We were traveling thru Forney and found this great Mexican restaurant called Madres. My wife had the Fried Avocado Dinner and I had the Chimichanga Dinner. Both meals came out quick and piping hot. The Chimichanga was fantastic and I tried a bite of the Fried Avocado and it was out of this world with flavor! Oh and the complimentary hot chips and salsa where a nice plus. The wait staff was very friendly and service great and quick. If we are ever near Forney again it is a must stop for us. read more

This is a great local place for a tasty meal, great prices and fast service. We had the queso which was the best we've had in Forney. We also had the beef chimichanga and the chicken flautas. Both entrees were substantial and very good. The rice and refried beans were the usual. The only thing I didn't care for were the boracho beans. The flavor wasn't right for me. We will definitely be back. We are looking forward to trying some of the other entrees. read more

Definitely a no frills place, nothing fancy, but wow the food is great! The service was friendly and fast, reasonably priced food and a decent kids menu. The chips and salsa were good, so I was hopeful for the food. I tried the enchiladas with 3 different sauces and was impressed with every one! Some of the best enchiladas I've had, lots of flavor. Nice find right off of Hwy 80- fast and friendly service - the chips were warm, fresh and crispy! The salsa was the best I ve had in a long time, months even. The fresh cilantro was evident! We ordered the lunch fajitas and even though the menu said no substitutions they substituted. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 was when server cleaned nearby table the spray reached ours. The food was fantastic, had to get used to yellow flour tortillas, server said due to butter in them... Anyway will definitely stop here again... read more

Best service you'll get in town! Servers are friendly and make you feel important. Owners are very down to earth and personable. They have the best bean and cheese nachos in town and I'm a big fan of their hamburger plate also. We consider ourselves "regulars" here for a good reason. The punch card is great! Love love love this place. One thing I like is if you ask for the extra Picante salsa they will get you some and it is great some of my favorite salsa anywhere. Also the owners are amazing folks take time to speak with them if you see them there. Sherry is a sweetheart and Billy has some amazing things he has come up with that is not on the menu if you are hungry try ordering the Cowboy Burrito but be warned it is a lot of food I personally like the Chicken one. Also love the tacos and tea and the Queso Blanco is amazing. I have never had a complaint and this is my go to TexMex in Forney and for that matter anywhere around this area love this place. Sherry and Billy's kids also work there so there is a family member there normally at all times. Also if you like Chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce they have the best I have ever had. Definitely a fan! my wife loves Mexican food, or at least what we Dallas people call Mexican food. Either way, I've never been a huge fan until I went to Madres. We moved to Forney not too long ago and we were looking for a little hole in the wall type place. I'll admit that the first time we went I wasn't too impressed but the second time was awesome. The first time we went I had the stuffed avocado... it was alright. I was more interested in my wife's steak quesadilla. The second time we went we had the steak fajitas. The meat tasted great, and the tortillas were great too. They make fresh tortillas - gotta love a place that does that! The next time we went I tried the quesadillas - I thought it was neat that I could add two different types of meat to it so I did, steak and pulled pork. It was great, and did i mention the pico tastes awesome!? I'm not a fan of tomatoes or any veggie (i'm a guy) but this stuff is awesome. Every time I go now i ask for extra pico... it's a must and it's fresh so once again, you can't go wrong. Every time you go you can get a card stamped and after 10 meals you get a free one... go on Monday and you get double stamps! So my wife and I go (2 meals) and we come out with 4 stamps which only gets me closer to that free meal, but honestly I don't mind paying for good food. Service isn't bad either, we've never had any problems and I'm picky about service. Overall a good place to go to. read more

Nice small little restaurant in Forney, near brookshires. Their chips and salsa are honestly my favorite part, I love their salsa! Their meals are very good, but nothing real fancy, and very inexpensive. My sister and I can go there and order sodas and a meal and get out of there for around 25$ including tax and tip, and that's at dinner. Their lunch specials are good too, though I rarely get the chance to eat lunch in Forney. read more
