#3 6 Jumbo Shrimp. Perfectly fried
    Monica W.

SO wanted a shrimp po'boy and recommended this new spot. Immediately greeted upon entrance and while reviewing the menu I expressed that I couldn't decide between the red beans and rice and green beans and a gentleman, maybe the owner, offered me a sample. The red beans and rice came out hot and tasted so fresh. The SO stole my sample cup. The SO ordered a shrimp po'boy (comes with six jumbo shrimp) with mac and cheese as his side and I decided on six jumbo shrimp with green beans and hush puppies as my sides. I'm not sure what was here before but the interior is clean and welcoming with lots of natural light. The young man who took our order was patient and read our order back to ensure it was accurate. I appreciated the multiple hot sauce options. Our order came out fresh and hot. We did take-away and everything traveled well. All the food was good. We both enjoyed that the meal didn't weigh us down, even though it was fried, and that everything tasted "clean". I did add Old Bay to my shrimp, seasoning salt to my green beans and a touch of honey to my hush puppies. SO devoured his meal with no doctoring. We will return to checkout some of their other offerings. You can also get your seafood grilled, which is a great option.

To be honest I'm not sure if the protein matters since there is so much happening in the bowls. You can tell everything is fresh, maybe the exception are fries are already cooked and not to order. Doesn't bother me since they still had good texture. Cool atmosphere and felt very inviting. Didn't try the green sauce but the red sauce is very mild. I much prefer this to other bowl spots and it's pretty convenient to get to. We'd want to try to cafe as well.

It was my first time at cafehive and I was impressed by the large selection of drinks and desserts on the menu. On this visit, I only tried their coffee, but I will definitely come back to try their desserts. I love the concept of the build your own desserts with the unlimited toppings! As for drinks- Tiramisu latte is the most popular and banana bread latte is one of the new ones and was recommended to me to try by the cashier. If you are deciding between the two, the tiramisu has the stronger coffee taste whereas the banana bread is sweet with a slight banana flavor. The only thing I will say is while the menu is beautiful the drinks don't really come out looking like how I expected based on what I have seen on Instagram with all the foam and toppings.. maybe an off day but the tiramisu latte I thought had mascarpone cold foam for example.

They go out of their way to make you happy and truly go above & beyond! Wait time is a bit of an issue but if you plan on that, then there are no surprises. They do make the food to order so a wait is to be expected but we have ordered for work luncheons a couple of times now and the most recent order was 30 minutes late. Yikes! Typically they arrive early but not this last time and the worst part was that no one called us to let us know and we could not reach them to find out if our order was coming or not. No bueno! One fumble is not enough to deter me yet as we have had all past positive experiences but it was very stressful nonetheless & I will plan differently moving forward for sure. I still say to definitely go and try them & support your local small biz! You will enjoy the food for sure and they make a KILLER fresh hot sauce-salsa kind of thing that is amazing if you like fire like I do, lol.

Most of this operation appears to be take-out. We placed a pickup order online and it was waiting for us by the time we showed up. We ordered two small chicken bowls and one "feast mode". The "feast mode" size was actually challenging for three people to finish! The "hive sauce" tastes like a honey mustard with maybe mayo? It's pretty good. I really wish Flavor Hive would have additional toppings - just cucumber tomato onion cilantro etc are quite minimal. Would be awesome if they could add something like beet salad or beans! The value at this place is excellent compared to the numerous other rice / slop bowl places in the area. It is a lot of food. This place went viral on social media for a reason, and it lives up to the hype.

Only one order (check #88) was provided at pickup. The second order (check #87) was never given to us, despite being paid for. When I called the phone number listed on both the paid receipt and from Google, I did not reach the restaurant. Instead, the call was answered by a male individual phone comes up from Vienna and did not appear to be affiliated with the restaurant staff on-site. This alone is unacceptable. The individual who answered was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Multiple witnesses overheard the conversation, which has been documented. We were not initially seeking a refund -- only verification of the missing order and whether it could still be picked up. There was zero effort to assist, no accountability, and no urgency to resolve the issue. This level of disorganization and lack of customer service is unacceptable for any restaurant. If Flavor Hive continues to operate this way -- including routing customer calls to unprofessional third parties -- it will absolutely damage the business and its reputation.

Marib is a Yemeni restaurant located in a strip of restaurants and grocery stores originating from different parts of the world. Marib knows how to do their lambs. I come here quite regularly and will keep on doing that. Umar approved. 4.5/5

This was my first experience at a Yemeni restaurant, and it turned out to be an incredibly pleasant and flavorful introduction. We were served half a lamb, head included, laid beautifully on a large platter of rice. But first, the restaurant itself. It was refreshing to see a place that uses real cutlery, proper plates, and actual tablecloths. I much prefer tables and chairs over booths, which often give off a fast-food chain vibe. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, though there was some drilling and repair work going on--likely related to safety or exit signage--so that's understandable. Now to the food. The rice was fluffy and deeply infused with flavor from the lamb, clearly absorbing the richness of the long, slow cooking process. The broth had rippled into the rice, creating an incredible depth of taste. If you've had biryani, this was somewhat similar, but with its own distinct character. The lamb itself was exceptionally tender--falling off the bone and melting in the mouth. For anyone who usually avoids lamb due to its strong aroma, this dish is a must-try; there was no overpowering "lamb smell" at all. The meal was accompanied by a fresh salad and two side sauces--one tomato-based and another green sauce that was extremely spicy, so proceed with caution. The mint lemonade deserves a special mention: easily the best I've had. Not overly sweet, clearly made from fresh ingredients, and perfectly balanced. We ended the meal with tea and a warm dessert that was buttery, comforting, and topped with cream--an excellent finale. This was a completely new culinary experience for me, and I left the restaurant feeling like my palate had leveled up. Highly recommended--definitely a place worth checking out
