I sometimes procrastinate. Last Wednesday night was one of those nights and a nightI definitely should not have! I was taking my boyfriend out to Mastro's for his birthday, and I had bought a beautiful black dress I wanted to wear but it was wrinkled from shipping and I had failed to get it pressed before the night I needed it AND it was a delicate fabric that could not be ironed... I called around frantically seeing if anyone could help me. Greenstreet Cleaners referred me here and when I called a very kind woman (I cannot remember her name) told me they could help me! I dropped my dress off around 1:45 PM and it was FINISHED by 4:30 PM. I was so thankful!! They are so kind and helpful... they even text you when your clothes are ready!! Do not hesitate bringing your clothes here!! Tips: Try to plan in advance... unlike me. Because they are very busy since they clean a lot of the clothes in the area. They are also very reasonably priced. No more than anywhere else I have gone in the Pasadena area. Meh: Parking can be difficult. Last words: I am so thankful for them helping me out. Great service and quality work! Although it was first time there and no one knew me from Peter, I was treated cordially and respectfully by (mostly) everyone. (There was one foochie face there that looked like some kind of manager, and she was prob the same one that answered the phone super rude earlier when I called and asked about deliveries), but forget her!!! That all changed when I walked in and was greeted by Koko, the owner. If you're in the Pasadena area, this is THE dry cleaners to use. I just realized that I've been coming here on and off for nearly 10 years - and never once had a problem. Even when I lived in OC, I'd still drop things off now and then. Koko is awesome - he's dedicated to his customers and his business. He takes a high level of care with your stuff, as if he was dry cleaning his own clothes... I really appreciate that! The whole team there is great and always give fast & friendly customer service. Main one being proper handling/decontaminating/cleaning a pile of smokey glitter filled post-Vegas clothes... while other times dry cleaning black shirts properly without creating shiny streaks, cracked button replacements, and of course a nice neutral smell to dry cleaned dress shirts. They are a bit more expensive than other dry cleaners, but I have to admit that they did a great job on dry cleaning my clothes and provided exceptional customer service. Some things that stood out to me during my first visit: -Excellent Customer Service from staff -Nice easy to find location in Pasadena; real close to my office -Signs that indicate they will attempt to remove 99% of stains on clothes -Email notifications when your clothes are ready for pick up I would definitely take my clothes here again. If you live in Pasadena, there's no need to look anywhere else. Koko and his team are the best! I used to live here about two years ago and had their weekly pick up/ delivery service. They always did a great job. I trust them so much that I usually just tell them "wash the clothes however you like" because I know they'll do whatever's best, whether it's regular wash or dry cleaned. I find them a little bit more pricey than other cleaners, but you definitely get your money's worth here. Big fan, fast pace so you get to watch furious floor action at play AND get shirts cleaned! Floor show is free. This place repairs broken buttons too which is a 30 minute savings to me in addition to not messing up the cloth with my lame sewing skill. Big plus to that. They are always ready in 48 hours or less which often turns to ready in 24 hours. Just make it clear at drop off if you need it fast. Also, I suggest you take a mere 1/2 nanosecond to go through each of your shirts with the intake clerk to tape the stains on your fabrics and tears. 90 percent of the time they come out perfect and perfectly ironed BTW. Only my silk ties have come back unclean-able. :( As a hint, go up the street to the grocery store north east up the street and buy something to get the Magic Cleaner coupon on the back of the register tape. Its substantial for medium size orders. If the back is blank, bring the reciept anyway because KoKo wants to honor them. He'll work his on street magic on them and clean it up at the Vons. Magic used to have great YELP discount deal but maybe it was too expensive to keep going or maybe it served it's purpose to get me in and have me sample the quality. I have yet to have a bad experience here. They are pricier than ones closer to home but I love the friendliness of the staff. I'm always greeted with a smile and my items are always ready when I need them. They were kind enough to expedite the first time I came in because I wasn't used to taking items to get dry cleaned but my son needed his suit for a Speech Tournament and I had waited too long to get it done. I've been in here a few times. First time is great because you get a discount! So if you haven't been in here, bring a few items to maximize your first time customer discount. I wanted to write a review on my last experience. I brought a pair of pants in because I had an interview the next day. They have same day service, so I brought my pants in the morning. The lady helping me said to come a little after 5pm. So later that day I came in, only for her to say that she had said the next day at 5pm. I got a little upset because I specifically brought them in for my interview. She was nice, though, and checked in case maybe they were cleaned. They weren't. So when she came back over, I just wanted to tell her that the whole reason why I brought them in was to get same day service. And I wasn't mad or anything, just wanted to let her know that I thought she had said to pick them up today at 5pm. Anyways, she was nice and compensated for the pants (which was a total of $5) and also gave me a coupon for one free item. I ended up having to wear a different pair of pants to my interview, but I guess free dry cleaning can't hurt. Also, the reason why I am giving 4/5 stars is because I'm big on friendliness and eye contact. I get frustrated when people who are helping me don't make eye contact. Personally, I feel like it's rude. Though she was SUPER respectful and compensated when there was miscommunication, I would have really appreciated eye contact. Anyways... I went to Magic Cleaners for the first time last week. I took in my best friend's white blazer that I borrowed and wore for my 21st birthday (I know bad idea, you don't have to tell me haha). The blazer managed to survive with only two small blue and red drink stains after the festivities. Once I brought it to Magic Cleaners to be dry cleaned, they greeted me right away and marked every single microscopic stain (which I didn't even see before) with a piece of red tape. They even gave me 10% off for my first time at Magic! When I arrived back for pick-up, I was excited to see a perfectly clean white blazer hanging in front of me! The best $6 I have ever spent! Always friendly and efficient. I read a lot of reviews about them being expensive, but i have no point of reference. Having many friends whose parents do dry cleaning, i never had to pay for any of my clothes until i came to california. I had a burberry downcoat to dry clean. I went to NY a few times this winter/spring, so it was time for it to be cleaned. They charged me 18 for a knee length coat with a hood. I didn't think it was too high. and they did a fine job of cleaning it. as long as i am in the area, i will bring my clothes to them. read more

Super super super super customer service I have to say is what makes this place unique. I'm not going to lie and say i've been to a lot of dry cleaning places, but compared to prices in San Diego and Orange County area, it's a bit higher, however, searching around Pasadena, i think it's about average so now it comes down to the actual work and service. I brought a few dresses to be cleaned and they helped me determine which was the best process depending on the material. I asked that they re-hem one of the bottom of my dresses as it came off. When i came to back to collect, they said that they weren't sure whether it came off during the dry cleaning or was already like that and i told them it was already like that but they still said that since it wasn't written on the ticket, that they'll go ahead and just hem it up for me for free. So so so so nice!! I highly doubt other places would do that. The place is extremely busy looking with their electric turnstyles filled with clothes but they seem to be really organized. Just an added bonus too, they have a coffee machine in there for while you wait if you are picking up clothes during rush hour and I have to say i tried the french vanilla or something like that and it's pretty darn good haha. Great customer service! Eddie is a good guy. I noticed a stain on my shirt when I was picking it up and I didn't notice it when I turned it prior to dropping it off. Eddie told me not to worry and said he'll take care of it free of charge as long as I don't mind leaving it there for another couple days! I said of course not ;) That experience was just awesome and very kind, I was willing to pay since I didn't ask for the stain to be taken off. They just got a customer for life whenever I am conducting business in Pasadena! They do a great job here also it's not just great customer service but great dry cleaning etc... Just dropped off some unique clothing pieces here and what nice and respectful service so far! I picked up my dry cleaning! They had it done much earlier, but I couldn't find the time to retrieve it till now and they've been very gracious and patient in the matter. Throughout the process they made sure to keep me in constant communication. I had dropped off some very delicate pieces and they made sure to call me when they tested the pieces and if they could continue to clean it. I also sent in a cotton lace dress that was quite stained and even though they left a tag saying they did all they could to remove all the stains but there were still some left, honestly --- I couldn't find the stains they were talking about! I've never left a Yelp review before but I haven't had such a seamless experience like I just had with Magic Cleaners that was enough to compel me to write one. I just needed a quick hem for a new pair of pants and they responded super quickly to my request for a price quote, gave me an incredibly fair price of $18, and did an AMAZING job with the invisible hem I requested. I took it in on a Monday and it was ready for pickup by Wednesday (keep in mind though, since the pants were new I opted out of having it dry cleaned as well so that may be why it was such a fast turnover). To top it all off, when I tried the pants on after bringing it home I realized I asked them to hem it shorter than I actually wanted. This was ENTIRELY my fault so I took it back ready to pay another $18 to have the length taken down an inch. After explaining the situation to them, they took it back and when I picked it up again, they didn't charge me at all! Seriously, I'm only ever coming to this cleaner/tailor from here on out. 10/10 would recommend. read more
