After my child's dental appointment, my experience went downhill. When I requested a copy of my child's X-rays, I was given the runaround instead of receiving clear guidance. The staff became unprofessional and rude, and it felt like their concern for patients disappeared as soon as I needed records. What was especially frustrating is that no one informed me that I could contact corporate to obtain the document release forms needed to request my child's records. Instead of providing helpful information, they made the process unnecessarily difficult. I was also told it could take 5 to 10 business days to receive my child's records. Access to your own child's dental records should be handled in a timely and transparent manner, and that timeframe feels unnecessarily long for something that should be readily available. To make matters worse, I am still waiting for a callback from the office manager after reaching out yesterday. The lack of communication and follow-through has only added to my frustration. Parents deserve to be treated with respect, provided with accurate information, and kept informed throughout the process of requesting their child's records. Unfortunately, that was not my experience, and I cannot recommend this office based on how this situation has been handled. read more

Follow up review: Our now 4 year old returned to Magicland for a checkup in January. She was evaluated by the dentist and told she had 8 cavities. Images were taken. Unsure of the accuracy of this evaluation, we sought a second opinion and requested the images and records. Paid $40. When visiting another dentist who we were referred to by others, we found that our child had one cavity only and we're shown the records from Magicland (I knew they were from Magicland because it had their letterhead on it). They had an image of a filling that our child never received! Appalled by these events is putting it mildly. An obvious scam as there can be no other explanation for being OFF BY 7 cavities! Needless to say we won't be returning to Magicland and make sure you seek second opinions if what you're advised sounds abnormal. read more

The service was good when they first opened. Not anymore. We were there 4/18 the female Dentist wanted to do an with extraction on my son's baby tooth simply because it was wiggly. I told her no because of the holiday weekend I didn't want him being in pain. She persistent and said it would be really quick. It was still a no. I was considering doing it later because I thought it was another tooth we had concerns about. Which by the way she's never really addressed our concerns about that. Took our kids once to this dentist office (we were told they were covered by HMO from the West Coast Dental main office - they are not) and got initial exams. Had to file a grievance to get a bulk of the costs reimbursed since they used deceptive practices to get us to go there. Fast forward a year or so later. I get 3 random claim estimates (date of service N/A?) on both of my kids for a bunch of crowns, services, fillings, etc. Had to file ANOTHER grievance to get this taken off of our account. I don't even understand why they would do this, retaliation maybe? The doctor's name listed on the claims is Kereem Husain - 562-758-6193 (this information can be Googled).
