Some suggestions for improvement: 1) Prioritize people waiting in the mobile line (ALL/MOST REGISTERS should take people in the mobile line before anyone in the "regular" line). 2) Put up better signage. State that one must have the mobile app already installed and have a barcode ready for scanning. Anyone who doesn't should be sent to the regular line. 3) Better training. Make sure all representatives are instructed to follow #1 & #2. By doing so, CVS would move "easier" transactions more quickly and would incent more people to download and manage prescriptions on the app.

To my surprise, the total came to nearly $9. When I asked about the price, the clerk explained that the chocolate bar alone was $5. After checking prices elsewhere, I found the same chocolate bar selling for under $2 at other retailers. Marking up products that dramatically feels less like convenience pricing and more like taking advantage of customers. Businesses are free to set their own prices, but consumers are free to decide where to spend their money. Unfortunately, this experience left a bad impression, and I won't be returning.
