With our fearless tiki leader, Jeremiah
    Jenna A.

I coordinated with Jeremiah for my boyfriend's 30th birthday on Magical Tiki. He really made the entire process so seamless and all of our guests had a fabulous time. The journey was smooth, spirits were high (and flowing), and it truly was the most fun and special way to celebrate. Jeremiah's magic act also really stole the show and Captain Dom crushed it as well. I have been recommending this experience to anyone and everyone who will listen.

I went out on the magical Tiki boat and it was fantastic! Great setup lots of room very entertaining! It was about 10 work colleagues - we had enough space and time to all meet and catch up and the magic show was great! Highly recommend!

What a fun evening on the Magical Tiki cruise! We had beautiful weather, calm waters and enjoyed the sunset. Jeremiah (owner and magician) blew me away! His magic tricks were unbelievable! Lily our captain was so friendly and safely cruised us around the Marina. The boat had a bathroom, mixers (bring your own booze) and cute colorful decorations. Great music, fun new friends and all in all a great 2 hour cruise! I would definitely recommend!

We had the BEST time ever on the Magical Tiki boat!!! It was the perfect setting for our surprise birthday party. We've thrown a lot of boat parties on all different kinds of boats, and this was BY FAR our favorite experience yet! The boat itself is so cool, the bar is amazing, and the staff made the entire experience so much fun. Everything was perfect from start to finish, and we seriously can't wait to do it again!!

Magical Tiki was an incredible experience for our friend's birthday! It felt so well thought out. We took off while the sun was out, then got to see the sunset and were still out when it became night. It was nice to have the three different experiences with the lights, etc. Jeremiah was also the best captain! Everyone was so sweet, we even had @theoysterdude on board shucking great oysters. All around, a great experience and would do it again!

We checked in for our reservation at Scopa, and a manager came over to escort us to the bar through a locked door. He took our phones and gave us each a playing card to identify them for retrieval later. It was very dark inside, and at 6 pm, we were the first guests there. We were escorted to the bar where we sat down and were greeted by Oscar, our bartender. They have an extensive menu of interesting and rare spirits and champagne, which you can order with caviar. There's also about 20 cocktails for $25 each. Boyfriend wanted bourbon, and Oscar gave him a variety of 3 bourbons for a total of 2 ounces. These bourbons were very high proof, 90+ and cask strength. Definitely for sipping only. For a second round, Oscar suggested a bourbon we have never heard of: Elmer T. Lee! I ordered two cocktails: a Jungle drink with rum and pineapple, and a Singapore Sling, served in a gorgeous red paisley vintage glass, with an orchid flower and pink curlicue straw. Oscar introduced us to their collection of very cool tiki glasses. My favorite was the vintage elephant one, and it was my drinking buddy during our fun visit. Oscar is very knowledgeable and friendly and it was a delight chatting with him. His manager, Steve, has curated a great retro playlist of music, with tunes from the 60s and 70s (and probably earlier than that). I think I found one of his playlists on Spotify. As noted, the bar is small with 6 barstools at the bar, two couches and a table with chairs. Everything is mid-century modern, and you feel like you've been transported back in time. The staff kept track of time and coordinated with Scopa for our 7:30 pm dinner reservation, escorting us back to the restaurant and giving us back our phones. We had a wonderful time, and we will definitely be back. This is an expensive, high-end cocktail experience, perfect for special occasions or a luxe evening out.

The music was good and there were not many people in the place. I'm giving four stars for the benefit of doubt. I tried one cocktail and didn't care for it. I will try this place again now that I know it exists. Next time a different drink and maybe it will be a little more lively. The staff was friendly and it seems like it will be a good time. What's even more shocking was that I was driving by a place that in my eyes deserves some special attention! So espresso martinis are a thing and this place came highly recommended for them so my sugar sugar and I said, why not?? We made reservations and left a bit early because based off Google Maps the restaurant is on the corner of Manchester and Lincoln but based off my memory, I never saw a restaurant with that name! So to clear the air, it's there y'all, you just have to slow down and look. When you walk in the restaurant is dimmed and it totally sets the mood and my mood was steak!! Our waiter was super cool and we appreciate his hospitality. He asked if it was our first time. We confirmed and he ensured us that we would enjoy our experience and enjoy we did! First - espresso martinis. It was as if the bartender read our minds...they were made to perfection! Flavorful and you can definitely taste the balance of the espresso and alcohol. I ordered the steak frites and sugar sugar ordered the salmon. We always try each other's food and we couldn't determine which dish was better. The salmon was baked perfectly and the side salad was delicious! The steak had just enough seasoning so that it didn't overpower the quality of the meat. I have never had a perfectly cooked steak in my life! Ruth Chris who? Maestros where? I don't even eat steak on a regular but best believe it will be at the Manchester moving forward. As sugar sugar and I continue on our quest to try as many espresso martinis in LA, best hands down the best steak for me is here! Save me a seat!!

On top of that, I found out that this is the oldest restaurant in Santa Monica. It has so much history and is so welcomed and beautiful. I was actually really shocked at how much my children loved the restaurant. It's not marketed as a family restaurant, but my children loved the atmosphere. We had to go all around the restaurant and look at everything. On top of that, even though they didn't have a children's menu, we ordered family style, and my daughter, a six-year-old, loved the chicken Parmesan, which she had never had before. My son said it was the best burger he ever had, he is four years old and he really is a little burger connoisseur. I had the breaded halibut and the loaded baked potato, which was really yummy too. Our waitress was really wonderful and attentive, and she could really pour her wine like the fine dining experience requires. Overall, it was just a really fun and wonderful learning experience. I also loved the history provided by the owner and the Lord behind this beautiful place. Definitely a cool stop that I never knew about in Santa Monica after all these years.

I love the nautical decor and all the strings of lights and the nets, blowfish and bamboo that add so much to the room. The food wasn't as good as memory served. We started with the garlic bread. The server suggested adding marinara which was a great call. The garlic bread was probably the highlight. I had the clam chowder which was a generous portion and loaded with clams. Then I had the salad because I had to revisit the famous salad dressing. Both were ok overall. My companion had the burger and steak fries which he said were good but that he'd try something else next time. The cocktails were good and strong. There is a metered lot behind the restaurant but it was full but we were able to find metered parking on the street on a Wednesday night. The vibe and room are outstanding, service was well timed and the drinks were good but I thought the food fell a little short.
