Quick service, and a good breakfast. This was just what my dad and I were looking for on the way home from the VA. We both had version of eggs Benedict. I had the traditional version with ham, eggs and hollandaise sauce on an English Muffin. Dad had the southern version with a sausage patty, and egg on an English Muffin with hollandaise sauce. So glad to find this little place. We enjoyed a great breakfast. The poutine called my name, and did not disappoint. The base layer of tator tots was crispy to the last amazing bite. Sausage gravy put this dish over the top for me. So good. We were welcomed when we got in the door. Service was quick. Shout out to Angie, who made us feel welcome. My review is circumstantial so take it as you will. I used to get the Poutine on a semi regular basis by ordering online and getting car side delivery, but then I got a meal that had severely undercooked bacon, a piece of which I started to chew and swallowed some of before spitting it out because I felt too disturbed to go on. I didn't order there anymore because when I saw how undercooked the bacon was, I realized it had to be either done on purpose or done by a complete moron and therefore I couldn't trust the restaurant anymore. The main point is that I got Taenia Solium (pork tapeworm) soon after. That was the only incident that aligned with my diagnosis. My impression is they have a dark side. read more

We didn't even get seated at this place! We waited 15 minutes for a 5 minute wait. Two other parties of two came in after us and were offered bigger tables and offered the bar (and they were seated as our party of two was not.) I feel this was very discriminatory being a mixed race couple. I returned later with my white daughter, the same wait time, and was offered seating immediately. We left. Kid 2 & I arrived for a late breakfast around 10 AM on a Friday after an early morning appointment. The restaurant was about 1/3 full: a good sign at that time of the day, in my opinion. The decor was welcoming, modern and crisp. Bright red walls were muted with gray accents, black tables and a bright white ceiling and trim. Tables were "seat yourself," so we chose a perch (see what I did, there?) at the far side windows, near the corner. Big windows allowed lots of natural lighting, but no drafts (yay!) Service was prompt and pleasant. I ordered decaf and our (very pleasant) server returned with a full pot, just for me. Kid 2 ordered an orange juice, and it was delivered in a tall glass. No waiting for refills, for either of us! Kid 2 ordered the Southern Benedict: two poached eggs on english muffin halves with sausage patties and sausage gravy, accompanied by hash browns. The muffin was perfectly done (I have a serious pet peeve about overcooked/hard muffins on my Benedict!) and the sausage gravy had lots of good flavor and chunks of sausage bits. The hash browns were plentiful, and nicely browned on the edges. This was a substantial amount of food -- Kid 2 brought home half for lunch (half orders would be a nice idea, or maybe split a plate if you've got a smaller appetite). I ordered the Poutine: a bowl of tater tots topped with cheese, crispy crumbled bacon, sausage gravy and two eggs over medium, served with a side of toast (or you can get pancakes). I chose marble rye. Two large slices were just right to dunk in the yolks of the perfectly-cooked eggs. The tots were crispy and the gravy was peppery and chunky. The bacon crumbles were plentiful, and the amount of cheese was "just right." Every bite was a pleasure worth ditching your diet over. Of all the local "breakfast and lunch" places nearby, this is far and away our new favorite. The atmosphere, service and food were all top notch, and the prices were reasonable for the amount of food we got. Looking forward to trying it out for lunch! read more

Went here for lunch today. They were busy, but I got a seat at the bar right away. I noticed all the staff looked out for drinks needing to be refilled, or guests ready to pay their bills. I ordered avocado toast and the avocado was absolutely inedible. It wasn't ripe whatsoever, it was hard, and had no flavor even when I decided to bite through the hard exterior. I placed the entire avocado on the side of my meal and the waitress didn't even notice or ask if there was a problem with it. Love lots of things about this new place on Gull Road and am so happy that something went in to this building. It's also nice to have another breakfast option on our side of town. We went early on a Sunday morning and it wasn't too busy but it sure filled up fast. The staff seems pretty well trained and our food came out very quickly. I got the southwest omlette​ but as a burrito. It was good but you must have salsa to give it some flavor. Hubby got a waffle with strawberries and liked it but wished for fresh fruit on top. 10 yr old got the oatmeal and it was your typical bowl of oatmeal. I guess I have nothing bad to say at all but nothing wowed me either. We will definitely be back though and there were a few other things on the menu we would like to try. read more

Oh my goodness. This was honestly one of the most delightful breakfast establishments I've ever been to in my life. The service industry has been hit incredibly hard, but everybody here was cheerful and delightful. The service alone was 5 stars, but then the food came. I am an avid lover of all things benny so when I saw the skillet and they told me I could omit the ham I was sold. The eggs came perfectly cooked the tater tots were super crispy and there was ever so much bacon, but the superstar was the Hollandaise. I've had some really good and mostly mediocre, but this sauce was decadent. I rarely finish everything on my plate and despite my stomach's angry protest I did finish. My husband got the Boston cream pancakes. Talk about mixing the best of both worlds. I was worried that the chocolate would be thin or bitter, but it too was great and the custard, phenomenal. I wish this place was closer to my house but I'm kind of relieved it's not. read more
