Oh, my gosh!!! This is the best Thai food outside of Thailand. I had the green curry with chicken. I had no idea that curry could be so wonderful. The spring rolls are delicate, loaded with fresh veggies and delicious. My husband ordered the Pad Kra Pao. He'd eaten this dish in LA with our son at a wonderful Thai restaurant. My husband said that Maggie's Thai version was so far superior. And, to end the monumental dinner, we had the house made Coconut Ice Cream for dessert. I had no idea a non dairy dessert could be so heavenly. While we were there, two men were dining. They'd driven from Oregon to experience the food. They ordered five entrees and ate all of it. At the end of the meal, they announced to all of us there that they hadn't experienced food like this for 30 years. That was the last time that they had visited Thailand. Do yourself a favor, grab some friends and go visit Maggie's Thai food. You will be so happy you did. read more

Maggie Thai Kitchen is a wonderful restaurant in all respects. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, to begin with. Usually a friendly person greets you. All the people that work there are incredibly nice. And.... the food is authentic and amazing. There's something for everyone, from Thai burgers to fantastic noodles with tofu and sauce. There is a full veg/vegan menu as well. It's great for a casual lunch and they also have some very nice wines which is unusual for most Thai restaurants. Loved it all! read more

I love food from around the world. I have ever since I was a little kid (and I am 50 now.) Thai food is one of my favorites. Lime and a Coconut (food truck) was by far the best Thai in the whole Treasure Valley ... until now. My mom and I had lunch at Maggie Thai today and we were completely blown away! We shared the Pork Jerky, Chicken Larb (spiciness at a level 3 which was just right in my opinion) Pork Belly Lettuce Wrap Set, and Mango & Sweet Sticky Rice. I also had the Thai Lime Tea. (So much better than just "Thai Tea") To say it was "good" would be a complete understatement! The food was AMAZING (!!) and very authentic. The menu was extensive. I admit it was a bit overwhelming but I am glad we took our time to look it over before we ordered. I didn't want to order the standard Pad Thai. (Or their Thai Burger - even though I am sure it is delicious.) Don't get me wrong. I love Pad Thai! But it has become sort of the "General Tso" of Thai food. For my first visit, I wanted to put them to the test. I also wanted them to know that I wasn't a novice. The first thing I noticed was presentation. Your eyes and taste buds work as a team. Whoever tells you that presentation doesn't matter, definitely isn't a foodie! Everything here was plated as if you were at a fine dining restaurant. Once I tasted the food, I knew that I was going to become a regular customer. The Chicken Larb was some of the best I have ever had (if not THE BEST). The pork belly just melted in my mouth. It was just so delicious. ... As for the Mango & Sticky Rice, that WAS the best I have ever had. I never thought anyone would top Lime and a Coconut's recipe, but they did it! I can not express to you enough how good the food was! The staff (and who I presume was the owner) were so friendly too! They really made my mom and I feel welcomed. Money is tight these days. The very last thing I want to do is spend my money on places that don't value me as a customer ... the flip side is that when a business goes out of their way to be friendly and let me know they appreciate my business, I just want to open my wallet and say to them "take my money!" It may seem silly but it is true. So bottom line: If you want the best Thai food in the treasure valley, you HAVE TO go here! This place is a treasure! We have to keep them in business. read more

My husband and I saw that this place had great reviews so we decided to order take out. I ordered the Yellow Curry with chicken, which was delicious. However, my husband ordered the Pad Thai and it was the most plain Pad Thai we have ever tasted. It's almost as if they completely forgot to put the peanut sauce in it. This was super disappointing considering I feel like Pad Thai is a staple Thai dish. I wish I could eat here every day and I've only been here once. To start the restaurant is super adorable and full of live plants which as a plant mom I'm a fan of. The service was friendly and good. Our drinks were always refilled and the food came out pretty darn quick. The Thai chicken wings are how chicken wings oughta be, crunchy on the outside and still juicy on the inside. The Tom Kha Gai was pleasantly spicy and tasty. Some of the best broth I've ever had. There also were not chewy stalks of lemon grass in the soup (you could definitely still taste the lemon grass) which is something that will sometimes deter me from ordering Thai soups so extra stars for that! I got Panang curry and my boyfriend got red curry. We were both very happy with our selections. I'm glad we ordered a lot of items because it was exciting to get to eat more of this delicious food as leftovers later on. I really can't wait to go back and try more of the menu. My family had a wonderful meal at this lovely new Thai restaurant!! We devoured the Larb Nam Tok Pork. It was all SO delicious. I could have eaten 12 chicken satays. We had the Pad Thai, Thai Spring Rolls, Pad Se Ew and Tom Kha Gai soup. All was amazing. There were only three of us! Ha! Next time we will leave the kiddo home for a date night and get more spice!!
