I came to get my nails done for a trip. I only wanted gel x with a french tip. I felt like I had to watch the whole thing because I was noticing little things the technician was not doing. First of all, drilling my nails hurt, that should not happen at all. It was caused by her going over the nail multiple times. Secondly, when she was doing the color for the french tip, I had to ask her to put on a second coat because of how streaky and translucent the first was. My thumb did not have the extension applied on correctly and I could see a gap between my nail and the extension. When I brought up the issue she offered to just cover the nail with more gel polish. I refused and told her I do not want water in between that space. Lastly, I asked for a blue chrome to finish, she told me the only colors they had were: white, clear, gold and silver. That was a lie, because another lady heard me ask for blue and she started looking. After looking at my nails the sides are horribly painted on. These look like press-ons. I felt like my time and money was wasted here for the worst nails I've ever had done. Could've had better nails from press ons.

Absolute rave. I went to a different nail place and the nails I got were so horrible I'm only in town for a wedding so I went to Google found magic nails and decided to try. When I tell you I showed the technician my nails explained what I wanted and she did exactly that. I got gel x, she made them nice and crisp like I wanted spent time on every step not rushing anything. I'm so happy. Super nice and professional. If you're staying in the knotts berry hotel it is super close to it as well. She spent time taking off my acrylic I had got the day before from the other nail salon and was careful not to file too much or rough to hurt my actual nails between soaking

I loved how easy it was to make an appointment on their website. I decided to give this place a try because of the high reviews, and my niece really wanted to get her nails done. The salon is in a small plaza and can be easy to miss if you're not looking for it, but they do welcome walk-ins. I booked a 1:00 pm appointment and arrived at 12:50 pm. I stood at the front desk for about three minutes before noticing their check-in tablet, so I entered my phone number. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to sit down afterward, so I waited another few minutes until someone finally noticed me and asked if I needed help. Once checked in, things moved along more smoothly. A few minutes later, my niece and I were seated in the pedicure chairs. She got a gel manicure for $30 and a gel pedicure with callus remover for $30 + $10. I got a regular pedicure with callus remover for $30 and no gel polish. Now, here's the reason for the rating I gave: not only did I wait quite a bit at the front desk, but they also overcharged me for services I didn't request. As you can see from my receipt, they charged my niece $46.35 each for her gel manicure and gel pedicure, and they even added a gel removal--she had nothing on her nails to remove. For my pedicure, they charged $41.20 and added a gel service I didn't get. The math is not mathing, and I have no idea how they came up with these numbers. Just be careful when you come here and make sure to REVIEW YOUR CHARGES. Aside from the billing issues, the staff were very nice, attentive, and their work was well done. If they can get the check-in process and pricing under control, this place could easily live up to its high reviews.

The nail tech that did my nails did a phenomenal job replicating the design I wanted. I got a gel manicure done on my natural nails. She did my nails with great care and precision, and was very careful and clean with the cuticle cutting process as well as the nail shaping process. I highly recommend this nail salon!

I loved the way Emma brought my vision to life. She is a great artist. The girls here are great listeners and I appreciated that they would always ask me and other clients to check their work if we like it to make sure our nails look exactly how we want it.

Wow, I fall more in love with this place every time I come. I got a gel manicure with builder gel, and I'm so impressed by how precise and perfect the work is. At other salons, you usually notice little imperfections right away, but this salon is truly detail oriented and gets everything exactly right. Nancy did my latest set, and I'm obsessed with how flawlessly she executed it. I also love Emma, but Nancy completely blew me away with her precision and care. Thank you for putting so much effort into my nails; they came out absolutely perfect. I can't wait to come back for my next set and a pedicure! The pricing is super reasonable, and I love how easy it is to book appointments online with clear price details. They also accept Zelle, Venmo, and credit or debit cards, which makes everything even more convenient. Vibe is nice they will greet you when you come in and help you with whatever service you need. Another plus is that they allow walk ins but it's always best to call and let them know in advance.

I got my nails done by Emma! It was my first time and going alone to the nail salon so I was a bit anxious, but the business manager was very kind and made the experience very comfortable :) I really appreciated how she took her time to pick out the best color for me based on my reference photo and also how she took her time shaping and filing my nails, even making sure to apply the gel polish evenly, going back to fix and reapplying if needed. I've had bad experience in the past from other salons where the technician was rushing and being careless, resulting in bumpy nails or uneven shapes. I'm so happy to say my nails turned out wonderfully from Magic Nails and I'm going to happily keep coming back in the future!

Got gel-x with chrome done by Emma. Im so in love!! This is my second time with her & the first gel x lasted me 6+ weeks with no gaps until I had to cut them off because it was too long. She's super attentive to details & I'm a fairly picky person when it comes to nails and she has exceeded my expectations every time. Definitely will be coming back for refills!

This is my third time coming here and all three experiences/services provided have been consistent and amazing! Every person that I've worked with is extremely thorough and detail oriented. So far I've gotten my usual pedicure & Gel X Cateye manicures. What I love is that they do their best to listen to your preferences and meet your expectation/what you truly want. They are informative and answer any questions/curiosity you may have and are transparent about their prices/services. For me personally, every visit has been super good and I truly cannot recommend this place enough! The overall vibe of the environment is a 10/10 :)

I love this place! After moving to Buena Park, it has become my go-to. Incredibly cost effective and very technically skilled. After one year of services, I have had less than 5 chipped nails or peeling gels in total. The ladies are very charming and bubbly, and are full of fun stories. The store can sometimes be filled (especially Fridays which have many regulars), so be sure to call ahead for an appointment.
