Ordered the Chicken Tikka pizza with garlic sauce: the veggies were fresh, the cheese had great pull, the crust was soft and flavorful, and the best yet: that SAUCE! It's good, but I'm surprised the reviews are so high. It tastes like Domino's....but they also have Indian options like chicken tikka. (Sorry, this is California pizza? lol) I placed an online order. I arrived at the estimated arrival time, but I had to wait 15 minutes because they were so busy on a Friday evening. The guy at the register had to stop to answer the phone every few minutes so everything was way too slow. The staff was really nice though. If you want to try Magoo's, go during off-peak times. The restaurant is kind of dingy; it has about six tables. The majority of the customers were ordering to-go. Magoo's is in a strip mall where two businesses have been shot at in the last week. This pizza lived up to the hype! Everyone told me this is the best pizza in Indianapolis and I loved it! We tried the chicken tikka and kebab pizza which are not your traditional pizza flavors. The combination of Indian ingredients on pizza is genius. We tried the Chicken Tikka Pizza. The crust is Chicago style with a ton of topping. The sauce was creamy, tangy and hot. There was a lot of cheese. Bits of chicken, tomato and other vegetables permeated the sauce. We loved the pizza and a small size is plenty for two people to share. The clerk was friendly and engaging. He checked on us to see if we liked the pizza or needed anything. The pizza didn't take long to come out. The dining room is somewhat stark and dated. Most people order carry out. There are about a dozen tables. The beverage selection is limited to prepackaged sodas and juices. There is plenty of parking in the strip mall. It was in his living room that Mister Magoo gave me heart attack after heart attack, being the most negligible blind man to walk this earth. This California Pizza kitchen is anything but. Magoo's curated this Chicken Tikka pizza without blunder or stumble. It's a speciality pizza that doesn't ruffle conventional feathers, like the abominations that Cheeseburger pizza might. Inside this strip-mall's den of doughy discs lies a dining area that is comically long. Way too few tables fit way too big of a space. Neon "halal pizza"signs aren't one you see often, nor the reason I came, but it's definitely a draw that competitors cannot match. Cheers on cornering the market yo! We ordered to go Pizza from Magoo's California pizza for a weekend get together. I knocked a star off cause the pizza itself had a lot of oil dripping and while I love greasy, cheesy pizza I didn't expect oil stained fingers while chewing a pizza. Overall the size, portion and taste were ok but I couldn't figure the intent behind so much oiliness. Was home sick and newer to the westside's pizza joints so decided I'd give Magoo's a try. Worth it. I love wings so I had to try theirs. I always order them plain to truly gauge if the wing is truly good or not as you can mask a lot with sauce. They're baked, a little dry, but not bad by any means. Good sized and plenty of meat on each but nothing special. For the price I probably wouldn't get them again and venture towards one of their other many apps instead. That's the one star off as I've definitely had better wings at other pizza places. As for the pizza, I went with the gluten free, comes in 8 slices, Hawaiian so that's with pineapple, chicken, and bacon. This was really good with plenty of each topping on each slice. I reheated the other half in the air fryer the next day and it reheated perfectly. Big fan and will be getting Magoo's again to try the other combinations they have. read more

This pizza was closed to cold dominos than to anything enjoyable. Sauce is bland, crust is soft, toppings are few and far between. First time here at this strip mall pizza place and it was amazing! Came in and there was nobody in the building except for the workers. It was a very basic, unassuming interior with some tables and not much else on the walls. We almost walked away because the place seemed dead. We decided to stay and opted for the medium size pizza for 2 people. They let us split the pizza in half to try 2 different flavors--chicken tikka and beef kabob. As we waited, the crowd inside grew and grew. People were coming in and out for take out and more people were ordered for dine in. By the time our pizza came, the place was packed with such a diverse mix of people--very representative of the neighborhood. The pizza itself was fantastic. I feel like these halal California pizza spots are the best kept secret in town! This Magoo's location is no exception. It's open late, their pizza is a bargain and it's very good! I phoned in my order late on a Saturday night (~9p) and was quoted half hour wait time. I arrived and there were several people inside waiting for their orders. The cashier was quite friendly and efficient despite being busy, and overall the place was clean and bright. There were several tables and chairs inside, but the chairs were all turned upside down on the tables. I'm assuming due to the late hour they don't encourage eating in? That's speculation on my part, though. My order was ready for pickup in the time specified. $16.34 for a medium veggie pizza...good deal! The crust is more of a hand tossed style, not too thick or thin. You have the option of white garlic sauce or traditional red sauce, as well. They don't skimp on toppings, either! If you're coming here, you have to try the chicken tikka pizza, as that's what they're known for. It's so unique and delicious. It comes with chicken, onions, green peppers, tomatoes, chicken tikka, and a white garlic sauce base. It was seasoned deliciously and we both enjoyed it. The cheese pizza also had an amazing flavor that we both loved. The friess were some of the best we've had, as they're coated in a flavorful seasoning that's not spicy; just amazing. I personally do not eat pork for solidarity and overall health period with that being sad it is really cool being able to order from a restaurant that you don't have to worry about they're being pork on your pizza because they don't sell pork. Everything for the most part is beef and it is very good. I would say the only thing I don't like about the pizzas are the red sauce. It's too sweet for me personally so when I order again, I will be ordering the tikka masala pizza or one of the specialties without the red sauce. Other than that absolutely no complaints. Other than the fact, I would not recommend ordering it through GrubHub because I think the restaurant argues with GrubHub when they forget something. I had ordered some cheesy bread that I was really excited to try and I didn't get it and I tried to get a refund through GrubHub that didn't work which it usually does and then I called the restaurant told him what happened and they were happy to give me a refund, but I never got the refund because it was a third-party refund. Anyway, I hadn't had any issues until the last time I went and I still really wanted my cheesy bread but maybe some other time. read more

I came to this location about 5 years ago, and I literally just went again yesterday and it was just as good as the first time. We got the chicken tikka pizza, a half chapli kabab, along with the half meat supreme pizza. I remember I loved the magzone, which is a calzon, and so I ordered one with Italian sausage. Since we were driving up from Texas to Michigan, and I wanted to make sure we got food on the way and had my order written a few hours before even reaching here. I know I got a bit greedy by ordering so much, but I have been waiting to come to this place for so long. It did not disappoint! We were able to use the restrooms which were clean, pray, and get our meal. They gave me I crushed red pepper on the side, plates and napkins, and I bought way too much ranch but I don't regret it because I was amazing. I have literally nothing to complain about, and that does not happen often, so thank you so much to this establishment for being the ideal pit stop! No wonder this place has such great reviews, and it has great reviews on EVERY platform. Customer service is excellent & the chicken tikka pizza is the BEST pizza I've had in years. I was doubtful because I'd never had a pizza that didn't have tomato sauce as the base but I went with the recommended sauce and it was delicious. So savory, baked to perfection (not soggy or burnt) and the Medium is enough for 3 people. It's just a gorgeous pizza to even look at, let alone to eat. They've found a customer for life out of me, and I'll be sending everyone I know their way. Ive been told for months by so many locals that this is the pizza place to try out and I'm only mad at myself that I waited four months to try it! I'm half Indian and my Indian side was so thrilled by the Indian flavors of this pizza. I couldn't decide which pizza I wanted to try so I decided to do two different flavors. The chicken tikka had a white sauce base, which was creamy and garlicky. The chappli kebab definitely topped it off for me. I absolutely loved the Indian spices in the meat and the subtle spice to it. I finished the whole pizza, and yet my stomach is still rumbling from wanting more! Magoo's is different. Their special white sauce is so good on any pizza. Delivery is sometimes a little slow, it really depends on the day, but usually takes longer than a typical pizza delivery. However, it tastes way better than like a Pizza Hut or papa John's. read more

In the past I bought pizzas from Mogoo's in Avon, IN. Since moving to the Westside of Indianapolis I tried ordering from the Mcgoo's on West 38th St., and was extremely disappointed with the service that I received. I arrived at the time that I was quoted on their web page, and received a message that my order was ready. My pizza was not ready upon my arrival. I was told 12 more minutes. Finally 25 minutes later my order (pizza and garlic bread) was finally ready. No apologies for the lateness on their part. This was over 45 minutes after I ordered!
