Reviews on the staff are spot on. Incredibly rude, got transferred a couple of times and placed on hold on several occasions just to simply make an appointment. Don't dare to go beyond that simple task because I did. I asked them for an estimate on the cost for a consultation. They kept repeating that they wouldn't know until the day of the visit. Okay, simple consultation I tell myself but I'll play... I said I'll push back the appointment if that's what it takes for them to get an estimate. They gave me an outrageous range of $200-$600 for a consultation. My reply? How can this range be so far-fetched when many doctors and generally specialists in any field provide free consultations? They respond saying that they won't know what procedures will occur on the day of the appointment. I tell them, "well, I'll make it simple for you. I won't have him perform anything because this is strictly a verbal consultation." They place me on hold again and this time to give me a range of $100 to $300. Okay fair enough. They have crazy rude staff members that aren't all that helpful. However, I highly doubt it's ALL them. Someone did hire these folks and gave them instructions. The pay scale alone should tell you this office and doctor are a rip off. Then again, the (almost) entire American health care industry is criminal. They'll rob you blind and have no recourse nor protection. Good luck at having them cure what was ailing you in the first place. I digress. This office sucks! read more

Dr. Sesi is an Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist in Torrance. I have been sent to him twice by my pediatrician. I find that he is honest and reasonable about your needs and won't push surgery on you unless it's absolutely necessary. He personally arranged to fit me into an already full schedule before year end due to my insurance deductible concerns. My father does not like doctors. As far as he's concerned, they don't know anything, and he'd just as soon never go see one. It thus came as quite a surprise to me that after seeing Dr. Sesi he had only good things to say about him. In particular, he praised Dr. Sesi for the amount of time he took with him and also for how personable he was. What I can personally attest to is that Dr. Sesi did such a good job removing the wax from my father's ears that I no longer have to shout to be heard, and for that I am most grateful. read more

This negative review is a wake-up call to Maher Sesi to fire his office manager and replace the sadistic creep with someone who actually supports patients rather than torturing them. My 14 year old recently had a middle ear infection that wasn't improving after regular antibiotics and drops. I was referred to Dr. Sesi and I'm very thankful for that. Even though the doctor didn't have any availabilities, the appointment receptionist went out of his way to get me in the see Dr. Sesi at his San Pedro office that same day-he was very sympathetic to my concerns for my son. Dr. Sesi was great!! He took his time to evaluate my son and explained everything in detail. He was easy going and patient. Gave everything my son needed to remedy his infection. The following day, my son was still feeling pain. I called the office and the staff was really helpful. They said the doctor wasn't in but would leave a note in regards to my questions. Dr Sesi returned my call within a couple of hours and answered all of my questions! He went above and beyond and I feel the office staff was absolutely helpful as well. Dr. Sesi performed my son's tonsillectomy, tubes and adenoidectomy. He was fantastic. The only reason I gave him 4 stars was because on multiple occasions we had to wait almost an hour past our appointment time to see him. I wish I could post negative stars for this guy. I've heard he's a decent surgeon but his front office is so incompetent they couldn't get approval from my insurance company in time for my surgery... and they had TWO MONTHS TO DO IT! But worst of all, they lied to me. I would talk to my insurance company, then call their office and the stories didn't match up. When I said, "That's funny, that's not what the insurance company just told me," then suddenly their stories would change. I don't think anyone responsible for your healthcare should lie to you. Ever. The front office employees are rude, lie, are disorganized and incompetent. And worst of all, I had several conversations with Dr. Sesi about it and he was 'shocked and surprised' every time. He behaved as if it was the first time he'd ever heard anything like it. I canceled my surgery and went to a Dr. Payam Daneshrad instead and had a very positive experience. When I went to Dr. Sesi's office to pick up my file, there were several random people in the hallway complaining about the front office. Maybe you'd wonder how much it matters? Well, it cost me a couple of vacation days, hours on the phone talking to my insurance company (who were surprisingly cooperative) and then talking to Dr. Sesi's ridiculous staff and worst of all, my health suffered because of the delays. When someone lies to you how can you trust them with anything? Save yourself time, money, aggravation and poor health... go elsewhere. read more

The absolute worst. He performed two surgeries and still couldn't fix my issue, even though he assured me that the second surgery would absolutely work and allow me to breathe normally afterwards. When it didn't work, he then suggested that I go see a nose specialist at UCLA who he said is the best! Dr. Sesi IS supposed to be a specialist. I had an awful experience. I would suggest going to the "specialist" and the "best" at UCLA, and don't bother with Dr. Sesi. He's a fraud. read more

Dr. Sesi is an excellent doctor. He helped our middle son with Eustachian tube and adenoid issues. More recently, he helped our younger son with similar adenoid issues. My husband and I have also been to see him for allergy, sinus and ear issues. He is patient, kind and compassionate. Have no idea if Dr. Sesi is great or not because we never made it past the RUDE PERSONNEL. My son was referred to Dr. Sersi from the ER last night. When I called to schedule an appt. the next morning she told me there was a 3:15 opening now so it was that or they wouldn't be able to get him in for 4 weeks!!! There was no way for me to get my son there at 3:15... I explained this to her but she didn't care. This is after Dr. Sersi himself assured us they would work us in. Well considering we were in the ER the night before this was unacceptable. We found another place that helped us. I highly recommend Dr. Steven Davis's office. Dr. Sersi, you need to fire some of your staff before they ruin your reputation!!!! read more
