Over the years, I've brought multiple vehicles here--not only my own cars, but both of my parents' cars as well--and most recently, my brand-new car. The shop is now under new ownership, and I'm happy to say the quality of the work and customer service are just as good as I remember, if not even better. One thing that has always impressed me is how efficient they are. No matter what type of tint I've chosen or how many windows I'm having done, they've consistently had me in and out within about an hour. They typically quote around two hours, which is a completely reasonable estimate for tint work, but every experience I've personally had has been significantly quicker without sacrificing the quality of the work. They're professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and consistently do a great job. When you find a place you can trust with every vehicle you own--and feel comfortable recommending to your family--there's really no reason to go anywhere else. Can't see how this place has all those stars, must be all of his friends. Kid got amps and speakers hooked up here about 8 months ago. Complete garbage. WAY OVERPRICE FOR THE CRAFTSMANSHIP. Back speakers stopped working so I checked wire connections to 4 channel amp. Wires were over stripped and 3 out of the 4 were barely hanging on, screw was through the insulation and barely making contact with amp screws. Left door speaker wire was over crimped and hanging on by 2 wire strands. Wish I took pictures but I didn't. We payed extra for all JL audio wires and ground. But why did they choose to use garbage wire from head unit to amps. I guarantee for the price this guys charges you, you can get it done better and cheaper ANYWHERE ELSE. Step it up dude. People work hard for their money. DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE RETURNING AND WILL MAKE SURE ANYBODY I KNOW STAYS CLEAR FROM THIS PLACE FOR AUDIO OR TINTING. I do have pictures. I brought my Mini Cooper in on 4/28/25 to have the rear window retinted. When I asked Brian for a quote, he told me it would be $130. I also asked if it could be done the same day, and he explained it was first come, first served -- it might take a while, but it could be completed that day. Based on that, I decided to leave my car. This is where I made my mistake. They did not take their time removing the old tint and ended up scraping off the majority of my rear window defrost grid. When I went to pay, I noticed I was being charged $150 instead of the $130 that Brian had originally quoted. I reminded them of the quoted price, and they corrected it. After picking up my car, I also noticed bubbles in the new tint. I went back and spoke with Brian, who told me the bubbles should go away within 7-10 days. When I pointed out the damage to the defrost grid, Brian admitted it was broken but said nothing could be done except replacing the entire rear window -- an unexpected cost of around $603 (which I would have to cover!) -- and offered to retint it for free after the replacement. I was never informed beforehand that my defrost grid was at risk of being damaged -- information that absolutely should have been disclosed before starting the job. On top of that, although they advertise a "lifetime warranty" on the tint, I was not given any documentation or paperwork to prove it. While I appreciate the offer to retint after window replacement, the lack of care during removal, the poor communication about risks, the inconsistency in pricing, and the missing warranty documentation left me completely disappointed and frustrated with this business. Everything was extremely professional. I requested a quote two days before showing up and when I arrived I was greeted with friendly staff members. I requested three personal vehicles with tinted windows all around, plus two visors on mine and my wife's car. My truck got 15% all around, my wife's car got 5% & my fathers truck got 5% as well. Have had over 3 cars in 20 years tinted here but they do not remeber me? Paid $375 to tint a Prius and $50 was to remove the horrible tint I put on. Overall professional except I was told to sit in the parking lot with the two folding chairs not knowing that that is where people also drive right next to you to park-without any indication that they're part of the business ? for a customer( me) paying almost $400 for service!!! It gives zero protection against UVA, UVB sun rays & heat! Factory tint is purely cosmetic. 4 years ago I had an SUV fully tinted with 3M ceramic; VLT 70% windshield, VLT 35% windows & rear. It is phenomenal! I still can't emphasize the huge impact it makes with improved comfort & quality of life! LA is sunny & it can get HOT! Good quality all-around window tint keeps it nice & cool in your car. I had an excellent experience here & have not had any problems or issues! I just bought a new SUV, so immediately brought it in for a full window tint. I now do it to every vehicle. I chose the same highest quality 3M ceramic tint (w/ lifetime warranty); VLT 70% windshield, VLT 35% windows & rear. Brian & team did an excellent tint job again. * Warning: Vehicle original factory glass tint + tint film will create a darker resulting final tint. * TIP: Remember your SunRoof! Remember to have it tinted as well. I never even considered it until somebody mentioned it while riding in the new car. The SunRoof probably gets the MOST direct sunlight & heat anywhere on the car! None of the SunRoofs are tinted. I had to individually bring back each one of my cars to have the SunRoof tinted, because I forgot about it. - It took me more than a week to correct that oversight. When I called to report the damage, they asked me to send pictures, which I did. Upon visiting the business, the receptionist, Brian, was incredibly unprofessional. He laughed in my face and repeatedly stated that there was nothing he could do. I requested to speak to the owner or get contact information for the corporate office, but Brian refused, claiming it was a big corporation. When I asked when the owner would be available, he told me Tuesday. I just wanted the scratches on my car fixed or some form of compensation--either half of what I paid back or a full refund. Brian continued to laugh and take other calls while I was trying to discuss the issue, showing a complete lack of respect and customer service. This experience was incredibly frustrating, especially since it involved a brand new car. The lack of care and professionalism from Magic Sound & Tint is appalling.
