Whoa, the reviews about the extremely slow service were accurate. When we arrived at 3:30, it was completely lifeless. For some reason, it took us twenty minutes to get a seat and an additional twenty minutes to receive our server. There was nothing particularly noteworthy about the sauce, and the food was mediocre. The fries and hushpuppies were the only decent appetizers. They never checked in to refill our waters, and the potatoes in our seafood boil were cold. We also told them that we were there to celebrate a friend's birthday and they never showed up to bring him dessert. I will most definitely not be coming back. read more

This place is awesome! Very cool layout they allow guest to sign their names on the walls and is very spacious place with a bar as well. The oysters taste so fresh and the boil itself was delicious. They give complimentary corn and potato in your boil bag. Flavio was a great server he was on top of everything. We were served right away and he kept coming by to check if we needed anything else. Craving crab tonight and headed to pier 88 for the first and boy was this a happy find! Got the pound in a bag crab with the 88 special seasoning medium spice and it was so delicious! Crab was cooked perfect. There was a corn on the cob and red potato in the bag. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Music a little loud for conversation but fun vibes. Parking was plentiful. Food was good when it came. Took awhile. There was good flavor to the overall boil. Not a fan of the alcohol beverage. More taste of water than actual alcohol. My waitress had a bit of a language barrier and was unable to explain the menu for me as a first timer. I wanted to know the specials and was not aware of what was popular or we'll liked. The environment is active. Lots of people having fun, laughing and having a good time. Pricey for groups as traditional 18% gratuity added whether you have a good server or not. I had there Famous Low Country Bowl which included 1/2 lb crab legs, 1/2 shrimps without their heads, 1 egg, 1/2 lb sausages, 1 corn on the cobb, and 1 potatoe with the house special seasoning. The crab legs were extremely small with very little meat. The shrimp were delicious seasoned well and large. The sausage were delicious as well. My brother had the lobster tail bag which includes shrimp, corn, potatoe, corn, and potatoe. The lobster tail was a baby small lobster tail. He had the garlic version of seasoning. I used to be a boiling crab stan and drive 20 minutes away for it but I thankfully found a place closer to home that has almost the same flavor. The shrimp here are HUGE but the sausage could be better. I will say for the price it's become my go-to seafood boil spot. The catfish basket was pretty good though. Reminds me of the stuff from Boiling Crab. As for the service, it was alright at first. I overlooked the lack of introduction and hint of attitude because we were all in a good mood, but... after getting our food, our server checked on us twice in the first 10 minutes. Fine. Afterwards, we wanted to order more rice for one of our little ones. We tracked her down, asked her and she acknowledged. After 30 minutes of waiting, we asked someone else to cancel the order. I found out afterwards from my wife that she was chatting up some guy and while ignoring my wife's attempts at getting her attention. Looking at the check afterwards, they automatically tipped us for 8 people. So THAT'S why she didn't serve us after the first 10 minutes! This spot hits! I highly recommend. My family celebrated Mother's Day here & we came on a Saturday. So best believe it was packed, it's the weekend! Haha they quoted us a wait time of 25 minutes for 5 people but we got seated sooner. Which I loved. I was hungry haha & tipsy. The food was hot & ready like hot girl summer haha, so delicious & mouthwatering. I got a margarita too & wow it was so good. The place was lit, everyone was just having a great time. The only thing I was like "aw" about was where we got seated. The food was good, I'll say that. I got a lb of shrimp no head and I was told it comes with an egg, potato, and corn. It came wit one for and one potato, no egg :( so a little sad about that. Oh my god, the bathroom is what did it. It was rancid in there. I'm not sure when they cleaned it last but my god it looked like a frat house. Visited on a Saturday evening and the wait wasn't too bad. Service was wonderful. The only thing was that the food itself was not that great. We ordered a seafood boil bag and when the bags were brought to us the waiter was reading them out but the one who took our order passed them out quickly (she already knew). Right when we go our bags we noticed there was pretty much double of everything and extra corn although we did not ask for it. We were pretty hungry so we just accepted it (and definitely got charged for it). The main thing is that we got our bags with the 88 sauce which is supposed to have everything in it but it tasted so bland and most buttery. We mentioned this to the server and she brought us extra spices which made the bag look more like saucy seafood boil but it still tasted like it needed something. As someone who is used to places like the kickin crab and boiling crab this was most definitely different and not for us. If you prefer more buttery seafood boil this will be good for you but I don't think we will be returning due to lack of flavor and taste. The bathrooms also needed some up-keeping. read more

So it took about 15 minuted to get to the restaurant, when we got there a cook came from back and said they would not replace.it because we ate all of it!. First of all delivery time and when I called should have let them know we didnt have time to eat anything? Also we ordered it for delivery through door dash and took the time to drive it back ourselves. Why would we do all.of that if we enjoyed the food yet nothing was missing but crab legs. Myself and my family of 4 daughters and partners have been supporting this restaurant since it opened. Prior to them having therw liquor license and always recommended to others and its a shame that this man comes out from the back with an attitude, calls me a liar and tells us he wouldn't replace our order cause it was eaten. How would we know it was off if we didnt taste it?? On top of that the female employee standing next to him seemed to get some satisfaction that we were told the food wouldn't be replaced. So we didnt even take the food back the cook kept it and said goodnight. So we are out 50 dollars and have no food. To start this review off, I want to say I have been here MANY times before but I always forget to take photos of the food we order! For my husband and I, we LOVE the food. The food always comes out fresh, hot, and scrumptious. Their 88 sauce is our favorite. We have tried shrimp, mussels, crab legs, fried shrimp, and cajun fries. We always come back to the shrimp though--that's definitely our jam. They have a great happy hour too, which is something we always take advantage of. The restaurant is fun, they allow you to write on the walls. Some people don't like it, I don't mind it. The reason I don't give this place 5 stars is the service. The food is good enough for me to overlook it. Usually when we come, we don't always get greeted at the door or seated, even when it's not busy. Sometimes our waiter/waitress doesn't check on us at all and we have to constantly ask for what we need. Once, my husband had to get our refills from the bar himself. This place is my go-to for crab! It's sooooo good. The service is ok, sometimes they get busy so they take a little long but the food makes up for it. I think it's funny the bartenders take shots and get drunk with customers. So if you go late on a weekend the bartenders (and servers) might be buzzed already. read more
