Popped in after stopping at SWOSU. Food was great. I had the Meatloaf special and my wife had a cheeseburger with onion rings. Server was attentive and polite. Got our food quickly. Tasted great. Definitely will stop back in when we are up in the area. read more

A busy cafe atmosphere, very friendly staff, we visited on thanksgiving on our way to a family event in northern Arkansas. Their turkey and dressing was a great choice. Husband had chicken fried steak and had no complaints. They have a great selection of homemade pies. We will visit again if ever in the area. Magnolia Café TLDR: breakfast served all day, cozy atmosphere, & delicious, well seasoned, home cooked food. The people at Magnolia Café are truly kind & decent. We dined in over Memorial Day weekend & were greeted warmly with delicious smells. We ordered the Amigo burger & Farmer's Skillet. The service was prompt & the burger was cooked just as we ordered. The farmer's skillet was tasty as well but it comes on a regular plate, not in a hot skillet so be prepared for that. I will definitely be back next time we are in the area! read more

Order was screwed up. Had pork hop was tasty but dry and over cooked , had to ask for ordered biscuits only got one that tasted like it was heated up in microwave. This is the second time I have tried this cafe! There won't be a third time!! I ordered a chicken fried steak with baked potatoe, well when the waitress brought it she gave my order to my daughter which ordered chicken strips. Well it was decided it was mine which wasn't chicken fried steak. It was breaded pork with mashed potatoes! She and another waitress got orders mixed and my chicken fried steak was enjoyed by someone else. The pork was terrible as I was expecting steak! Sent order back without reordering because I didn't want to wait another 30 minutes! They blew it, I won't be back. First time there I wasn't pleased with quality of food, anyone can pour veggies out of a can and send out ready made chicken fried steak. That was probably a year ago! But that does not matter! Service is stupendous. These guys are on the ball. Friendly and accommodating. I had the Florentine omelet with cheese grits. The wife had tomato soup and grilled cheese. The cook is an old Albania guy "Uncle Dave" who makes the soups fresh every morning. You can just the love. Sal was working the bar and made us some banana pudding to take home to the kids. This is the second time I been here, the first they was very friendly but when I was getting ready to pay the lady in the front ask the lady that was ringing us up if charged us enough. I guess she thought because I had myself and three kids that's wasn't enough money. That made me mad. So then the second time I went it was good. Now the third visit we are waiting for our food and it was crowded, we didn't mind waiting for the food but the same lady that asked if we was charged enough yelled out loud to a young man working there and said "hey you boy, sweep the floor" you would think if you hired someone you would know the people name. My husband and I stopped in before heading back to Dallas and I'm glad we did. The coffee was hot and delicious, this coming from a coffee snob, and the food was excellent. I had the Florentine omelet and my husband had the Mexican omelet, both with yummy fluffy biscuits. Make the short drive, if you are at the casino, it is so worth it! We stopped by and ate around 4:30pm on April 1st. Waitress was very friendly, and food was received fairly fast. I ordered the chicken fried steak while my wife got the catfish. Magnolia Cafe is off the charts good. While it seems to be just "country cooking", it comes with twists- American tradition crossed with a little bit of Mediterranean culture. The staff is always kind and welcomes me with a smile, I am always sat and fed in a timely manner, and I haven't even gotten to the food yet! I am in LOVE with their pancakes and cinnamon swirl french toast (which I can get anytime of the day- breakfast is served all day) and I also love their cobb salad, chicken fried steak and their Mediterranean salad. I have definitely had most of the menu and it hasn't failed me yet. Great prices, great food and great people. It glows when I walk in and is an overall great environment for family and friends. I would never post something like this but people need to know what unprofessional people own a Local restaurant! I've worked for magnolia cafe for over 2 years now, worked my entire pregnancy under one of the best managers I've had! Then things changed March of 2023 it got sold and although things weren't supposed to "change" it did. The new owners think they are a cooperate business and have established a "contract" for employees. Let's not forget to mention the hours we've spent after work on a Sunday UNPAID deep cleaning the restaurant on our hands and knees scrubbing cracks or mold of their walls! Many of you know I have a 2 year old and they get sick or things happen so many times I have missed work for her or my own health because I have a chronic illness they had no concern for when I was having hot flashes and literally labor pains like on their work floor! For these missed days they had it out for me! I went on a 4 day weekend trip and on that trip my daughter got sick so like any good mom I took her to the doctor the day we got back! They didn't like that so they took over 16 hours off my schedule and put me at the minimum hours. Since then I've looked for new employment but found myself there because of the people I grew a family with geni and her family will forever hold a place in my heart! Today I came to work like any normal day and was sent to the office for a write up over "ketchup not being filled" when I walked my section the day before checking them all as they were still a quarter full as we always leave them. But for some reason that day a quarter full wasn't filling enough and to decided write me up I know my position and my worth and I refused the right up to which I was told more hours would be off my schedule. After all the tears, work and time I put into that place I felt it was my time to leave. No person should ever feel not wanted at their place of work and that's how I felt everyday walking in. *edit to add* Their sister restaurant is mead cafe and it is just as bad or worse I've heard many stories of their "manager" Mary yelling at the servers to the point they cry, glad she never tried that on us and do child labor laws not apply when their own child is up there helping their daughter serve and buss? read more

I took a group of students here for lunch. We had 21 in our group. We called ahead to let them know we were coming and they had our tables ready within 5 minutes of our arrival. Our waitress, Savanna, was very patient with my students and attentive. Our food arrived fairly quickly for the number in our party. I had the club sandwich and it was delicious. The restaurant was relatively busy, but my service was prompt and friendly. I was dining alone and they seated me at a relatively small table, but there was sufficient space to eat. The manager came by and checked on me, as well as various servers offering coffee refills. The biscuits were very light and fluffy (unusual for many restaurants). This place had good reviews on here so we thought we'd check it out while in town. It's just your basic older cafe type food. It wasn't bad but not great either. They did have Mickey Mouse pancakes for the little ones so that was a nice touch. While here we ordered chicken fried steak, club sandwich, hamburger and a pancake. I would probably rate everything about a 5 outta 10. Again it wasn't a bad place but I'm not sure If we will go back or try something new next time we visit. read more

We stopped at Magnolia Cafe on our way back to Texas from Arkansas and were very pleasantly surprised. The service was incredibly friendly, and the food was great!
