Wow their services hit the top list. I ordered 2 ribeye tacos to go, and they gave me in a plate. So Ara, happily packed it in a Togo box for me. The place is very clean and they are very generous with the portion. Taco price is equal to the taco trucks.

The photo just shows my receipt and that they charged $1.00 for a 16 ounce cup for WATER!! Oh, they throw a lid in with that purchase also!

I ordered a regular carne asada burrito with whole beans ($12). I also asked for a cup for water. My bill was $14.17.... I couldn't figure out how the price was so much. I looked at my receipt and saw that they charged me $1.00 for "water cup." I feel that is ridiculous!!! The burrito was outstanding though. Served hot and tasted like it was made with quality ingredients. The charging me $1.00 for a cup for water just really bugged me though. (Their restroom was also out of order)

Tacos were good! We ordered lengua, birria and tripas and were not disappointed. I got some jalapeños and sautéed onions on the side too. The salsa bar was stocked with all the necessary condiments needed to complete your taco dining experience. Service was fast, quick and friendly.

Bomb dot com!! I come here every time I'm in town to visit my family. Tacos are so good. Good amount of meat, delicious sauce & a slightly crispy but soft tortilla. Burrito is also soooo good. My family calls this the "209 burrito" I'm more of a taco girl but this place makes some bomb burritos too!! The horchata was alright. I will probably skip it next time. Service was great. Girls at the counter were nice while taking our order. Lots of tables inside. Love the sauce bar & the little area by the counter to get grilled onions & jalapeños. So good with whatever you order. Overall, I love this place & will always come back when I'm in town. No complaints from me!

Located in a strip mall off Hammer Lane. Plenty of parking. It's nice inside with a full salsa bar. They have plastic salsa containers to get your own which is nice. The register lady was not welcoming, just kind of took the order. I was handed a drink cup but wasn't told where to get my drink. I didn't know I was supposed to go behind her to pour my own drink or get the bottle out the refrigerator. They called out our order number. It took about 15 minutes which seemed longer than expected. When asked, I said yes to cilantro and onion but taco didn't come with. I had to ask for it after and no fork for the plate I ordered. Typically I don't mind but it's almost like you bother them for asking. Now for the food. Beans taste bitter like from a can. Rice tasted homemade and the chile relleno was good. I enjoyed it with the red orange salsa from the salsa bar. The one was good and spicy. The birria was good. I liked how they give you 2 tortillas on the side with your plate. Overall, service sucked but food was good.

The food was good. We ordered tacos de estilo Tijuana (4/5), a chicken burrito bowl (3/5), red sauce wet burrito (3/5), beef burrito (3/5). The beef is good, but I don't recommend the chicken. The service was average. They take your order at the register and bring your food to the table when it's ready. The ambience is like a typical Mexican taqueria. There is a self serve salsa bar (5/5). Overall, the food was decent but not worth the price. If we go back, it will be for the tacos.

The maximum occupancy is 49 people, but it felt roomier inside than that. The decor is okay and the place seemed clean overall. Service - Service was pretty good. Our server was very friendly, and service wasn't bad. The only blemish was she did not check in on refills very frequently. I managed to get one, but my wife did not. By the time she asked again, we had finished our meal and were ready to go. A pretty small blemish, and not a dealbreaker for us. Food - The food was outstanding. My wife got the fajitas and they looked great! She loved them. I got the alambres and they were fantastic. Add in the homemade tortillas (both flour and corn) and it's an easy five stars! Their rice, beans, and salsa were all good too. No complaints at all with the food. Overall, I'd definitely come back again. The food was great, the people were super friendly and welcoming, and we were able to get a table right away. It's very close to the freeway, so when coming from out of town it's an easy on/off too. Great spot!

We came here on a whim last weekend, and OMG, I'm so glad we did. The restaurant is small and not in the greatest location, but the food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. I can't wait to go back! The tortilla chips are a mix of corn and flour, which was a nice surprise. Literally everything we ordered was so good! I went with the build-your-own combo plate and chose a cheese enchilada, beef taco, and beef flautas. My entire plate was delicious, including the rice and beans. The homemade tortillas were so fresh and tasty. Everyone in our party of four enjoyed their food. We split the three-piece quesabirria tacos, and they were excellent. I chose the gravy cheese enchilada for my combo plate, but I also tried my partner's green chili chicken enchilada--both were great. You can choose between red, green, or gravy sauce for the enchiladas, and I definitely want to try the red next time. Don't be turned off by the unassuming storefront and corner location. This place is serving up some seriously delicious food, and it's absolutely worth the visit!

Then she went back to the back to talk to cooks some more, finally began to take our order then said she needed to take a call from her boss because they were having issues with printer. Had us wait more time, she went to the back again came back to register played with device to try to reset it all to then tell us they couldn't serve us. Complete waste of our time. Every time we have been here there has been so sort of issue. As a side note they rip customers off too- I like to add my own salsa so I always ask for it on the side and I've been charged for it even though I don't want extra just would normally come with food but I have seen cashier give customers dining in more salsa at counter after getting their food without charging them. It's like they just add random charges and sneak extra money out of customers getting food to go without even letting one know of the extra charges. So please be aware if you choose to take your chances here.

La Mesa is the forgotten child. When going to MT and PT it feels upscale and an experience, with excellent food to boot! But La Mesa's ambiance, food and asmosphete is just not hitting the same. I bet with some aesthetic adjustments and a shift to more upscale dining like their sister restaurants this has a lot of potential.
