I ordered the surf and turf fries and the surf and turf burrito, and I was really disappointed with the amount of shrimp. The burrito only had 4 shrimp, and the fries also came with just 4 shrimp. For the price they charge, I expected a lot more. It's hard to justify paying that much when there are so few shrimp in each dish. I won't be coming back. Ordered off of Doordash because they had 40% off up to $10. I got the Cali Burrito original price $13.65 which is advertised on Doordash as "all the goodness of our Super Burrito, but with a twist! Packed with crispy fries, melted cheese, your choice of savory meat, fresh onion and cilantro, tangy salsa, creamy sour cream, and our signature sauce. It's a flavor-packed feast wrapped in a tortilla!" The only thing that was in this burrito was my protein of choice which was carne asada, rice, beans, maybe like four fries and a tiny sprinkle of onions and cilantro. No sour cream, cheese, or signature sauce at all. I asked for green and red salsa on the side and the green salsa had exploded beforehand, I'm assuming due to the heat and the red was just okay but not spicy and not very flavorful. They also only gave me one tiny jalapeño in vinegar and the radishes had a weird taste to them. The asada was tender but was nothing special. The ratio of rice, beans and protein were really good though, there was an even amount of everything and the tortilla they used to wrap the burrito was soft and chewy. The size is standard so don't believe the other reviews when they say the Cali Burrito is huge, it's just normal sized in my opinion. My first time trying this place (with GrubHub). I ordered the super carne asada burrito and asked for mild salsa. The burrito looked good, however, once I bit into it, it was spicy hot. Maybe that's the way they make their carne asada meat but it ruined it for me. The beef mulitas was good. That saved the order for me. It was ground beef between two, corn tortillas that were fried. 4.5 stars!! We came for the Super Burritos because a friend said they were decent. I'm always a little suspicious because it's Morada and I wouldn't actually consider this place a food mecca for obvious reasons. To top it off, Mexican food is also my favorite type of food so I know what good Mexican is supposed to taste like. It easily seats 6 people at the most (3 on each side). This food truck is located right next to the Chevron gas station if you're looking for a marker. Most people take their orders to go but it was a nice enough day to eat outside in the fresh air. I ordered a Chicken Super Burrito and after one bite, I knew that everything was on point. Tender shredded chicken that was seasoned well with mexican rice, refried beans, cilantro and onion. 1/2 star off-- *only* because I wish they had some salsa fresca in here. Love me some freshly chopped tomatoes but they didn't add them. If you're looking for good Mexican food, don't pass this place up. I appreciate that they have their menu posted online, that allowed me to take a closer look at the menu from my car and decide what I wanted to order. I was going to pick their al pastor tacos but I didn't see an al pastor rotating spit from where I was standing so I passed on the al pastor. If they do have one, I'd love to see it up in front of the window. Who doesn't love to see their meat carved up right in front of them? I chose their quesabirrias. The order comes with 3 quesabirrias + consome. Consome: it was good and not watered down (4/5) Quesabirria: (3/5) at first glance they looked beautiful and had the right color. But the quesabirria tasted more like a birria taco. The meat was a bit dry. I opened it up and it had a thin line of cheese down the middle and the rest was birria. When I dipped it into the consome, the meat fell out bc there wasn't a good cheesy seal. Iykyk. I think there's room for improvement by adding more cheese, maybe even a small cheese skirt. Super Burrito: (3.5/5) the birria meat was a bit dry. A room for improvement would be including a cup of consome. There was 1 picnic style table and a chair if you choose to sit down to enjoy your meal. They take credit cards. It would be helpful to add prices to the menu on the board and their online menu. They have a POS system but the guy with the mirror aviators seemed surprised when I asked for my receipt. Well yeah if there's no prices listed on the truck and online, then that's a bit sketchy bc they already have them in the POS. The quesabirrias weren't big so I was still hungry afterwards. We hired Fuego Taqueria based on our search on Yelp, and the conversations I had with their staff for my husband's Family Day and the launch of their Stockton terminal. Oh my gosh!! The food was nothing short of amazing and delicious, and everyone loved it! The event staff were professional and helpful whenever I asked questions.
