During covid, I didn't bring my 2 Samoyed for grooming and I did it by myself at home. And it turn out their fur become so hard to brush. So I called magic groomer and Eileen the owner said she can help and ask me to Come right away too. So I came and the staffs took my dogs and few hours later Eileen called me and told me that both dogs need to get shave cause so many knots and close to their skin. I am worry cause this is winter time and they both is outside dogs so I told Eileen to help for not shaving to short. At the end when I pick them up, I am so impressed and really happy with their work. At the end only one dog got shave and the other one was able to get brush. I love this this groomer. It was our first time trying this recommended pet salon. I found it very well priced and they did a great job with my Disco's cut. He's refreshed and nails groomed nicely. This place is great. It's a small shop, but they treat the dogs well. Every time my dog goes in, he comes out pretty calm/happy. This is a good sign for me since my dog usually has separation anxiety and he gets rattled. Another thing is that I could really tell that they care about the dogs too since one of the workers got extremely upset when we didn't comb our dog when we started bringing him(we do it daily now). I showed the lady the image of it and wasn't sure what it was. I guess the owner didn't let the workers know? Not very sure. But after calling the owner, and talking back and forth, she let us use the Groupon. When I went to pick up my dog, the haircut was horrendous. Right off the bat, I noticed his uneven ears. It looked SO choppy and ugly. His chest was also super uneven. Also, they have a lot of dogs in cages that people drop off for day care. There were only two workers working when I came by. My sister asked if these dogs get to play, but they said no because they're too busy... So the dogs only get to leave their cages to pee/poop, but other than that, they're stuck in their crates all day.. |Overall| I will not be coming back. read more

Today we took our two dogs to this groomers for the first time .! We have a French bulldog and Yorky. We have tried many groomers and hands down this is the one we will always come back to . We have always asked for Teddy bear face for the Yorky and we never get the right cut. Her nails are cut perfect. Coat is supper soft. The French had the most perfect bath he was so happy !! Lucky is a 75 lb super active n strong GS , I have taken her to this place not once but always. They are the best groomers very accommodating even if you do not have an appointment which in my case I never make one but they will take Lucky with no hesitation. And give our GS only the best groom but the best brush to minimize shedding. I have adopted large dogs in the past 25 years and have dealt with very unwelcoming groomers but not at magic groomer. On December 21, 2023, I took my 3 dogs for hair cut since they didn't got hair cut for long time. I had spend $180 on my 3 dogs that days. after that days I notice one of my dogs starting to scratch on her neck and legs. This is not right. so I took one of my dogs to vets. I'm was very surprised there a cut under her throat. It was infection and probably cut by unclear blade. I was super mad. On that days, I got spend $400 on my poor dogs to vet bills. They knew I was pissed and the lady had the nerve to text me after I left saying that I could watch her security videos, which I agreed to watch. I brought my furry boy here based on a Groupon I found and i liked it. Had some communication difficulties with the worker but overall was successful in letting her know my dogs needs. I did remove two stars for two reasons, we paid $10 extra than we had planned for and it appears we did not get the grooming we paid for. The worker started combing him when she handed off to us, not sure if she had just begun or was adding finishing touches - can't say for sure. My husky had all the combed hairs left on his top coat which causes an EXTREME fur mess in my back seats. He wasn't groomed out properly which was very annoying to clean up after. Aside from small thing, it's a great place to bring your pet. They are very responsive and timely. If i could make a suggestion to the owner, please get larger cages or appropriate holding rooms. Located on the busy street of Duarte, this groomer is tucked in a not so easily spotted a between the seemingly closed shops nearby. The groomer is a nice lady whose always stepped above and beyond in terms of fitting into our schedule. She'll do her best to fit our dog, Ally, in no matter how tight the schedule seemed. Our pet is pretty skittish and would scream with the slightest touch from a stranger. The lady was always very accepting of Ally's behavior and gave her the special treatment she deserved.
