Went o a Friday afternoon it was very very busy , also it was during lent so we expected it to be busy , the service while sitting at the bar wasn't the best we did wait for quite some Time to have our order taken but once we ordered the food was brought out pretty quick , the food tasted great and price was not too bad , would definitely go again ... maybe not during lent next time lol

This place is awesome! Very cool layout they allow guest to sign their names on the walls and is very spacious place with a bar as well. The oysters taste so fresh and the boil itself was delicious. They give complimentary corn and potato in your boil bag. Flavio was a great server he was on top of everything. We were served right away and he kept coming by to check if we needed anything else. I will definitely be coming back to this place when I'm craving a seafood boil.

Craving crab tonight and headed to pier 88 for the first and boy was this a happy find! Got the pound in a bag crab with the 88 special seasoning medium spice and it was so delicious! Crab was cooked perfect. There was a corn on the cob and red potato in the bag. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Music a little loud for conversation but fun vibes. Parking was plentiful. Lots of seating. Be prepared to make a mess, wear the bib they give you, you'll thank me for saving your clothes. Bring a sharpie to sign your name on the wall. I will for sure be back!

Food was good when it came. Took awhile. There was good flavor to the overall boil. Not a fan of the alcohol beverage. More taste of water than actual alcohol. My waitress had a bit of a language barrier and was unable to explain the menu for me as a first timer. I wanted to know the specials and was not aware of what was popular or we'll liked. The environment is active. Lots of people having fun, laughing and having a good time. Pricey for groups as traditional 18% gratuity added whether you have a good server or not. That unfortunately, is why I didn't feel our server was very present because she knew she would get a nice tip. Overall, probably a one time trip for me.

This restaurant has a great spacious and open dining area with plenty of seating. There is an open bar and the do have mix drinks on their drink menu. I had there Famous Low Country Bowl which included 1/2 lb crab legs, 1/2 shrimps without their heads, 1 egg, 1/2 lb sausages, 1 corn on the cobb, and 1 potatoe with the house special seasoning. The crab legs were extremely small with very little meat. The shrimp were delicious seasoned well and large. The sausage were delicious as well. My brother had the lobster tail bag which includes shrimp, corn, potatoe, corn, and potatoe. The lobster tail was a baby small lobster tail. He had the garlic version of seasoning. I tasted his shrimp and corn the the garlic seasoning was good

I used to be a boiling crab stan and drive 20 minutes away for it but I thankfully found a place closer to home that has almost the same flavor. The shrimp here are HUGE but the sausage could be better. I will say for the price it's become my go-to seafood boil spot. And the servers here, in particular this one gentleman behind the bar is always attentive and welcoming.

Horribly prepared no seasoning just juice that taste like salt

Poor customer service I actually love this place come here literally ever two weeks & I drive all the way from Los Angeles the food is beyond great better than any other seafood place to me I don't go anywhere but here not but my past two visits have been horrible prior to today I did a Togo order and it was horrible bad was just fill of salty liquid no seasoning I was very upset wasted my money cause it was so distasteful I couldn't eat it I always get the famous country bowl 88 special spicy it was nothing like I normally get and today I haven't even got my food but the service is very bad but I'm just finding out they only have two servers so I guess they are stressed

It was okay. My husband and I both felt like the food lacked a bit of flavor. It wasn't bad, it just could have been better. I was especially disappointed with the corn included in my seafood boil. It was mushy and not sweet at all. Tasted frozen and not fresh. Prices were decent. Service was decent. They weren't particularly rude, but they also weren't really around to check on us. My husband had to get up to find service but it could have been that they were short staffed. I will say that the restaurant was clean and the music was cool. The food also came out pretty fast. Overall, wasn't the best but wasn't the worst either.

Ordered via DoorDash. Impressive meal. Having frequent restaurants in New Orleans, LA and Cajun crawfish boils, this restaurant exceeded my expectations. The only item missing was gator bites (seasoned and breaded alligator tail). Great job! Great Meal!

Jakob kept our water drinks filled plus helped with bringing out the hors d'oeuvres which were delicious. Wendy the floor manager stopped by to say hello and check on the birthday girl which I appreciated. Dinner dishes started to arrive and Wow what a work of art, great presentations on every dish and everyone tasting the other's dinner so you know it was a great choice to dine here! Dinner portions were perfect and very tasteful. We received 5 Star Service from everyone involved including Hostess Nataly & Sierra who stopped by to wish a happy birthday to my beautiful daughter! I highly recommend La Popular Restaurant as one of the best in the area! Don R.

They've got indoor and outdoor seating and they seemed a touch understaffed for being a beautiful day. It was also a Tuesday lunchtime so maybe they weren't expecting it to be as busy as it was. We were able to prove the menu before we got seated. And our super friendly server came out and we were able to order right away. They've got a lunch special. That is a small personal pizza with a salad and we each got that. Salads came out first and I had the arugula salad, which was absolutely phenomenal. 10 of 10 would eat this every single day. The arugula was peppery and it was well dressed in a lemon vinaigrette type sauce. I am a fan of just plain lemon on mine, but this was delicious. My husband got a union salad, which is their specialty I guess. It's got colored carrots and some beets and some shallots. I thought the dressing was bland and it certainly needed salt and pepper. We asked for both and didn't get either. Our pieces came out and they were nice and woodfired. I feel like they could've been done just a little bit longer maybe a minute or two. The sauce was a lovely fresh type crushed tomato sauce. The cheese was nice and gooey and did not feel or taste like a package of processed cheese. Pepperonis were greasy, but in a real meat kind of way. I had to dab mine, but my husband just went to town on his. The pickled peppers is a pickled jalapeño. Big chunks of them. They certainly didn't skimp on any of the toppings. They were a little sweet and a little hot. Some of the big chunks were a little too sweet for my liking but overall, it was a nice flavor mix Also from a size standpoint, I thought the salad and pizza were very adequate for lunch at around $20 price point I asked for salt and pepper again as well as a side of ranch. This time we did get the salt and pepper as well as cheese and crushed red pepper. But we didn't get the ranch until we were leaving. The server did apologize and said he thought someone else was bringing it out but I pretty much deducted a star because we asked for a couple different things that never came. Overall, the service was super friendly, the ambience was nice for an outdoor lunch thought. I thought the menu looked delicious and there were several things I would like to come back and try and I would go back again.

It was so underwhelming. 2 eggs cooked differently, one over hard, one over easy, 5-6 potato pieces and the steak was thin, overcooked, and appeared to be a cheap cut of meat. A New York cut would have been great. Wife mentioned norms has better steak and eggs. Called and spoke with a manager Stephanie, not looking for anything, but to express disappointment in the meal for the high price. She offered to mail a gift card for us and invited us back. Took all of my information and never received it. Thanks anyway. Don't think we'll be back.

Got a room for NYE, went out to dinner and stopped at bar at 7pm to get a dessert we read about on the elevator earlier. Bar had two table tops and 2 people at bar besides us for a total of 12 people. When we sat down the woman bartender was directly infront of us. She didn't acknowledge us and I'd noted us for at-least 10 minutes while never being more than 5 feet away from us, her bar back never acknowledged us either. Easily could have ruined the night, but since we spent so much for hotel and it was NYE we just decided to leave, not letting whatever problems they were having become our problems. I have read all the reviews for the bar and the have an incredible amount of negatives which is surprising because the hotel aspect of it was amazing. We will definitely stay at hotel again and being that there are 30 restaurants within a block we will never need to experience the bar again. I don't like to leave bad reviews and maybe she was going through something in her life that was horrible but she did have other employees that could have taken up the slack and they customers inside lounge were families with 5 of which were children so it's mot as if they were overwhelmed making mixed drinks. Don't let the Lounge and Bar take away from the actual Hotel though, that part was incredible.

The White Hokkaido is the matcha version, so instead of the coffee liquor, they use matcha, and it's delightful!
