Terracina Post Acute is the best facility in Redlands and very soon it will be the facility of "Fist Choice" not only City wide but state wide as well. The management together with all the department heads are working extra hard in making the facility into a 5 star rating. I always believed that every facility has the-same operating procedures for all are under strict and must adhere to all regulations set by DOH. The only matter that will differentiate one from the other are the following which this facility has; Management - making sure the team is high spirited all the time. Nursing - making sure ADL's for residents are on its highest standards. Non-Nursing - making sure the facility, residents and other matters are met again meeting the highest standards. I was first employed with this facility middle of 2018 and left middle of 2019. I came back March of this year and considered myself as Terracina's "Prodigal Son". Im very grateful to this facility for giving me the chance to work again and be a part of an awesome team. I was assigned and trained with various departments and currently working as the lead person for central supply. It was a tough assignment and comes with big responsibilities. The first few months were really a struggle but the management wanted me to succeed and they generously gave me all the help and assistance needed in performing my daily tasks. Again Im so thankful to the management for the opportunity and for the trust and confidence to be a part of an outstanding team. To my partner Ms Ashley thank you for all the hard work and in making our goals, mission and objectives done and complied on a daily basis. Its teamwork that makes it possible. Seems no one wants to do their job, the nurses don't care about anyone but collecting that pay check. My loved one was miss treated on all levels. The directors and managers lie about everything. Nurse Hanna is not nice... making faces when we asked if she could clean up the patient. She stood there and stared at us and the patient for a while... like she was holding her tounge from being rude. This place is sad... we went out to the hall to talk to her and other staff to voice concerns and they were talking about us and got caught. Within 3 days our family members skin was soo dry and cracked. Soo sad. Also they gave our family member nutrition thru the machine... and it wasn't even on. Neglect? Not enough staff here.. atleast not the area where the patients are on on trachs. read more

My sister has been living at this facility since 2016 and I have had many experiences through this time. One that has been consistent is my sisters CNA Patty that has been sent I believe from heaven to help care my sister with a genuine heart... she has been a very big part of her years there. She has displayed compassion and treats my sister as if she was carrying for her own family! Her hygiene is guaranteed to be taken care of when Patty is assigned to her and she helps other fellow CNA's understand the care that is required for my sister. I am grateful for her excellence to be a diligent, compassionate nurse that has been a huge asset of my sister living in this facility. Our family is grateful also for Hazel with social services. She goes beyond to make sure Anitra's needs are met and stays in communication with the family so we understand what is going on with our loved one. She is very punctual about returning calls and shows empathy for what my sister requires. I have watched this facility raise the bar overall with their care as a skilled nursing home in the last year and they are doing amazing upgrades inside and out. read more

My grandfather was brought here from Kaiser hospital in fontana. . He was in the area where he was supposed to be rehabilitated because he was getting significantly better... 2 days after he couldn't move anymore, he was nonresponsive and the nurses said it was normal and that he's not getting better and they talked my mother into signing a DNR. . . Really? So the doctor who said was getting better said he made a mistake and that my grandfather was not going to make it blah blah. Every time we went to visit my grandfather, his head was always laid in an uncomfortable form, it was always hot they didn't have a fan in his room , the curtains were closed, the room was quiet and boring. We turned on the TV we have to put some radio music... like does any one know what to do with elderly patients anymore? This is the worst place you can ever put your loved ones my father passed away almost 2 weeks now and I cannot get anyone to call me back to let me know what I need to do to recover his belongings. When I go to Terracina Post Accute they say social service has them but social services is always closed this place is absolutely filthy and you are very very lucky if you get someone to answer the phone, when you call. I highly recommend this facility. I did a lot of research before deciding where to place my loved one where I knew she would receive the best therapy and care so she could quickly improve. Several physicians I know recommended this place and I'm so glad they did. Let's face it, no one wants to have to go to a rehab facility, but if we have to help decide for our loved ones, it better be a great place. The most important thing to me is the staff not only seems incredibly competent (which I can't say about other places I've been), but they also seem to genuinely care and that means so much to me because I can't always be there. I am always kept updated and my loved one is making great progress. I feel like being in a place where she feels that she is cared about is really helping her improve quicker. The staff also always goes out of their way to make sure I am comfortable when I am there (and I am not even the patient)! This is a great place. read more

I sincerely appreciate all the helpful staff whom do the best they can in taking care of all the pts/residents in this large facility. Although Terrracina is in a very nice neighborhood, I wish this skilled nursing facility gets a wonderful new makeover that can bring even more smiles to everyone working & getting care here. Just like everything in life there are good and bad attributes. However if you are looking for a good attribute about this place you will be looking here for a while. I have experience as a fireman paramedic, Due to injury in both legs I have been here for about a week. I only know of five staff members who act professional by not cusing up patients both behind the patients back and to their face as well as up and down the hallway. The pharmacy they use was supposed to get my new meds here in four hours. It took three almost four days. Look out for staff like Emani, CNA and Sonya, LVN the LVN yells at me and Emani the CNA called me stupid and always exclaims Jesus!!!! When I ask her to relay a question or grab me a supervisor. They come into my room promise to come back and rarely do. Consider anywhere else before choosing Terracina Post Acute if you love yourself and/ or your loved ones. read more

Our family has nothing but positive things to say about this facility. Our mother has Alzheimerz/Dementia and has been in and out of the hospital over 35 times in the past 5 years. This is the first post acute facility that has treated us with dignity and respect and is willing to do what it takes to make sure of the patient and families well being. From Social Services all the way to the nursing staff and Drs, we have been blown away. I can't thank you enough. We have had nothing but Turkeys for facilites in the past. PT has been very helpful as well, along with wound care being called in. FINALLY somebody who does their job, and it shows in our case. The level of incompetence and unprofessionalism that we witnessed and experienced at Terracina Post Acute on a consistent, day to day basis was astonishing. For example, do you think it's proper for a patient to press their nurse call button and have to wait as long as two hours to get a response? The fact is that our Dad died while in the care of this facility and we will always wonder if he would still be with us today if he had been at facility that treats their patients like the human beings they are and not like mere "inventory". Has to be the worst place to recover and rehab in The State of California. My Loved one was brought here with out my knowledge or permission. The quality of care and ethics are suspect at best. The facility is a facade-Beautiful on the Outside but a real cesspool inside. The environment is very depressing, so many in need and appears that nobody cares. My love one is in a room with 2 other people with a 1980's antenna television a wind up bed and no phone or no phone access, the patients roam the halls like inmates in a correctional facility looking for attention and answers. I have not seen any physical therapy, activities or anything rehabilitative for that matter. The doctor said he was sent there because he's the Clinical Director and he see's his patients daily- he hasn't seen my love one since admittance. Unless you don't love the person being sent here , don't do it! The county Jail would be more comforting and the food surely better. What really angers me is they have the audacity to have a working fountain out front of their beautiful building but bring the patients lukewarm water to drink. It was a hard decision for me and my brothers to put our dad in a facility. I am really thankful to social services who helped to answer alot of our questions and put our minds at ease. I highly recommend this facility if you have a loved one who is short term vent dependent or long term vent dependent. The RT team and the new administration are transforming the level of care by doing the right thing and focusing on whole patient care. I recently had my loved one (75 yr old female) at this facility for her post acute care once we transferred from a Kindred facility. My loved one was vent dependent when we got there. Although it was a bit of hassle initially to find who to contact and get any information to begin the care as the timing of arrival was not communicated to the floor staff. But the RT team to my pleasant surprise had studied our case and was aware of all the equipment that was needed to transfer smoothly. They quickly got into action and got my loved one safely situated for her stay. I was very happy to see the level of communication within the RT team all were very professional and knowledgeable. Due to there hard work and diligently working on several veaning trials with the patient we were successful in veaning her off the vent within 1month. It has been a journey that every member of this team accomplished with my family. We have been there for 2months and everyone in the RT team (Pat, Omar, Alonso, Alex, Rocky, Chris, Jasmine, Jose and Justin all of them) helped made this journey a success at the end. It is their never give up attitudes and "let us know how we can help" that got us out in a timely manner. Our loved one is happily home now and enjoying grand children. Last but not least when we got the discharge orders they made sure we go home safely with all the authorized supplies that may help with continued care. read more

I'm a 31 year old patient who is currently here healing from a stroke. I'll start with the good points. I would give the rehab and Rehabilitation staff five stars they treat everyone fairly they encourage everyone they keep a positive attitude, and they are extremely helpful and desire to see everyone be healthy and succeed physically and mentally. They have a small facility where they work wonders when it comes to Rehabilitation when I first came here about a month ago I couldn't walk now I'm walking my Walker and becoming more independent people such as Kimberly the occupational therapist and Ken the physical therapist have done an amazing job keeping me inspired and helping me get back to my normal self as well as all of the other Rehabilitation staff they work as a team to ensure that patience are working to the best of your ability. As for the rest of the facility their employees could really use sensitivity training and a lot of the CNAs could truly learn how to be professional and take better care of their patients. Lots of the med nurses are excellent, the administration make sure that if you have any questions or concerns they stay on top of it. But the problem they have with their CNAs include neglect, complaining about their job, mistreating patients, and being completely unprofessional. If you're in a situation like mine where this is a temporary say for rehabilitation purposes I will give this place a great rating of 5 stars as for the facility itself after what I've seen they're okay but they need much more work most likely training within the different departments especially their nutrition and with their CNA staff read more

Do not bring your loved ones here, they are left on their own and not cared for and will eventually die here. I got my mom out of there after 4 days, thank God! I saw others being neglected, a side door left open 24/7, no real security there. Pretty scary place. The beds and rooms remind me of a seedy old motel in a scary movie. Old dirty beds and torn bed sheets, call buttons for which the staff ignore. I would stay 12 hours a day with my mom performing CNA duties. I feel so sorry for those who have to live here long term, the staff are very unprofessional and not compassionate. You can catch them anytime in the hallways on their phones, playing loud music and socializing. Truly a circus circus environment. So sad, they will get you in there to stay, drain your insurance, and attempt to keep you there as long as they can. They failed to follow all het discharge plans/instructions from the hospital, attempted to prevent my mom from going to her follow-up surgery appt. and from seeing her primary dr. Thank God, I was able to stealthy get my mom transferred to Ballard's Rehab, they were so angry and scratching their heads of how I pulled this off lol! WARNING believe all the reviews on here, even if you are desperate, research it out and find a better place for your loved one :( Oh and it's my belief and "opinion" the staff are definitely dipping into the medications carts for recreational use. There are no words for this place. My Father in law arrived here last night at 9:30 against our wishes from Hemet Hospital. Being he has a trache and a feeding tube we had limited options. We begged and pleaded with the case worker Lindy at Hemet hospital and he was still transferred. 4:30 am this morning we received a call that he was having chest pain and was in respiratory distress and was being taken to Relands ER. My Husband spent most of the day at the hospital with him and then he was sent back to Teracina at 3 pm this afternoon. I called Terracina at 6pm and was informed my bed ridden Father in law had fallen out of bed and the incident had been unwitnessed. We immediately left for Teracina. When we arrived there, there was no one to direct us and no one questioned us as we roamed the halls looking for him. Upon finding him his breathing was distressed, he had a huge gash in his head and he was freezing cold. I ask who was in charge and no one wanted to take responsibility they also stated the LVN had performed a neurological examine and he was fine. I told them she was not qualified to conduct this assement and I wanted them to transport him they stated they could not without a Dr order and the Dr was not onsite. I called 911 myself for transport. He is now in ICU in grave condition. This place needs to be shut down and it will be my mission to make sure that no one nor their family ever has to go through the hell that we are ! read more

Terracina is the stuff of nightmares. It stank of feces and urine. During my few weeks stay there, I was sexually assaulted, dropped on the floor, placed in the wrong ward, given wrong meds, robbed, and horribly mistreated and ignored. The Dr. and nursing staff are woefully inadequate, uncaring, and ignorant. I don't believe that anyone ever read my chart. The nasty people in "social services" were an insult to my intelligence. That is, when they were there. I was put in a small room with two other women, one of whom snored like a drunken sailor on shore leave, blasted the TV at decibel 10, and shouted at people who walked by the door at all hours. I don't think that I got a solid hour of uninterrupted sleep on any given day. The bed I was "assigned" was a close relative to a swayback horse. The wheelchair I had, had a wobbly wheel, thus making it almost impossible to go in a straight line. The 2 "physical therapists" were ignorant, obese idiots. The food was inedible. They couldn't even toast a piece of bread. I lost 25 lbs., off of my 115 lb. frame. When I learned on Thanksgiving that a female patient had been raped the night before, I decided that I was going to leave that hellhole. And did so the next day. I found out later that there was a patient who is still in therapy to help him deal with the atrocities he suffered there. I wouldn't take a dead rat there. Folks, if the previous reviews haven't turned you off from sending a loved one to Terracina, I hope you have gotten some further insight by my review. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! I would give this crappy place a NEGATIVE rating if possible! They left my mom to rout and die and no one gave a shit! My mom is a paraplegic of 40 years and had surgery at Loma Linda. The ONLY reason she was here was at the request of her surgeon. Very few places do dialysis in house while a patient recovers in bed. My mom had a leg surgery which required her to be on a special bed and laying down for at least a month, so doing dialysis is a chair wasn't an option. Surgeon wanted her here because of close proximity to the hospital not because they were good. We are very involved and have been there visiting my mom every weekend since she's been there. They let my mom sit in blood, her post surgery pads were saturated in blood and we had to change and clean her up. Mom finally told me they never even bathed her either! Wound care would come in and tell her everything looked good, but no one ever did what they were supposed to. They were supposed to rotate my mom every 2 hours and they didn't. They let her sit in the same position which lead to a massive bedsore and no one ever told us!!! Are you kidding me?! No one ever told her. She paralyzed so she never felt it, but it's documented in her file. Few weeks ago, family was there with her and she was fine. My mom was her normal self. Got a call later that night, tried calling back and no answer. No one ever answers and if they do the connection is terrible. My mom became altered and not making any sense. They let her remain in that altered state through the next day and nothing, told us she was better. Family went down there and found her practically dead! She was unresponsive and barely breathing and WE had to call 911. Rushed her to the hospital and ER staff told us if we hadn't gone down there or called she would have died. The lack of care is beyond terrible and negligent. If they did this to someone who has an involved family, I wonder what they do to the other patients who have no one. Please do not let anyone you love come here. read more

My Sister, Julie Rene Trotochau was in an accident, her car plunged to the bottom of a cliff on Aug 10, 2017. She is in a coma and on a trich, and was on life support. She was transported to Terracina Post Acute, from Henry Mayo Hospital. The care was very substandard, within 2 weeks she had bed soars, and very unconcerned staff. I personally witnessed ants crawling across the table at her bedside into her trich in her throat. A complaint was made, and the next day the nurse I will not name, said they had gotten rid of the ant problem the night before. The respiratory head "Pat" acted as if she was on something walking up and down the halls with a loud voice pushing other staff members around strange and unusual facial expressions, Overheard heard her telling another staff member "you spent too much time with your patient get out of the room and move on". I, and two other nurses heard her and was told to report her. I never did, thinking my sister was about to be moved to another facility, with better care and closer to the family in P.S. For several days the air condition was out, and sand bags cover the entire bottom level of the building. This is a old hotel converted with a new Front on the building, inexperienced caregivers. No one will answer the phone during business hours or other times of the day, or call back after leaving a message. Seems any one can work there. Absolutely no respect for the patience or concerned family members. This is the bottom of the barrel of care-giving facilities. My sister was moved by a family member who made a deal with one of the main Doctors (owners) in the middle of the night and transported her to her home. As of date The state has stepped in with Temporary conservitorship and placed my poor Sister back in this shit hole. The Notice first thing I noticed when I got there the front desk clerk chest hanging out i new after i got pass that it was about to be a circus. My aunt is on station 1 she was in pain her nurse was at lunch there was this tall fat Hispanic guy at the nurses station who just flat out ignored me didn't move at all i ask was is my aunts nurses around so she can get some pain mediation. I had to find out from the cnas that her nurses was out ot lunch. Find out later that he's a unit supervisor Jose. Who's monitoring these people is what i wondering well i over heard this guy bragging about how close he is to the Director of Nursing there and how they go out for drinks and how funny she is when she's drunk wow save your family member get them out read more

My husband and I stayed at Terracina for around 6 weeks. My husband being the patient. I found the rooms to be very dated and not so clean. I do know they are trying to update their decor and are changing cleaning company contracts. The dated rooms never really bothered me but it could of been alot cleaner. I am always looking at the quality of care within a facility and their ability to meet the needs of my husband. I found the staff to be very accommodating and made us feel welcome. I did stay there with him and did alot of his personal care....my choice of course. The respiratory team were outstanding, helping and training me how to take care of his respiratory needs so I could take him home, especially Pat, Kevin Jen and Abel who went above and beyond to make us feel safe. My husband was given the same LVNs who were amazing and he felt safe in their hands. Olivia Joy Lucy and Mary thankyou so much. I did feel there could be more CNAs in this facility and sometimes observed staff being pushed for time taking care of so many patients with complex needs. The CNAs that helped me with my husband were extremely kind caring and compassionate.... Ryan Thomas Danielle and Joslyn were extra attentive and rocked at their job. My husband had therapy while he was there.OT,PT and ST all staff being so wonderful. I cannot comment on how the facility operates for those who do not have an advocate present 24/7. read more

We have had horrible experiences with past care centers, so coming to the decision to bring my grandmother here was a very difficult choice for me and my husband but we were re assured of the care that would be provided when we came to tour, the ladies that toured us were amazing and very professional the environment isn't new but the people are very nice and give off a genuine vibe we have not had any bad experiences the staff has been great with us an the care of our grandma. read more

However, the one who's gotten out attention is Randi Lochi, in physical therapy..Randi has gone far and beyond the normal routine of physical therapy, she puts passion into her trade and makes the patients feel comfortable enuff to continue on wit the hard labor of physical therapy.. yesterday july 28th 2018 we had a birthday party for my brother in law. first we didnt know they changed his room. a nurse there, i didnt get her name but she was so nice to help us find him and where the party was at. thoughtful of her. also a shot out to alan. we needed to put party items in the freezer and refrigerator. he went above and beyond to make sure it was just that and he brought it to use when it was time we needed. our family appreciate everything that was done for us. read more

After seeing the past reviews I was quite hesitant with placing my aunt. Someone from there reached out and asked me to tour and that's when it began. After seeing all of the negative comments, I started panicking when the "renovation" word was said. The lady that helped toured was very nice and very informative. But I was still so fixated on the "renovation" and "staff". There was one thing that changed my mind was when the lady said the renovation is a positive thing and my mom would be a part of that. So that I was very happy about. Also the pictures I saw from the reviews was not what I saw so from other post so I was very happy about that as well. In the end the lady reassured me the staff are good and are looking for feedback. My voice can be heard for the care of my aunt. Who doesn't love that. Even after placing my aunt there I wanted to make sure they delivered and they did. They were not perfect because I would've given 5 stars if they were. Hopefully they will get there one day.
