This place is an absolute BLAST! My best friend and I are both 23 and had such a fun time. MagiQuest is perfect for any age group. We stopped here on our vacation and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The MagiQuest, Mirror Maze, Pirate Golf, and 12 arcade credits were all included in the fee we paid. It was a great value for all of the fun we had. MagiQuest is basically 2 parts that are completely different. The top part is some sort of sorcerer Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Willow type stuff. Don't know what Willow is, Google it. My little brother watched that crap 3 times of day back in 1991, it's terrible. Basically they give you a wand, you point it at crap and then you are like Merlin in a Choose your own adventure book. My kids did this back in 2009 when they were 7 and 9 years old. They hated it and so did I. I guess we are just not into that sort of thing. The bottom half is pretty cool. There is a laser maze called The Vault, There is a mirror maze called Odyssey and an 18 hole black light mini golf course. The Lazer maze is the fast 10 seconds of losing your money but the kids think it's fun. The mirror maze is a blast. You can hear the kids screaming in delight as they navigate through the maze. The golf course is in the dark except for all the glow in the dark type stuff. It's a lot of fun. You can pay for each individual thing or get discounts if you buy a all 4 package or you can buy a 3 item package as we did for a cheaper price. Get a coupon brochure at a ton of places to save yourself a few bucks. read more

My friend and I weren't much in the mood to weather the heat, so we opted for the indoor mini golf course at this location. Now I wish I'd just dealt with the heat. It cost a little over $20 for two people to play, which seemed a little expensive given the length and elaborateness of the course. The decor inside was interesting to look at but in terms of play, this course is not exciting at all for adults (or probably anyone over 10 really). All the holes were very similar and mainly consisted of just little bumps and hills. Few obstacles or elaborate trick shots. Most were very short (all but two holes were par 2s) and were very easy. Granted I played golf in high school, but even my friend who sucks at golf thought it was too easy. We both each got three hole-in-ones. By the end, we were shooting left-handed or just whatever because we really didn't care. Clearly we just weren't their target audience, but even the family in front of us seemed kind of bored. The mirror maze was fun. The golf was pretty cool, pirate themed with black light. The laser vault was too short but it's laser challenge so what can you expect for a times challenge type of thing. Now for the main attraction. The magiquest is awesome. I loved the decor. It was fun and creative and we had a blast doing it. I could have easily spent hours doing it. The problem is that they give 60 minutes when you buy the combo package. The full quest stuff probably takes 4-6 hours or so. I got through three of the rune quests and two of those were the easy ones. There were multiple harder ones I needs to do and creatures to battle. So yea it was a fun twist to a scavenger hunt. Just don't expect to finish much in the hour they give, it's more of a teaser to sell you more time. I would still recommend doing this attraction. It was fun! read more

It is a bit pricey, they are currently remodeling 2 other attractions that were not available and we still paid nearly full price, $66.00 for 2 people, 1.5 hours of play, 2 wands, and a round of black light mini golf. On vacation with my parents and almost 6 year old. We had a rainy day and MagiQuest was the best value activity. And it took up practically the whole day! We all really loved the quest on the top floor. An hour flew by and we were able to finish 5 quests. I was most impressed at how into it my daughter got. The mirror maze was really fun. It was a big maze. Once we finally reached the end we chose to go back into the mirrors to play around and get some pictures. The blacklight putt-putt golf was fun. Moved along nicely and not too difficult for my daughter. We did the laser room last. It was the most underwhelming but it was the end of the day and we were all pretty tired. This was the most fun thing we did in Pigeon Forge. My husband and I are kinda nerdy, and decided to check this place out. Oh my gosh, it was so much fun. We did the ultimate adventure package which included a wand to keep, a ticket for the black light gold, a ticket for the laser maze, a ticket for the mirror maze, and of course 90 minutes in Magiquest. This was a great deal. We decide to buy an extra hour of play time more and got all the way to Master Magi before we were exhausted and decided to rest. I LOVED this place! I love Harry Potter, magic, etc. If that's you, or you like scavenger hunts, or want to get a LOT of walking, you'll probably enjoy this place as well! However, I was referring to the quest part of this place. MagiQuest also has a mirror maze, laser challenge, and mini golf! GET OUT! I know! So here we go... Let me begin with, YOU CAN SPEND AN ENTIRE DAY HERE! Anything short of four hours, well then I don't know what to tell ya, that is unless you did a single vs the combo package. This review is for the combo package. I bought a Groupon which was twenty bucks for all four attractions. Um yes, that is pretty AWESOME! When you enter, you enter straight into the "gift shop" which is not really a shop but a section. Walk along all the epic looking wands that are SURE to entice the children, and adults, and follow the path to the register. Here is where you get your tickets. Since I had a Groupon the man simply had to print my tickets. We were five ppl so we got twenty separate ticket stubs. We went UPSTAIRS to do the Quest first. When you go upstairs, turn left and you handover your tickets for this section and are given wands. Pick a magi name and voila. Wait by the training section door. **if you know you're going to do the quest, try and think of your MAGI name ahead of time, it caught me off guard and I was like uh, uh , uh, bam.** Once they have a group of ppl gathered, one of the cloak wearing employees takes the group into the training room. Here you will watch a video and the employee will explain how to go about the quests. Let me tell you, this was the reason I didn't give them five stars. IT IS SO RUSHED! I genuinely had NO idea what he was saying. He spoke so fast, made it seem so rushed, didn't even let us take half a second to breathe and look at all the cool magical things to practice on in the room. There were treasure chests that they should let you practice your wand on so that way you get the gist of it before your timer begins. That was SUPER annoying. Anyhow, he explains essentially the check in process. There is one main tv check in hub and then several in each of the rooms. You have to start at the hub so you can select your quest. From there you find clues and then "zap" your wand at a screen to see if you've completed the quest. Let me tell you, SO MUCH FUN! Overall the quest was very very entertaining. I just hate that you only have an hour and so you are rushing to collect and complete, collect and complete. By the end of that hour be prepared to be exhausting. You will be walking from room to room to room. If you really get stumped on the location of a clue, there are employees around to ask. That I did appreciate. It was not cheesy, it was not low quality, it was AWESOME on every scale. One tip, try to avoid a rainy day! Ugh! We went on a rainy day and it was SOOOOOO crowded. Nonetheless, that's just a suggestion, wouldn't miss it because of it being busy, it's that fun! Mini golf - Fun holes, beautiful pirate decorations and theme. Black light mini golfing. So fun! You choose the golf club for you and a ball, and enjoy the holes and the decor. It's a good thing for the black light, because many of the holes are missing that starting point mat with the mini holes to place your ball. In regular light I'm sure it would look rather messy with so many starting mats missing. THat was just my observation. Nonetheless, a fun course for the kids. My husband and I didn't even finish the entire course because we were so exhausted after the quest and mirror maze, lol. Just did it because it came with the package. Mirror Maze- You're given plastic gloves "to help them with their cleaning" at the end. Otherwise there are fingerprints everywhere. When you're in the maze you'll find many ppl ditch the gloves, but I can understand. It gets sweaty for the hands. You're told to have your hands in front of you and that you'll end up on the other side once you've exited. We went in, what a fun fun experience. So my husband and son managed to make it out in less than five minutes. I Have NO IDEA HOW!! I was stuck in there with the other two kids for at least a half hour, lol. But I didn't feel bad. Once you're in there you'll see the same ppl over and over again because hey, you're not the only one to get stuck in the mirror maze. That is at least reassuring. Once you do make it out, hooray for victory. There,s even a disco ball at the end of the hall, hanging from the ceiling, and you feel like celebrating! The Vault- If you've seen Catherine Zeta Jones in Entrapment, that's exactly what the vault is. Laser beams in every angle and you must get from the start of the room to the end. The faster the better. Once you exit, an employee will give you your time. I went with my son. I'd suggest if you really want to test YOUR skill, do it solo. I made it through, but my sweet son kept setting off lasers and I was waiting for him, so "our" time went WAY up, lol. read more

I would love to give them more than one star because my son LOVES this golf place. We go every year but bad customer service and over priced. I have 2 toddlers so needless to say we don't really go "mini-golfing" one was 1 and the other was 3. But my 3 year old loved the pirate golf. They told me kids where free, my son only wanted to play. But we had to pay for an adult admission when that's pretty much impossible with 2 toddlers. So we had to pay $12 for my son to play one round of golf! Absolutely ridiculous! After our round of golf I said so how much does a child pay to play golf, I believe it was $7 she said. So why did we have to pay $12 for my 3 year old!?! The poor girl at the counter clearly was working with a full deck of cards and defended their "policies" and that because he was a toddler we need to pay for an adult. But if he was a year older we could have just paid $7. Makes no sense at all. We have spent a lot of money there in the past and it's crazy they want to lose a good customer over such a small amount. If you are into wizards, magic spells, dragons and enchanted forests, then here's a great place for you. In this place you are given many quests to find jewels and stones etc. There are several quests and you may not get done within your time frame (or you can purchase more time) but no fret bc they will save your information (wizard name and quest progress) for the next time you come. You can either rent or buy your wand that you will use for your quest. You are also given a booklet to help you along your quest. When your done being a wizard, this place also has a mirror maze, laser obstacle and mini golf. I would recommend this place if you have children ages 8 and above. While trying some of the more touristy places in Pigeon Forge with some time to kill my five year old son wanted to explor "the big castle". Within a minute of entering we wer approached by a young man who examined how the place worked and what the prices would be. I found all of the staff members to be equally helpful, pleasant and unobtrusive. Their costumes were a nice touch. My wife, son and I opted for the $29.99 "do everything" package. At the time of this review we still have not returned to do the golf or vault so I cannot speak for them. I have read reviews unhappy with the cost, but that initial $30 would have covered about three hours worth of entertainment which is exceptionally cheap for the area. Once you have your wand you can return for $10/hour/person. My understanding is that if you are not playing yourself you still have to pay to accompany your child which is very unfortunate and the primary reason I am giving 4 stars vs. 5. Mirror Maze This will likely take you fifteen to twenty minutes to navigate through and is well worth it as part of the combined package. We passed a number of groups that definitely appeared lost and turned around. There are a few spots that were not difficult to find where an emergency exit was available to leave the maze in case your little one needs to reach a restroom in a hurry. You are given plastic gloves to wear in the maze so touching the glass is okay. The one turnoff is that in the center room, which is one large space with mirrored walls, there were three broken mirrors that had been taped yet still had sharp edges. MagiQuest This is likely what brought you in and will certainly be what has your kid begging you to go back for. Be warned that while you are given 90 minutes of play time on your first payment, going through everything will take several hours. That said, our son absolutely loved this and kept wanting to go back. It was not unpleasant to follow him about figuring out where to go, but he did need some prompting at times. If you appear lost one of the workers are quick to help with questions. The only real downside is that it is very crowded. While I can't fault them for being successful and most things you activate are very quick to go through their cycle, the boss fights can take several minutes. This could mean waiting in line for a while or just waiting for each member of your party to get passed that point if everyone is playing. In summary, I enjoyed the experience and our kid loved it. We made three trips in total to get through as much of the questing as we could. We have had a lot of fun on this trip, but I think this is what our son loved the most. Ended up being very cool. Being the huge nerd that I am, the moment I saw MagiQuest's castle my girlfriend knew she was in store for a few hours of torture. Ironically, I think she had almost as much fun as I did. After spending an hour running around trying to solve riddles, we realized that children were more intelligent than a couple of twenty-something's. Despite our less than magical results, we had a really good time trying. Next was mirror maze. Here we felt a bit smarter. Though still challenging, we made it out without having to call emergency services to send someone in after us. The laser maze was an embarrassment. We tried to go through it together and only proved that I'll never be a master thief or a Sam Fisher. Lastly, the pirate golf under the black lights was really fun. As far as mini golf courses are concerned, it left a bit to be desired. This was the first I had ever played under a black light though, so it did have that going for it. read more

I'm actually upset by the fact we are on vacation doing fun things and wasted money on this attraction therefore not having that money to do something that is worth the money. What a blast!! My 7 year old found the pamphlet at a rest stop and was set on going. I was very skeptical and not very excited about dropping money and time on it but he proved me wrong. We bought the $29 per person ultimate package ( $30 with tax with a $3 off coupon). This pack included a wand ( you keep for future visits), 1 hour 30 min in the Magiquest area, black light pirate put put, the vault laser maze, and the mirror maze. This makes each activity less than $10 a piece which is not to bad at all. Just be firm with your children that you are not purchasing extra add ons since this is where the price can accumulate! Magiquest is really neat and perfect for ages 5 and up. Smaller ones enjoyed waving the wands but it was more parent work. Older ones could do it on their own! We had a blast racing from room to room trying to find each item to finish each quest. There are hidden passageways and secret rooms which was exciting to explore and find. The only drawback was that it was so crowded we wasted a lot of our time waiting for other players. This area needed a little upkeep but was very enjoyable. The laser maze was very fun to watch and the pirate golf was fun as well. The mirror maze was extremely large and fun as well! We plan to go back before we leave! Well worth the $. So we paid for the whole 4 attraction package for our kids. What a waste of money. The only thing worth doing at the place is the mirror maze, which is actually a lot of fun and not easy to figure out. The kids had a blast. The upstairs is some kind of lame D&D copy 'n paste wizard quest which has a very narrow range of appropriate ages. It's too complicated for kids under 8 to figure out on their own, and any kid over about 14 will think it's dumb. The electronic wands don't work all the time and the quests are literally all "find the thing and point at the thing". They put a lot of work into it, but it was very underwhelming. The kids found the minigolf boring and were content just to hit the golf balls around. I'm not a minigolf aficionado so I don't know how it fares in comparison. The AC in this section wasn't working very well when we were there and the air was stuffy and humid. The laser maze thing was a neat concept, but it's $10 for one run through. The entire facility was dirty and poorly kept, torn and worn through carpet everywhere, trash and dust in the corners. The AC wasn't working well, and the staff were all clearly bored and unhelpful. Full disclosure - we came here exclusively for the black light putt-putt. Who could resist that, especially on a rainy, grey day? As a gigantic nerd, I also found it difficult to resist a building shaped like a castle with a lobby full of battery powered 'magic wands'. Sadly, I can also be kind of cheap - and $25 for a game and a wand seemed mighty steep to me, so I did leave here wand-less. We played a whole lot of mini golf while in TN, and while this course was not-so-hot technically, it is totally worth it for the novelty factor alone. Went with family consisting of a 14 year old and a 11 year old and two parents, it was very cheap only $100.00 total to get the combo which includes tickets to all 4 things inside. The staff where very nice and helpful, but could not help but to laugh at teenagers dressed as wizards and fairies and seem really into there character. Also you do not have to use the tickets in one visit which is very nice if you have limited time and know that you will be back in the area a month or two later. The reason I rated 4 stars was it looked a little worn and outdated. We first started with the Magi Quest, after getting the wands we waited about 10 minutes to go through training which was a little of a bummer, at first it sounded very confusing and difficult, but after the first few minutes of playing we got the hang of it and it was quite fun, the parents found it difficult and husband gave up on it after 15 minutes. But the kids really started to like it, one thing we wish they told before we started was you only had a 1 of game play and after you would have to purchase more. The kids got through 3 quests and really want to go back and do more. The mirror maze is really fun and hard. You never know which way you're supposed to go. MagiQuest, the video game, is really fun. Make sure you stick with your kids so you can help them know which room to go to. You will need the Ancient Book of Wisdom. I recommend that you buy your kids a wand and not just rent it. I'm a big D&D/fantasy nerd so when I saw this on the brochure rack on my first trip to Tennessee I knew I had to go. My girlfriend and her brother, God bless them, agreed to go with. The three of us range from about 20 to mid 30s, but we're all young at heart. We did the all 4 attraction pack for like $30 each. I should note that we were vacationing from Orlando, so we know all about theme parks and tourist traps, so the production value was a bit shabby to our spoiled eyes. Wasn't a deal breaker though. The staff was nice and committed to staying in character, which I loved. The MagiQuest itself was my favorite part by far. Think of it like a wizardly scavenger hunt or interactive World of Warcraft. We did the 60 minute game and I kind of wish we did the 90 min version. We got through 7 quests out of the maybe 15, so there's probably no way to complete them all in one visit anyway. We all used the loaner wands. I was worried they might not work well, but we didn't have any problems (plus it was way cheaper). The pirate golf wasn't that great. The holes were really easy, it was pretty hot/humid, and there were so many sugared up kids it felt more like a playground than minigolf. The mirror maze was way more fun than it has any right to be. It was disorienting in a unique/fun way and they had sweet disco music that my girlfriend was jamming out to the whole time (which was about 10- 15 mins). That was the only mirror maze I've ever been through so i have nothing to compare it to, but it was better than I was expecting. The laser maze was broken when we went. Which is actually my biggest complaint. When we bought our tickets to do all 4 things I wish they'd told us one of them was down. Pretty shitty thing to leave out. They offered to give us another round of golf or the mirror maze, but, as you read, golf was terrible and the mirror was mostly fun for its novelty. I asked if we could get some money back or even get a discount on some merchandise, but they weren't having it. I did end up buying a plush dragon anyway since it happened to have my girlfriend's initials and we were kind of bummed out. Not the best feeling to leave with (and the reason for knocking off a star), but at least it started out strong. ADVICE: If I went again, I'd just do 90 mins of the MagiQuest and skip the other three attractions. What a great deal! We have small children (age 2, 4 and 6), so finding something we can all do together, that isn't going to be impossible with a 2-year-old but will be fun enough for the older two, is a constant challenge. Plus, with young children, we never want to spend too much on something because we may or may not get the value out of it. MagiQuest met ALL our criteria. You can pay up to $40 here for the all-inclusive package that enables you to buy your own wand. We chose to just borrow wands, so spent $19.99 per person. Our 2-year-old got in free, but they still gave her a wand so she could "play," too. If you haven't been to MagiQuest, here's a little more information: the top level is like a "magical" scavenger hunt, where you get to choose individual quests, some more difficult than others. Each quest requires you to wander around and find treasures hidden around the complex. The easier levels require you to find things like a sword in a stone, which isn't "hidden," at all. A harder quest we did required first finding a secret room, interpreting the clues by the door that led us to find the "key," then going back to the secret door, opening it and finding the treasure we'd originally been seeking. It was somewhat challenging for me, but DEFINITELY challenging for my 6-year-old. The street-level floor consists of three areas: a mirror maze, black light mini golf, and a laser game, where you have to duck under and climb over laser beams, as quickly as possible, to get across a little room. (Think "Mission: Impossible). The kids loved the black-light mini golf course. It was actually my 6-year-old's favorite activity. We went mid-morning, during a non-peak time, which helped a ton. The adults could actually play the game, while the little ones explored, without us having to worry about them getting lost in a crowd. The holes themselves were pretty straight-forward, so if you're a mini golf aficionado, this probably isn't for you. But we just wanted to have a bit of fun, so it was perfect for us. Our whole family loved, loved, loved the mirror maze. Our 2-year-old thought it was absolutely fascinating! My husband loved the challenge of the laser beam room, but it was very short. He was through in less than a minute. But it was a little extra added fun. The facility was clean and well-maintained. We spent 2-3 hours there altogether, so the $20/person seemed like a pretty good value, all things considered. I'd go again. read more

Bought this on a Groupon..... had no idea what to expect... But it was super fun... Yes as stated the golf game may not be top notch but if you buy the package it all comes together and its what you make of it... The art in the Glow Golf is amazing and my kids had fun in there... The mirror maze is HARD.....but my kids rescued me so I'm good..... My kids loved the Vault Laser Maze..... The Quests we're SUPER fun and my kids already want to go back... We have been to MagiQuest on many occasions. I will admit that it has grown on me. At first I did not really understand the meaning and journey to collect the hidden items but after round two I really got the hang of it. I just lightly participate and let the boys go on the adventure. They have purchased their own wands so the initial investment can be a bit much, but since we are repeats it have shown to pay off. I would not recommend adults renting equipment unless you really want to play or compete. We have skipped on the golf, laser room and mirror maze on most occasions but they are really fun as well. Supplies and add-ons were plentiful this time which tells me that Mgt was prepared for the holiday rush. Mellow Mushroom is right next door which is convenient. read more

We have been coming here every year for several years now. They have an arcade, mini-golf (blacklight) and a mirror maze. But the main attraction is the MagiQuest game. It is a lot of fun. The challenges start out pretty easy, but get harder as you go. Essentially they give you clues to find various items and you find them using the wand. For beginners, there is a training class. And there is always staff around if you are really struggling with a clue. If you plan on playing in the future, you should buy a wand. If you know for certain that you won't play again and you don't want the keepsake, you can use a loaner wand. As I said, we play every year, so we have our own wand to keep track of our progress. In my opinion, it is one of the best values in the area. If your group plays with just one wand, it's just $10 per hour on your return visits. What we like to do is schedule this for late afternoons (when the rainstorms tend to pop up in this area) and we spend an hour or two indoors here while it's raining outside. This game is centered around fairies, dragons, knights and wizards...things that I have never really been into, but this place makes those things so much fun that I really get into it and hardly notice. read more

If your nerdy and you know it shake your wand!! It's soooo much fun! We went there twice during our vacation. There's a lot of interactive stuff going on as you journey through your quests. You only get 90 minutes at first then it's like $10.99 per hour after. Totally worth getting the extra time...in my opinion after 90 minutes your just getting started. I would go in the middle of the week unless you want to have kids, and their cranky parents trying to keep up with them get in your way. haha! The staff is very helpful and nice, and there are clean bathrooms downstairs. Decent size parking lot too. My husband and I have only done the MagiQuest portion, not the maze or golf. read more

This place was by far the best value for our money here, especially with young kids!! The mirror maze is the best one around, the lazer room was fun, mini golf was fun and the MagiQuest was awesome!! If you have kids don't bother getting wands and tickets for adults to do Quest, you'll save time and money. This was the highlight of our trip and by far the most bang for your buck!! read more
