Magnolia Pho is one of the best phos in the Seattle area! As of the time I've made this review, I've went twice; I got the Monster Pho once and the Bun Bo Hue once. Both are fantastic with a large portion of super tender and flavorful meat. I do think that the BBH is quite a bit better than the Monster Pho though as the infusion of the lemongrass and chili in the BBH gives the broth so so much extra flavor that really pushes the pho to another level. Service is pretty average here, I did once go in at like 9:30pm but they wouldn't serve me because the kitchen had closed by then. The interior is also pretty dimly lit, similar to Pho Bac it kind of matches the vibe of the area (though it's definitely less sketch since it's not directly on Rainier Ave). 4.7/5 read more

Crab Rangoon!!!! Now that I have your attention I wanted to say that this is my first time at Magnolia Pho and I loved it. The vibe is very cozy with warm lighting and warm colors- big tables for large groups and cute booths for pairs of or single guests. I really like how we have so many Vietnamese restaurants in the area that each offer their own vibe. The menu has a lot of variety outside of pho and woven vermicelli which I haven't seen before. Also CRAB RANGOON which is a guilty pleasure to save for new experiences! Their Crab Rangoon is very good and very rich, but deep fried well without being oily. My partner had the lemongrass tofu vermicelli bowl- the way they prepared the tofu was fantastic providing two great textures in each bite of tofu. I had the beef combination pho which has ribeye, meatballs, tripe, n tendon. The brother was complex, the noodles were perfect (some places they stick together at the start) and the chili at the table looks hotter than it is, but it adds some nice flavors. I ordered the bun bo hue but they ran out of the bbh noodles and the server asked if I'd like to order something else or sub the noodles with pho noodles, which I did. The food itself was just average. I've definitely had better elsewhere (also tried my friend's pho) and that was just average as well. Overall ambiance is nice, modern. I've been here a couple times and every time I've enjoyed it. A couple times I've gotten the raw steak pho. This is pho where the heat of the broth cooks the meat. It makes for an excellent texture and very fresh tasting beef. The broth for this pho is also excellent. Another time I got the vegetarian pho. They put this delicious tofu in it that has mushrooms and noodles embedded in it. If anyone knows what this is called, please let me know. The vegetarian pho also comes with lots of different veggies in it. The broth is pretty good. The ambiance inside is great. There are cute little booths and tables. I was looking for a non-expensive Vietnamese place (all Vietnamese food seems so much more expensive these days!) and my sister recommended Magnolia Pho, very non-assuming from the outside. The food was quite good, everyone in my group enjoyed their meal. The staff was super nice as well, she was quite patient with us since we were taking awhile to decide. Plus side, there is some parking right out front, I do appreciate free parking. If you need something you push the button so that's a plus every time for me. My bf wanted pho and he automatically was drawn to the name "monster pho." It's the combo pho with a beef bone. What a hidden gem!!! The restaurant looks shady from the outside (due to some construction on the block?) but it is kinda cute and comfortable inside. We were a group of 6 coming in on a Saturday night and got seated very quickly. Ordered a few dishes to share family style - my kids loved their chicken pho and grilled pork chop vermicelli! Service was great the gals didn't rush us at all and they let us sit wherever we want. An absolute hole in the wall, you wouldn't suspect it but that great pho would be Inside. It's quite cozy inside with clean bathrooms. We got the lemon grass chicken vermicelli bowl, the chicken pho and a tendon/tripe pho. The pho broth was very refreshing and bright while still being full in flavor. I liked that there was only one size and it takes out the guess work. I came here after hearing good things from a friend and seeing some positive reviews online. The place is small and cute, but when we first walked in, there was a weird smell that lingered for a bit. We were greeted and seated quickly, but it did take a little while to get our orders in. It wasn't super busy, so maybe they were short-staffed but just something we noticed. For food : We ordered 4 pho dishes, but they let us know they were short on brisket, so we had to adjust our order. We went with 2 orders of meatball-brisket pho, steak-brisket pho, and a combination pho. One of the phos had noticeably fewer noodles than the others. The taste was okay, but honestly, I wouldn't come back just for the pho. We ended up leaving 3 out of 4 bowls unfinished. On the positive side, the spring rolls were really good- super fresh, and the sauce was good too. We had two orders of this. The banh mi was also pretty solid. It's not going to be my go-to spot for banh mi, but I enjoyed it and would order it again if I returned. I'm curious to try their pork and beef banh mi next time. Drinks We ordered two milk teas. Mango and taro (not pictured) both with crystal boba. Both were pretty good, no complaints there. Price The total was around $130, which seemed pretty fair considering all we ordered. For those who enjoy the food, the price is definitely reasonable. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to return, but if I do come back, I'll definitely be getting the banh mi. Ordered Pho to go over the phone, because I notied if you ordered online the price was higher. Their Pho had a broth that was very tasty. It was a generous portion of broth I had enough to add extra noodles to it the next day. It didn't have the normal noodles I'm used to, but they were still good. I came in here on a cold Seattle wintry day looking for something warm to hit my soul and this bowl of Pho delivered! The special bowl of Pho was flavorful and the beef tasted great. I also had the Thai green tea lemonade and that was refreshing for the throat. The restaurant feels clean and inviting. My favorite part is I know I won't smell like pho or food when I leave because they have a great hood system apparently! I can tell. I hate it when I go into a Vietnamese restaurant and it's foggy/humid in there because there is not enough ventilation (UW the ave pho shops) and I smell like pho the rest of the day. So good!!! My daughter and I were craving Pho so I headed to yelp to find a good place. I'm picky about my pho! Magnolia came up with great reviews so we headed to Beacon Hill to come to Magnolia. We were not disappointed!! Ahhmazing!! So good and fresh and the portions are huge!! I had leftovers for days! It is beautifully decorated. My daughter and I sat in a really cool booth with pillows.
