Just like it's sister restaurants, the food and menu are one of a kind. Whenever I see a menu that ranges from beef stew & French onion soup, from wings to pork potstickers, from pub sandwiches to sushi I am always hesitant. To me, too much variety is food quality's biggest enemy. This restaurant (like Hale Street) bucks the trend. We got the nachos with pulled pork which were some of the best nachos I have had. Not because they had a ton of pulled pork. But these were so good because the nachos were LAYERED. Something every nacho-fan wants but never gets. Usually all the toppings are floating on the top layer of chip and there is a desert of dry chips at the bottom. These nachos had all the fix-ins at each layer of chip. You won't believe me if you have never had Hale Street, but this sushi was amazing. Talk about nicely rolled, beautifully presented, perfectly combined flavors, and fresh fish. We will be back to try the rest of the menu. The bar and ambience here was great for a family, for a casual date, or to watch sports on the big TVs. Highly, highly recommend. read more

The price was not worth the meal. Ordered chicken Tortilla salad and calamari and both were subpar in quality with burnt chewey chicken that had the taste of grill tar. I would hope the dinner menu would be better but would never come back for lunch again. read more

I'm not sure how I came across Maggie's Farm, it just popped up in my social media and looked amazing! Great photos and marketing by the way! Good food and well spaced out as we head into post COVID days. Waitress was great, and food was good. My two suggestions would be please get some lighting inside. If you aren't sitting in a boot with a light directly overhead, it was so dark (even in a very sunny day!)! I could barely see the food in front of me! The bathroom was small and only 1 stall was working. Much to tiny for the amount of diners! read more

I thought I would like this place, considering that every time you drive by it, it appears to be full of people. I was extremely disappointed, I don't know what other people see in this place. Their menu is bare and basic, nothing to rave about. My burger was dry, the fries were ok. Maybe it's the bar area, who knows. read more

I have passed this place all the time and never went before tonight. I had the rainbow roll and the babs roll. Both were good. Not great but good. I also had Brussels sprouts with bleu cheese for an appetizer. This was delicious!! Great atmosphere with a band playing. The place was packed. The nachos looked amazing. I came to Maggie's Farm last week for the first time and we sat at the bar. We had such a great experience! Our bartender's name was John Carlo. He is professional, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. We were watching him take care of all of his customers quickly and effectively. He answered our questions about items on the menu and had lots of patience with us. We ordered the nachos, short rib dinner, and the baked haddock. Everything was delicious! This is the second time we have been to Maggie's Farm. The first time was terrific and the second time did not disappoint. We went for a late lunch. I had the fish and chips. Both were outstanding! The fish was fresh, flaky and perfectly done. The fries were definitely hand cut, plentiful and good to the last little crunchy one (I love the little crunchy ones). I only get fried food occasionally and usually only for fish and chips, so I am fairly fussy about them. I highly recommend these. My husband ordered the Maggie's Burger. This is one of the only places that actually knows how to cook a burger 'medium-medium rare'. Kudos to the cook for their interpretation! It was outstanding! Between the great good and happy atmosphere, we definitely will be back! read more

Very pleased with our meal. A tip for parents: kids work well here. On Sundays they offer half off a kids meal for each adult meal ordered. It comes with a drink and ice cream included. But beware. Two of our kids ordered root beer. Winds up there are drinks that are not OK to order with kids meals. Root beer is one. It's the good IBC stuff that comes in bottles. Bottles they sell for $4/ea. When our bill came we were pretty surprised, as the waitress had not warned us. Usually when such a misunderstanding happens, the wait staff will just take it off your bill. Or split the difference. Or... anything. This waitress basically slapped our wrist, warning us "now you know for next time". A presumptuous warning, indeed. $8 is a lot for sugared water. Really put us off from returning, despite the quality of the food and atmosphere. read more

We never have to ask for lids on our cups and they give out coloring paper with crayons when they sit. The food/drinks for adults is amazing. Loud enough you can relax and your children can have a good time. Overall a venue for adults but easy place to bring the kids early enough in the evening. read more

Quaint, upbeat place on the North Shore. Right around the corner from my parents house, so it's a nice place for catching up when I visit. I like that the menu is diverse. New American, but you can also have sushi. Best of both worlds! My favorite plate is the mussels. I know it's listed as a starter, but it's large enough to have as a dinner with a sushi roll. The drinks are always fun and creative, while keeping a few staples on hand. They make a mean margarita, and my mother loves their Hot N' Dirty Martini. Overall this place is great, the only down side is due to its small size, catching a table/spot at the bar can be difficult. And it also gets very noisy. read more

I was visiting from LI and someone recommended this place to me as a must try while I was in the area in MA. I was excited to see a lot of gluten free items and I contacted the manager and found out they have a separate fryer and were very knowledgeable about food allergies.. winning!! I ordered the sword fish kebabs and fries..both were very large portions of food, way too much for one person, but that just meant my friends had left overs for the next day. There were no tables available when we got there (they don't take reservations), so we sat at the bar and ate and it was just as good as having a table. Drinks were made really well and the bartender, Michael was great! He was really tolerable to our buzzed antics and crazy conversations and my requests about being gluten free, without getting annoyed. Overall, this place is great and if you are in the area, it's a must. I will definitely be back next time I'm visiting. Packed but no wait and the host hooked us up with a seat right in front of a tv for the Bruins playoff game. It was unfortunately under a vent, but nothing a sweater couldn't fix. They have a good beer and drink selection. - my fiancé went for the Allagash draft and I had the sangria special and a pomegranate wheat beer, delish. We had the Philadelphia roll to start, yum. For dinner I had the CBLTA and my fiancé had the pulled pork - both were super messy but that obv means they were good and they were served with handcut fries. Our waiter was great and the atmosphere was cool and casual. Only bummer is that we live a half hour away! Some of the entree prices are also a little bit more than your average restaurant, but the quality is there. Side note: the table next to us got the fried clam special. The food here is normally pretty good as are the drinks. Live music an added plus based on the day you decide to dine. Service level is average at best. On this occasion, systems were down and waitress disappeared after explaining the situation vs checking back and providing updates. Waited nearly 30mins for drink and nearly 40mins for appetizers to finally come out as nothing could be rung through the register. Temperature in the establishment was uncomfortably cold, when a different waitress was asked if the AC could be turned down, the response was "I'll ask" with a bit of a frustrated tone in her voice. This concern of temperature came from 3 separate tables in unison and was not received well. This establishment is a potential crown jewel but poorly run and operated will limit its continued success. read more

Decent food, poor service. Very slow. Salad came 30 minutes after the main course. No apologies or excuses.
