Decided to try this Thai place for the first time last week and wow was it delicious! The flavors of everything are just very good and everything's made fresh. The first time we went, there was a Saturday evening so the service was a little slow and there only was like one worker and she was pretty much handling everything taking orders getting orders out, checking out people, etc. The second time we visited, the service was much faster as the restaurant was not as busy on a weekday evening. The decor site is very authentic and I enjoy the ambience very much. This is our new Thai place for sure! I highly recommend this restaurant. Also they're on DoorDash.
Delicious Delicious Delicious! After a long absence I returned to purchase their Green Chicken Curry with medium plus spice, and the Fresh Spring Rolls with Tofu. All was delicious as well as visually appealing! Well packaged for carry-out and reasonably priced. Totally enhanced my World Cup viewing experience of the Haiti vs Brazil match
Check your food before you carry out. Obviously they skimp you on the tofu if u are not dining in. I got thai tofu spring rolls and they cut them up into multiple parts which was horrible to go because they all stuck together and ripped and the tofu was 1 little tiny sliver in it. Not happy not a good experience and I will never go here again
Checked this place out based on their menu items and the good reviews. Located in a huge plaza with plenty of parking. Upon entering there was only 1 waitress who was doing everything from taking orders, bringing out orders, ringing people up, and bussing tables so it was a bit of a small wait to get a table as she was solo. There were a few small parties she was tending to when we got there. Give the cook a raise! Everything we ordered was delicious! The cook named Thoum perfected all flavors and the food came out all together in a timely manner. We ordered the crispy noodle lard nah, beef pad see ew, and nam ngiao. Pad see ew and crispy noodle lard nah were delicious in flavors. The only thing with the lard nah was it contained too much gravy sauce so maybe less on that but overall still fire. It was my 1st time ever having nam ngiao. I don't think I've ever had it homemade or even seen it at any restaurants. I was curious and so glad I gave it a try it was hearty packed with a hefty amount of protein but yet the broth was light and refreshing. It contained pork ribs and pork blood tofu which was my 1st time having that as well. It was like a spongy texture like the pork blood was dehydrated and fermented. It was good! We also got mango sticky rice for dessert which was a perfect ending to our meal. Not too sweet just the way I like it. All the decorations inside were so cute even down to the water cups. Everything is nicely decorated to give you a glimpse of the Thai culture. I love it!

We had a party of 10, so I called ahead and they were very friendly and accommodating, getting us a table as soon as we needed for the amount of people we had. The inside of the restaurant is very decorated, and although on the smaller side had a very nice vibe. Our server was quick to get all of us sat and had waters and hot water out fast. We ordered a large array of dishes, and almost all of them were great. Some of the standouts were the papaya salad, crispy pork, and tom yum fried rice. Our whole table was blown away by the tom yum fried rice. It had a very well done wok flavor and texture to the rice while still accurately capturing all of the classic flavor notes of a tom yum. From what we know, everything just tasted very high quality and authentic. We just wish we lived closer so we could come eat here again. If we are ever in the area I'm sure we will!
WOW. What a great hidden gem! Best Thai spot in the area, I felt like I was whisked away to Northern Thailand forreal. MUST TRY dishes: pad Thai and yellow curry. You know the food is bomb when you come to a place four times in the last five days HAHA. Their crying tiger special entree is my go-to as well as their fried pork belly. And not to mention the service is top-notch. This is definitely my new go-to Thai restaurant in the Riverside area. Thank you Mae Sai for satisfying me and my cravings every time. :)
Had to try this restaurant out because of all of the good reviews. Did not disappoint. The food was authentic & delicious. My girls, wife, & I enjoyed each bite. Highly suggest the Yellow Curry, Spicy Lao Papaya Salad, Crispy Chicken Leg Quarter, & Pad Won Sen Glass Noodle. Definitely going to be worth coming back to this restaurant whenever we pass thru to San Diego.
The cold weather in Temecula had me craving something warm and soupy, and after browsing nearby restaurants, I decided to try Mae Sai. The Kao Soi on the menu looked very tempting, so I ordered it. When it arrived, the portion was generous, especially the chicken, and it came with pickles on the side. However, the soup was quite sweet for my taste, and the sweetness overpowered the other flavors (ps: I have tried this menu on other Thai resto and have better taste - to my opinion). On a positive note, the service was wonderful--the lady who assisted me was very kind, attentive, and caring. Inside the place also has some cute and colorful decor making it pleasant dining indoor.

All the plates we ordered were flavorful and had a true authentic Thai food profile. If you know about Thai food spicy, then you will understand this comment when I say some restaurants have turned down their Thai spice level for the American masses this location when I got medium it was a true Thai spicy medium usually when I go to places and get medium, it will still taste like a mild heat, not here and I thoroughly appreciated that. I will definitely be back at this location because the food was delicious. The decorations were very cute and I enjoyed every bite.

You grab a menu and sit down at any table of your cosen and in totally cool with that. Before I get to the fold I must say the music was in point and they even had a tv playing some cartoons for kids over head which can be a nice touch. The inside was beautifully painted within theme of the restaurant and I love that kind of stuff. Now for the food, excellent. We had my current favorite the Pad Woon Sen and some Basil fried rice. We added seafood to them and was happy that none of the seafood was over cooked and remained tender. Everything tasted fresh. I was also happy they had fresh Thai chilis for those of us who like to order Thai spice like myself. This Amps up the heat without unbalancing the flavor and they executed beautifully. The Thai tea was also creamy and a nice addition to the meal. Also look at the dishes we were served in!!! Come on!!! I love the little things when the food is so on point. Visited Mae Sai with a group of five. It looks small from the outside, but there's plenty of seating inside, and the decor creates the Thailand ambiance. We've had plenty of Thai food, but Northern Thai cuisine was a new experience, and it was awesome. We ordered fried pork belly, Panang curry, papaya salad, fried rice, Tom Yum soup, and one mango sticky rice... which quickly became two. Let's just say the table was pretty spotless by the end. Even our aunties enjoyed it so much they're already planning their next visit. Clearly, it was Thai-me well spent. Great, friendly service and delicious food all around. The good here is so good! I love how the owners kids are playing outside when guests are there enjoying delicious cuisine. Portions are just ok. Not really enough to have yummy left overs the next day but everything is so fresh and tasty that you want to eat everything. This time I tried the fried tofu and it's crispy and firm with a nice thin coating. The sauce is excellent like a home made chili sauce with added peanuts. Yesssss! Our fav Thai food place in Temecula. There is inside and outside tables and lots of cute decor. Service is good. Food comes out pretty quickly. Def recommend! read more

Delicious, authentic flavors are found here! I found this small little restaurant fun in their colorful decor that makes you feel like you stopped to grab a bite to eat at a street food vendor in Thailand (of course!). We did our usual yellow chicken curry. Pad Thai with pork and stir fry vegetables. Each dish has their own unique flavors. The chicken and pork were so tender. Delicious! We will be back! read more

This place is a must do if you like Thai food. Very nice and colorful interior with umbrellas hanging from the ceiling. There's seating outside, two tables for two. So much to choose from....we had yellow curry with chicken (one of my favs) pad Thai with pork and vegetables. Accompanied by sides of delicious white rice. We had tea! Most Asian restaurants have gotten away from pots and give you glasses or some kind of cup. Mae Sai had pots with real tea in a strainer. We love that. The service is very good. Totally exceeded my expectations!!! We will absolutely be back ASAP! We got a HUGE thai tea with coconut milk (yay for non dairy milk option!) and a thai coffee with less ice. A+++ then we got the fresh spring rolls with tofu = BOMB. And for our main dishes we had the orange chicken PERFECT and the glass noodles with pork. I want to try them with shrimp next time! Love Mae sai. I often get their fried chicken & papaya salad with sticky rice combo. Such a cool presentation when you dine in. Their chicken krapow is delicious & flavorful with the yummy crispy fried runny egg. I honestly need to explore more & stop ordering the same things. My friends however really enjoyed their pad se ew & all the pork belly dishes on the menu. I did try the eggplant dish & the pad se ew. The pad se ew was yummy & a little sweet. The eggplant had a great flavor but I wished the sauce was a little thicker so it clung to the meat & veggies more. Service is great. This place changed a few times over the last few years. It used to be my favorite go to for Hawaiian food, then it became 'Ano Thai'. But they haven't changed the sign as of February 2025 so the sign still says 'Ano Thai'. So don't get confused. lol I honestly didn't get to try 'Ano Thai' that much since they didn't stay long, so I can't compare if they are the similar. But my friends and I are loving Mae Sai, do I hope they don't disappear like the previous owners did. read more

We wanted to try a new Thai place so we came here based on reviews. We both wanted to try new dishes and order something we've never tried before. I ordered a red curry soup and it was good. For $1.00 you can make it an entree which includes rice. My husband ordered Hung Lae Curry which he really enjoyed. It tastes very similar to Indian food. We had a sweet waitress. This restaurant is a bit small however they seem to do a lot of takeout orders. I will definitely be back to try more on the menu. read more

My only complaint is how far this restaurant is from me! We stopped by on our way back to SD from a desert trip. Was amazed to find an amazing authentic Thai food in Temecula. We ordered the Krapow Kai Dow with pork and the Kua-Kai from the Mae Sai specialty. Both dishes were perfect. Cooked super fresh and with the right amount of heat. The green beans from the Krapow Kai Dow were especially fresh. Service was great and you can tell the staff are very attentive to their customers. There were a lot of families coming in and out with both dine-in and take-out orders. The restaurant itself is a bit small but has larger and smaller tables. Loved the hand painted scenery on the back wall. Will definitely come again to try other dishes! read more

Amazing experience! I dont usually give reviews at all cause I just dont care for it but this place is honestly worth and needs the review because of how much I loved my visit. The food was definitely 9/10. The only reason I give a 9 is because of the prices but even then its understandable with why the foods are on the pricier side. The customer service was amazing. Offered us everything we needed. They close at 8:30 and only had take outs at the time I went hut even then they wlecomed us and didnt get mad or make us feel rushed. We tried Mae Sai Thai today. It's located in the Food 4 Less shopping center off Ynez. There's plenty of parking, but you might have to park farther since there are other restaurants beside it. We tried the Pineapple Fried Rice w beef, Chicken Pad Thai, and Beef Pad Sew. All were delish, except I wasn't a fan of the raisins in the fried rice. What stood out was the peanuts. I had asked for peanuts on the side, and when I sprinkled it on, it gave the Pad Thai smokey taste. Then I realized the peanuts were probably roasted and fire seared. I liked it, it was different, but good!! They also have vegan options (since i was feeling tofu), which I was going to get, but kids wanted meat. Had dinner at Mae Sai Thai last night. It was my first time here. It is a small place, but when we arrived at about 8:00pm there were about 3 or 4 available tables. The decor was colorful and fun with parasol umbrellas on the ceiling and bright murals on the walls! Our server was helpful and friendly. I first ordered a Thai tea lemonade, but our server suggested I may want to try it first because she said it made some people "feel strange". I opted not try it and went with a Thai green tea instead. I also ordered the pad se ew noodles with chicken. My noodles were very good. I really liked that they were not overly salty as this dish can be in some restaurants. I also enjoyed the fresh, bright veggies in the dish, particularly the Chinese broccoli. The bowl seemed small at first, but I actually was not able to finish it because I was full. My Thai green tea was refreshing and not overly sweet. Huge menu with so many great sounding items. I'd highly suggest the Maesai Special menu items! We got the Thai beef jerky, orange chicken, and M18 Som Tum combo- fried chicken thigh . Beef jerky was tender and delicious. The dipping sauce was amazing. The orange chicken was crispy, and sauce was added on top super fresh and yummy. The fried chicken thigh was plated in such a cool way (see photo) super fresh and hot. Good spice. We were greeted upon entering, and our order was taken shortly after being seated.
