    Chappli Kabob Pizza

This pizza lived up to the hype! Everyone told me this is the best pizza in Indianapolis and I loved it! We tried the chicken tikka and kebab pizza which are not your traditional pizza flavors. The kebab was a little spicy (so good in the ranch), but the chicken tikka stole the show! Don't forget sides of ranch because they have great ranch. I got carry out but there are plenty of tables to dine in.

Dean Johnson, my grandfather, owned a TV store and subsequently many VHS tapes. It was in his living room that Mister Magoo gave me heart attack after heart attack, being the most negligible blind man to walk this earth. This California Pizza kitchen is anything but. Magoo's curated this Chicken Tikka pizza without blunder or stumble. It's a speciality pizza that doesn't ruffle conventional feathers, like the abominations that Cheeseburger pizza might. Inside this strip-mall's den of doughy discs lies a dining area that is comically long. Way too few tables fit way too big of a space. Neon "halal pizza"signs aren't one you see often, nor the reason I came, but it's definitely a draw that competitors cannot match. Cheers on cornering the market yo! Albeit not a spot I'd drag folks to, this slice of Indy is one worth an occasional rotation for those in the area. Here's to personal pizzas on sunny days.

We ordered to go Pizza from Magoo's California pizza for a weekend get together. I knocked a star off cause the pizza itself had a lot of oil dripping and while I love greasy, cheesy pizza I didn't expect oil stained fingers while chewing a pizza. Overall the size, portion and taste were ok but I couldn't figure the intent behind so much oiliness. It possibly could have been one of those days so I will try Magoos again before I decide for sure this isn't my type of pizza.

First time here at this strip mall pizza place and it was amazing! Came in and there was nobody in the building except for the workers. It was a very basic, unassuming interior with some tables and not much else on the walls. We almost walked away because the place seemed dead. We decided to stay and opted for the medium size pizza for 2 people. They let us split the pizza in half to try 2 different flavors--chicken tikka and beef kabob. As we waited, the crowd inside grew and grew. People were coming in and out for take out and more people were ordered for dine in. By the time our pizza came, the place was packed with such a diverse mix of people--very representative of the neighborhood. The pizza itself was fantastic. Both the chicken tikka and the beef kabob were delicious. The beef was our favorite and each bite of beef was packed with flavor. Even the crust was perfectly crispy and tasty. Easily my favorite pizza place in the city!

Passing through town on a road trip, we stopped to grab a bite at a local spot. This place hit the spot! Delicious pizza, good service, and friendly staff.

Chicken Tikka Pizza with white creamy sauce

The place is basically a take out but there is a seating arrangement if you want to enjoy hot food. The chicken tikka pizza with white sauce is hands down the best! Ask to make it spicy by adding jalapeños. The mere smell of the pizza is so appetizing that you can't resist!! Try it sometime. The service is great-as I was picking my order, someone got the sauce wrong and they gladly made another one for them.

My husband and I have a goal to try all the pizza joints in the city. It's a really tough goal, but someone has to do it! (LOL). We therefore drove thirty minutes out of our way on a dreary Sunday night to Magoo's, a place that we'd heard friends rave about. I ordered ahead on their website and selected a mini chicken tikka pizza with the white garlic sauce base, a large cheese pizza, and a side of their seasoned fries. If you're coming here, you have to try the chicken tikka pizza, as that's what they're known for. It's so unique and delicious. It comes with chicken, onions, green peppers, tomatoes, chicken tikka, and a white garlic sauce base. It was seasoned deliciously and we both enjoyed it. The cheese pizza also had an amazing flavor that we both loved. The friess were some of the best we've had, as they're coated in a flavorful seasoning that's not spicy; just amazing. A few more pros: + They make handmade ranch sauce to dip your pizza into + They offer gluten-free, dairy-free, and halal pizzas + They deliver within a certain range + Their staff was really kind + The online ordering system was super easy + You can order toppings on half the pizza and not the other half We'll be back for sure!

I feel like these halal California pizza spots are the best kept secret in town! This Magoo's location is no exception. It's open late, their pizza is a bargain and it's very good! I phoned in my order late on a Saturday night (~9p) and was quoted half hour wait time. I arrived and there were several people inside waiting for their orders. The cashier was quite friendly and efficient despite being busy, and overall the place was clean and bright. There were several tables and chairs inside, but the chairs were all turned upside down on the tables. I'm assuming due to the late hour they don't encourage eating in? That's speculation on my part, though. My order was ready for pickup in the time specified. $16.34 for a medium veggie pizza...good deal! The crust is more of a hand tossed style, not too thick or thin. You have the option of white garlic sauce or traditional red sauce, as well. They don't skimp on toppings, either! I'll be back for more halal California style pizza again soon.

We ordered a half-and-half pizza with the Spicy Bee on one side and the Bazbeaux Special with pine nuts on the other. Everything was delicious. It's all made fresh to order, so it took a bit of time to come out, but that's exactly why it tasted so good: fresh ingredients, a crisp thin crust that stays sturdy under the toppings, and great flavor throughout. With many toppings to choose from and a good beer and wine selection, there's a ton to explore here, and it's very vegetarian-friendly, too. The service sealed the deal for us. The staff was extremely friendly and kind, and our waitress was the highlight. We ended up staying a little past closing and started to rush, but she reassured us to take our time and enjoy the meal instead of feeling hurried. That kind of genuine hospitality goes a long way. Cozy, casual atmosphere, excellent pizza, and warm service in the heart of the Mass Ave arts district. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend.

I wish they had supplied more au jus or a wider container for it. The fruit tasted nice and fresh as well. This was an expensive meal at nearly $100 after tip, but I can see myself coming here again someday. Just not very often due to cost. A little soggy with butter but I mean.. it's butter. Is that bad? Dipping cheese was better than your standard stadium nacho cheese. Chopped salad was very fresh. Not the most interesting but still good. Hot Honey chicken wings were clearly freshly battered and fried. Incredible. Very similar to Korean Fried Chicken. Alcohol: Beer and wine option were good. Could use a couple more wine options. Beer and wine had a great range of styles and prices. Bar looked very well stocked for mixed drinks or drinking neat. Service: Staff was kind and helpful.
