I'd give zero stars if I could. We were quoted $250 to do a basic cleaning in an empty house that only needed floors and bathrooms cleaned along with some dusting. I honestly can't tell you what they did beside fold the toilet paper--dust was still on the counters and when I wiped the floors with a paper towel it was obvious that they hadn't even swept. We called to let them know and were told we were given the wrong info from the recruiter and it should have been $490, so we "got a deal". They couldn't tell us what the maids actually did but wanted to charge us $80 more to have them come back and finish this "basic cleaning". When we told them we either wanted a refund or to have them come do the job they told us they'd do because we had already paid $250 for nothing, we were told (and I quote): "YOU CAN DREAM ABOUT GETTING A REFUND OR THAT WE WILL SEND ANOTHER MAID OUT WITHOUT CHARGING BUT IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN." I shared that if the recruiter that took the call gave us the wrong information, that was on them and the business needed to eat the cost and educate their employees vs taking it out on the customer. He then proceeds to argue with us and insult us some more (including calling us cheap for not wanting to pay $80 more) before hanging up. End of day, we didn't get the service that was described to us and are out money without any resolution. So first off, everyone should know that this is actually a Maid Referral service rather than a cleaning company. I chose them because of the Yelp discount and easy online booking process. We had done a quick clean of our condo a week or so prior, so it was already in fairly good shape, but I wanted all of the harder-to-reach and more-difficult-to-scrub places to be dusted and dirt-free. I selected the "deep clean" option while booking (which costs extra) to make sure all of that would be covered. During the initial walk-through, I specifically asked her to make sure the baseboards were clean in addition to some other things. I was told over the phone beforehand that the cleaning would take 5 hours, but she said it would only take her 3 hours. She mentioned that she had dropped her brother off at the park nearby, which gave me the impression that she wanted to finish faster so he wouldn't be there for too long. Because we were planning to be away for 5 hours rather than 3, we knew we wouldn't be back in time to do a final walk-through with her. She said that part is optional, so it would be fine. I had lent her our guest parking pass, so I just asked her to leave it on the counter and lock up when she left. When she texted me to say she was finished and leaving, I texted back to confirm that she had left the parking pass inside. She said she forgot, and offered to put it under the door. I responded after only about a minute or two saying that would be fine. An hour or so later, she texted me saying that she just got that message and was too far away to bring it back. I asked her to please mail it to us, which to my knowledge still hasn't happened yet (2 days later). Once we got home after the cleaning, it initially looked and smelled nice. The bath tubs were visibly cleaner and we were overall happy with it at first glance. However, we realized after looking closer that only a couple of the baseboards had been cleaned, and there were still some splatters on the kitchen cabinets. The dust in the corners of the bathrooms hadn't been cleaned at all. It was very clear that she either rushed to finish early or didn't pay close attention to the details. I was not happy to be scrubbing with Clorox wipes after having paid for a professional "deep clean." When the Maggy Maid rep called us for our feedback, I told her about the issues, to which she responded that that's what the final walk-through is for. I didn't say it at the time, but I don't feel like we should be required to come back 2 hours earlier than expected just to tell the cleaning person what spots she missed, and then wait around for her to keep cleaning. She should be able to do what we paid for the first time around, and not need us to check her work to make sure she did her job right. Next time, I will book directly with a reputable cleaning service. read more

My experience is the same as Grace R. posted here on 9/18/2020: the maids are fine but "it's the company I am disappointed in." Today, the morning before Maggy Maid is due here (after three previous service visits) to prepare for guests, Maggy Maid HQ phoned me three times with phony excuses to back out. In the third phone call, a male supervisor literally screamed that in their own booking form, "4 beds" means "4 bedrooms." My house has exactly three (3) beds, the same for years, and only two bedrooms need service. I said I would accept postponing the service by a day. She said she would check on this and continues to tell me that is not true. I said go to the website it shows $126. She kept arguing with me so I let her know I would go with another agency. I also liked being able to initiate the quote right here on Yelp. Maggy Maid was the first company that responded and also had availability for the short notice. The cleaner, Shannon, arrived on time and worked hard throughout the time she was there. My only complaint is that she ended up having to work a lot longer than initially estimated. I had requested that they send two cleaners because I had shutters, Craftsman wood surfaces and hardwood floors which take a lot of time to clean along with the rest of the home. The company was able to make the necessary adjustments and I was happy with the cleaning. Customer service was outstanding and communicated with me before, during and after the cleaning to make sure that things were going as planned and that I was satisfied with their services. This was my first house cleaning experiences and it was 100 percent worth it. I contacted about 6 different cleaning services on Yelp looking to clean my 2 bedroom 3 bathroom house. I was having family in town that weekend and some of my family members are allergic to the two cats I have, so i wanted a really fresh clean. Here's my experience: Response time: Maggy maid responded almost immediately to my Yelp quote request and even provided a discount code to start me off with. This was an awesome bonus and I called right away. Customer service: I spoke to a very pleasant and helpful woman on the phone and I wanted to discuss how this whole situation works. She explained everything thoroughly to me and took the time to price everything out. I asked her If there was any chance I can book a cleaning for the next day (less than 24 hours) and to my surprise she did everything she could to book me a cleaner for 8 am the next morning. Fantastic. Price: I was quoted about 5 hours for my house at a rate of 35 dollars and hour. This was one of the cheapest quotes I received that day. Extra bonus. I gave my credit card over the phone and I was told that If the cleaner completed in less time, then my price would be adjusted. The day of cleaning: the cleaner, Guadalupe, showed up just after 8am (I was given a range between 8 and 9 when she would arrive) and she was very friendly and listened to everything I wanted to focus on. She really took her time to clean every detail but still worked fast not to drag the time out. She even took the time to scrub off stains I thought were permanent on my refrigerator. She was very considerate of my husband and I still being in the house and she was fine with my pets being there as well. My husband stayed the entire cleaning time and did a final walkthrough with her. Maggy maid texted me and checked in frequently to make sure the cleaner was there and that I was satisfied with the experience. After the cleaning: I was contacted for a follow up call and was really impressed how clean my house actually was in 5 hours and how smooth and easy this whole experience was. Although the customer service was top notch - the cleaning service was terrible. What should have been a 3-4 hour job turned into a 7 hour job and it wasn't even finished. Initially ( when i was in the home ) the cleaners were doing a fine job. Finished 2 of 3 rooms and 1 bathroom within 2 hours. After awhile - the cleaner ( Lysa ) urged me and my girlfriend to leave the house so they could finish their work. I came back two hours later to find the home was in the same condition as it was before we had left. They told us to come back at 6:30PM after arriving at 10:45AM saying there was no way the job could be done until then. When I arrived at 6:20 - the job was still not finished. At 6:45 - I asked the cleaner - who was still not finished if i could start my final walk through as there were new tenants coming to look at the home at 7. She agreed but, on my walk through i found the carpet was in worse shape than it was when they entered, the mirrors had streaks, floors weren't cleaned, and when i brought it up to the cleaner - she got hostile and yelled at me and her help. I had to ask her to leave and I finished up the job as best as i could before the tenants came. One of the worst experiences of my life. The company offered an apology, but I would still stay away and search for a better company if possible. read more
