I just moved to Pasadena and found this dry cleaner on yelp. The dry cleaning is pretty good on time with reasonable prices, the customer service is excellent and noticeably very friendly especially by Ximena and the guy at the front (i didn't get his name) the prices are very reasonable but I brought in a bridesmaid gown for dry cleaning and minor alterations... I would absolutely not recommend getting alterations there...the lack of attention given to a minor alteration left holes in my adjustable wrap gown...she used mismatched "snaps" so the snaps wouldn't actually stay snapped together because the stud and the fastener were mismatched on the bottom! I asked her specifically would the snaps show which was my main concern, she said no. She told me that putting snaps higher would tear the fabric which it didn't at all since this was a chiffon dress by Joanna August with a thick charmeuse lining underneath and when I initially tried it on with the safety pin it looked fine. I thought she would logically place the fastener a little beyond the edge of the corner of the dress but she didn't and when I tried to close the dress the corner of the snap showed and the other mismatched snap didn't close at all. She was like when you close the dress hanging on the hanger the snap doesn't show but in my previous experience a seamstress knows that you can't do alterations by a dress hanging but by how it actually fits on an Individual person. If she would have just told me she wasn't experienced enough to do this or didn't plan on paying attention to details I would have accepted that and left with my dry cleaning. She recognized that I was pretty upset and she reconciled the problem with me; I still need to take my dress elsewhere to be fixed! I have taken sewing lessons before and have had plenty of alterations to clothes in my life and I can tell you this was done very poorly hence the deduction of two stars. read more

Brought 3 suit jackets and a dress into this place a couple months ago. When I finally took them out of the dry cleaning bag to wear again I realized that all of the pieces were just a dirty and covered in lint as when I brought them in. I had brought them in simply to get the lint off and touch up a couple of spots on the clothing, none of which was addressed. It appears as thought they actually did nothing. Waste of $30. There seem to be some good ratings for this place, but my experience did not warrant one. I wouldn't go here again. read more

They are so friendly and helpful here. I took them a shirt that I was scared to wash (it had beading) but they didn't think it would stand up to dry-cleaning. Best cleaners in Pasadena. I don't trust most local cleaners around here; you CONSISTANTLY get things back with broken zippers and missing buttons. Not with Magic though. This place has excellent customer service, superior cleaning and no issues after. They will actually fix buttons FOR you if they see it. They also offer loyalty programs that give you discounts if you send a friend. Since I can't get out to Imperial Cleaners in LA on 6th and Western, this will be my new spot. read more

I FINALLY met Koko.... HE IS FANTASTIC!!! Been living around Pasadena for the past 6 years, going to my dry cleaners in Fullerton. I had an horrible experience with another dry cleaner place in Pasadena. So after years of driving, wasting time, gas and extra for "eco fee", I decided to Yelp for help. "Koko is the best, he's a doll" ...etc. Went to Magic, no Koko, however a nice lady helped out the first time. Brought one item to test them out, satisfied :) I then brought over loads of items and met Koko. His picture should be under "customer service" in the dictionary. I had a good experience with Magic Cleaners. I brought them my wedding dress and veil to be heirloomed/preserved after my wedding. At the time, it also had some dirt spots on it from where my train had dragged on the ground. The cleaners were able to clean up my dress and preserve it very nicely in a box as a keepsake. I started coming here to get my dress shirts laundered several years ago after trying out other local cleaners. Magic dry cleaners had the best hours for my schedule, competitive prices, and very friendly customer service. I've taken my shirts, jackets, suits, and other things to dry cleaners, and they've always made sure I was satisfied. Broken button? They'll fix it. My shirt was a little stained in return? They'll keep it an extra day and fix it for free. I really can't think of any occasion when I left even a little bit unsatisfied. They have become my regular cleaners. The place itself is in a small strip mall, but there are plenty of parking spaces. They offer same day service, and pick-up service as well, but I've never used either, so I can't comment on the quality of those services. This place is great! They are so efficient. I'm in and out in 5 minutes. I brought in a medium length black peacoat in after a waiter had spilled my dish on me The guy that helped me did a very thorough job locating the stains. He found stains that I didn't even know existed ! When I told him was a new customer, he gave me a 10 % discount including a bag with miscellaneous paper inside. However, when I arrived home there was some handy stuff in there including a free falafel at Zankou. I thought it was just junk. Also, on their website they have other discounts too. Be sure to check out what works best for you. I don't dry clean much so I'm not sure on the pricing. My coat turned out to be $8.10 including the discount. The stains were removed and looked brand spanking new. I got email notifications when it was ready and there hasn't been a spam email or any other emails from them. The only drawback and minor pet peeve I have was how they greet their customers. Every time I step in, there's an awkward 30 seconds, no greeting of "Welcome" or "Hello". I'm just left standing there wondering whom do I go to until after that awkward moment that someone finally speak up and say " I'll be right with you". magic cleaners is all about service and quality. everything and anything i bring there is guaranteed to come back perfect, and i really don't have reservations about going to them if i have something important that needs to not be f'ed up by an incompetent cleaner. the only downside is that for the quality and service, you're paying a bit of premium. totally understandable, but it just means i have to be picky and choosy about what i decide can be cleaned. and i wear things longer than i probably should. yep, pretty gross. read more

I love this place! They have great prices and I know are honest since I've been taking my boyfriends clothes there and accidentally left money and they had it in a lil baggy wrapped up for me. His clothes/slacks / denim jeans always come out looking brand new. I also just love that they offer so many services. I haven't been disappointed at all. I would recommend to everyone. so, i have been searching for a dry cleaner for a while....three years to be exact and i'm happy to say that i finally have found the place. prices are insanely reasonable and service is quick! in LA finding a place with parking is tough but they have lots of it here. friendly faces greet you from the moment you enter till you leave. i dropped off a down comforter and since i was a first time customer they gave me a discount! if you tell them about yelp you get $1 off. comforter is super clean and smells fresh (not that yucky smell you sometimes get from using dry cleaners). read more

Everyone is nice and very attentive to take care of you. 2. They honestly do the best in taking out stains compared to other cleaners. Service and quality have been good. They will also put shirts on hangars you bring with you. Prices for shirt on hangar at $2.75 though are astronomical. Places in L.A. that also have on-premise pressing and cleaning (for example Pico Cleaners or Beverly Hills Cleaners) run around $1.75 a shirt. That's nearly a 60% premium for Magic. It's definitely a trade-off. read more

Besides Milt and Edie's in Burbank, this is my go to place for all dry cleaning needs. But Much more affordable. Very comparable quality of work. The only disadvantage is that they closed on Sundays. Moved to Trio Apts/Pasadena in June and starting using the Magic Cleaners pick-up/drop-off service. Thought it would be a great convenient service. First 3 months...everything fine. In the last 4 weeks, 2 designer dresses "disappeared" from my order!!! There's a thief among them!!! No one wants to take accountability (Magic Cleaners nor Trio Apts). Needless to say...I'm PISSED OFF. I only wore one of the dresses twice (just purchased in Sept), the other was my favorite Theory LBD!!
