. And another ordered the Moose club. The sandwiches all came with chips. Our orders didn't come out at the same time. But that was the only hiccup in our experience. Everyone enjoyed their lunch. The salad was huge! And the sandwiches were all perfectly portioned. The complimentary cookie @ the end was a sweet way to finish the meal. Mad Moose Cafe isn't without its foibles. But compared to the other dining options available nearby... Trust me, this is your best bet for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. read more

Went there last night with my two girls. I got the Pineview Burger and it really surprised me. It was flavorful and balanced with toppings. The pastrami was excellent, and the burger patty was seasoned well. The fries we're also good- but I'm a big fan of fries. They do have a beer and wine list, unfortunately the wine I would have liked was only sold by the bottle. It wasn't THAT kind of night, so I settled for a glass of my second choice. My older kid got the turkey avocado panini with the upgrade to sweet potato fries, and she cleaned her plate. They have a very limited kid's menu, but maybe my 9 year old is outgrowing kid's menus. She got the chicken tenders. They were decent, and came out piping hot. The service was great (thank you, Mercedes!) and they were very attentive and friendly. It was really nice to sit outdoors to eat in the fresh air, and we had zero wait at 7:00 on a Saturday night. I will definitely go there again when I'm in the area. It was in a very convenient spot with easy access. If I were asked for any recommendations for the restaurant, I would swap that green olive (while I LOVE all olives) our for a nice dill pickle spear. read more

For a great low priced lunch in the Ogden Valley, the Mad Moose is an excellent choice. They have a wide variety of panini, burgers, soup and salads. The owners are very friendly and there are a lot of original paintings by local artists on the walls which are for sale. It is an oasis in what is practically a desert of decent places to get a decent lunch around Eden. And, you get a free cookie with every meal! Four and a half stars. read more

Got a quick cup of coffee and a doughnut on my way out of town. The service was friendly and quick, and my glazed chocolate doughnut a great way to start the drive back to SLC. Options are pretty limited in Eden, but you really only need one good coffee shop / cafe, right? They also have menu of cafe style breakfast and lunch options - but I didn't have a chance to try any. The place looked clean and well run, and judging from the service I'd guess their food would be a-ok. read more

Consistent delicious food, service, and selection for a fair price! Eden, UT is not the mecca for culinary experiences by a long shot, but this place is an absolute gem! We ate here 3 days in a row while visiting Eden, and were delightfully impressed each time! They are a sandwich/burger shop, and they do it right! We had the pleasure of having Gabby take care of us while we were in town, and she's an absolute rockstar! Keeping doing what you're doing folks, the restaurant world needs more Mad Moose! This place is absolutely charming and serves an incredible sandwich. I had the turkey avocado and my husband had the club. They were of the best sandwiches we have ever had. We went there tonight, and the food was pretty good. I'd give it a solid 7.5. But.... there are maybe eight tables in the whole restaurant- we got there and one other table of three hadn't gotten their food yet, and we still waited 45 minutes for food. Yes, the people in the back looked like they were working, but I'm not sure what they were making, because it shouldn't take two cooks, and two servers helping, to make some burgers and fries. I liked the food enough to go back, but I never will because it took so long, and it seems like that's the norm. read more

Her eyes and tone indicated her view of us as customer #15, then the next would be customer #16, then #17, and so on. We were transactions to be processed on a busy Saturday afternoon, rather than welcomed guests. Good burgers. I had the pineview burger which had pastrami on it and it was great! My wife had a turkey avocado panini and she thought it was good as well. Food was hot. I got sweet potato fries as well and my wife got the side salad. Again the food was good. Service was also very friendly. I would come here again. This was the best breakfast we had while visiting Eden. My bf had the skiiers omelette while I had the breakfast sandwich on gluten-free bread! While not advertised, they do have gf bread - you just need to ask. They also give everyone a complimentary breakfast waffer (i.e. cookie) which my bf said was yummy. The service was attentive but not overly so. And the atmosphere was great. I loved the plants and fun facts on Theodore Roosevelt. I highly recommend this place. I only wish we found it sooner in our trip. read more

They advertise themselves as home of Rough Rider Coffee, and materials in the restaurant suggest that they hope to roast their own coffee someday. But these people are clueless about coffee. Honestly, no exaggeration, it took them 25 minutes to prepare a cup of coffee. There was a total of 5 guests in the restaurant but they did not have the brewing capacity to handle this "rush". And their cook could only handle one breakfast ticket at a time. 4 employees, 6 guests, and they can't get the job done. It's a shame since Eden residents have too few options as it is. read more

I wish the Valley had more options. Unfortunately, every now and then, I make the bad decision to suck it up, and pay through the nose for a lunch at Mad Moose. And every time I leave there, after paying my high bill, I feel taken advantage of! I know I made the bad choice to give them my business, and I know that they are going to charge me, and without any exception, full price for a kid's grilled cheese sandwich and small cup of soup, even though I don't want or get the fries that come with the kid's sandwich, or the kid's drink, or the icecream. I am charged for a full kids meal, and then an additional full charge for the soup. Because "we can't make any substitutions." This is not a community friendly establishment. They are only interested in making a huge profit. Otherwise, why would they charge so much to start with, and then charge even more, if you ask to have pesto sauce added to a sandwich? (a thin swipe of sauce across the bread) And Mad Moose, you can save your store bought cookies that you offer free along with your meal. The food here is good, and I come here often. It is perfect after a ride in the valley, a long day skiing, or just to enjoy sitting outside. However, the order rarely comes out right the first time and takes a while. Waiting 20 minutes for avocado toast and 25 minutes for a coffee on a Sunday morning makes me consider going somewhere else. read more
