Chilaquiles verdes with asada and eggs
    Evelyn V.

Came here from the reviews and it did not disappoint! I got the chilaquiles with asada and sunny side up eggs and it was bombbbb! My boyfriend got a torta cubana but ate it so quick I couldn't get a picture. Definitely will be coming back to try everything else. Oh and the aqua frescas bomb!

    DELICIOUS Chili Relleno!

We're visiting a friend in Chino. We're from out of state. My husband loves Huevos Rancheros so our friend asked his Hispanic friend for a recommendation and this is where he sent us. It's kinda off the beaten path. Very glad we were directed here! The guys had Huevos Rancheros with beans and potatoes. I had a Chili Relleno with beans and potatoes. We are all happily stuffed!!! (:-) They make homemade corn tortillas! So rare. These are PERFECT. I could make a meal out of these tortillas and beans. If I am ever here again that's what I'll do. The Chili Relleno was good but I can find them everywhere. It's very rare to find delicious homemade corn tortillas. We were pretty hungry when we got here and with all the visiting...kinda forgot to snap pictures before we dug in. (:-) If you find this review useful please vote!

    Chilaquiles Verdes

We came here on a Sunday, not too busy. The service was fast, clean place, I had the chilaquiles Verdes, they forgot my eggs with my chilaquiles plate, but other than that the food was tasty, I would recommend.

Pastor tacos and a Chorizo Taco. Perfect seasoning, sparse grease, and grilled onions for a beautiful touch.

I was pleasantly blown away by this Mexican restaurant. I've eaten a ton of Mexican food in Los Angeles, Mexico, and California in general. This place delivered the best mulas I have ever had, and the tacos were flawless. Grilled onions complemented the dishes. The chorizo had the right amount of spicy kick without the grease! Also, the pastor had a sweet pineapple seasoning that didn't include too much grease either. I don't give five stars lightly, but this restaurant hit the mark perfectly in terms of flavor, price, and friendly service. I can't wait to go back time after time.

Madrigal's looks like a hole in the wall spot, and they serve up some great tacos. When I was there it wasn't too crowded since I was in for a late lunch early dinner. The staff was super polite, and my food was served really quick. I got my order to go, and it stayed warm and travelled well. I've been places that if the tacos sit too long, they end up getting soggy, that was not the case with my tacos from Madrigal's. I tried 2 asada, 2 pastor and 1 chorizo tacos. The pastor tacos were my favorite. They were amazing. Great marinade on the pork, and super tender. The asada were great as well. The chorizo taco almost had a sweet taste to it, it was still enjoyable, but not the flavor I'm used to. This seems like a great spot to pick up tacos. They have a taco Tuesday deal (don't remember the price). The restaurant isn't too bug, but it looks like they did a good job maximizing the seating in the space they do have. Rating(out of 5): 1/2 #tacos #tacosarelife #TacosWithNeal #chino #IE #inlandempire

The place was pretty empty, yet the service was still very slow .To be fair, there was only one girl handling everything!! seating guests, taking orders, and serving food, while another man would occasionally come by to drop something off and then disappear. The food was the biggest letdown. The sauce was extremely dark, thick, and bland, with abt 6 large bay leaves in it. It also had a very bitter taste that overpowered everything. On top of that, the menu is very limited, only two combo options. If you want crab and shrimp together, you're forced to buy them separately, and it's not cheap The only upside was that they had a deal where if you spend over $70 before tax, you get a free item from a selected list. Also, the crab meat and shrimp themselves were very meaty and fresh, which is the main reason I'm giving this place two stars instead of one. Overall, I wouldn't return. The food , service and price just weren't worth it.

HOUSE PAN ROAST It tasted exactly what was expected. A creamy tomato soup consistency and flavor. Got level 2 or 3 for spice level. I wanted more of that creamy flavor, not spice. Any higher than 3 would be Tabasco level spice and up. Deliciously filled with shrimp, chopped scallops, small crab meat. I could taste the crab meat, which was all sitting at the bottom of the bowl. The scoop of jasmine rice with the creamy pan roast was comfort on another level. Got the small size, but it is enough for me. I do wish there were more shrimp and scallops and crab in the pan roast. I felt the scallops and crab were chopped too small and wished there was a bit more. But still I enjoyed the pan roast and would get it again. As an appetizer and accompaniment to the house pan roast, they bring a basket with three sliced breads and a side of butter. It's a light, soft bread with a bit of sour flavor. Didn't like it. I would have preferred dinner rolls. CUSTOMER SERVICE I arrived 1 hr before lunch closing time. It closes at 2:00pm and then re-opens for dinner at 5:00pm. But service was good! Only one server, but she checked back with everyone and all around better than most places I've been at recently. Lots of people came in 30-40 mins before closing time. Still, service was friendly and they weren't turned away. LOCATION At The Commons at Chino Hills. This is a large outdoor mall and have many parking spaces.

Hey Jackson, Instead…read moreof giving me an imaginary prize for being relentless, I would much rather appreciate your business taking accountability for the really poor service I had to experience in order to get a basic refund as a result of a mistake that was clearly from your restaurant. I can definitely be more upfront about my dietary needs moving forward when ordering, but even your employee admitted over the phone that chicken is not automatically part of the item that I ordered. If your staff wanted to add chicken to an item that should be seafood only, perhaps they should have asked if I was okay with that. After communicating with your employee about my concerns, I realized that the mistake on the food was secondary compared to the horrendous service I experienced when I shared my concerns. In your reply, you failed to mention anything regarding customer service that I mentioned, so let me say these facts again. I was hung up on several times over the phone, ignored multiple times when I showed up in person the next day, pressured to sign a claims release in order to get the refund, then was told I was an inconvenience to your business. Another fact is I lost my appetite after tasting your food yet was essentially called a liar when I came in the next day because I didn't appear sick to your employee. I cannot believe that is how your employee was allowed to treat a customer and I honestly hope you had a serious conversation with them. For the record, I was signed out of my main account for several months and did leave a review on a temporary account. Once I gained access to my main account, the review on my temporary account got deleted because that account got deleted. I operate on only one account and needed to re-write any reviews that got deleted. Looks like someone reported my review for your business, so I did revise it to better follow yelp's guidelines. Therefore, it is absolutely not an exact duplicate of the previous review. The real impact here is not only the loss of appetite, but also how I was treated after I raised concerns. It really was one of the most horrendous experience with restaurant staff. I will never again feel comfortable stepping inside your restaurant who is both careless and lazy enough to scoop an item that was already made with chicken in it instead of making a fresh one with only seafood then try to pressure a customer to sign a claims release to protect yourselves. Nice try, but I'm not falling for that and neither should anyone else.

I noticed the flavors were mostly just salty and spicy, to the point where I couldn't really taste the intrinsic flavor of the seafood itself. I ordered the mixed seafood cocktail, but it had mostly lemon juice and tasted much more like a ceviche than a traditional cocktail. Most concerning of all, I could tell something was off with the seafood, and it ended up giving me a major upset stomach after eating here. Considering how much we paid for just 2 entrées, combined with the fact that it made me sick, it is highly unlikely that I will ever return.

The flavor and seafood were absolutely on point. My group of five ordered the Snow Star Family Bucket with Full House sauce, and everything came out fresh, well-seasoned, and generously portioned. Portions were solid and we all left very full and very satisfied. If I had to nitpick: The mild Full House sauce was a little spicy for something labeled "mild." Still tasty, just a heads-up for anyone sensitive to heat. The fried calamari was good flavor-wise, but it was a bit light on calamari and heavy on fries. Small side note: my wife and I love having boiled eggs with our seafood boil, but unfortunately they don't offer boiled eggs here. Not a deal-breaker, just something we personally missed. They provided us menus, pretty straightforward; choose seafood, add sides for an extra cost, choose the flavor, and the spice level. One thing not noted on the menu is that shrimp isn't peeled, but they can peel them for an extra $6. And each order comes in pound increments. No half a pound offered. Your table is also covered with paper so you can eat the seafood boil from there. They provide bibs and gloves for no charge. Ultimately, we enjoyed our meals. Everything was flavorful and, unlike some other seafood boil spots, it didn't leave us feeling like we had heartburn afterward. There's a little sink for you to clean your hands at, which is nice since you dont have to wait for the restroom to empty. The service is what was a bit off. Like we asked for 3 Cajun fry boats but only received 2. Drinks were mixed up, and the clam chowder didn't arrive until about 20 minutes after our seafood bags had already been delivered. If you want ranch for your fries, they charge 60 cents for a small container. For drink refills, they bring a pitcher, but it's the kind typically used for measuring ounces. The server also tended to reach across one end of the table to grab empty cups or pass out food. Since I was seated at the end, it felt awkward having to help pass things down, especially since there were other access points to reach people in our party. We left around 920pm. I only mention it because we were the last group there, and we all noticed the heater seemed to have been turned on. Restaurant sign says open til 10pm on Sat. but we saw them turn off their open sign when we went outside. Needless to say, service could have been better.
