Dr. Eapen is an absolutely incredible ENT and our family is beyond thankful for her. She was able to see a swelling behind my 9 month olds ears and knew that it was something that we needed to go straight to the hospital for. She was thourogh, smart, direct, and had a wonderful demeanor with kids, which is important when they are going in for something that could be scary. She performed surgery on my son with wonderful results. She articulated necessary pre/post/during procedure steps clearly to us, and we felt very comfortable in her care. I can't recommend Dr. Eapen enough she is just the best! My son was allergic to antibiotics and we needed to find an ENT to get ear tubes inserted, Dr. Easpen was very kind and made my son feel comfortable. So I'm so sad that she no longer accepts our insurance and I now need to find a new Dr. for my daughter who turns out will also need ear tubes as she is also allergic to antibiotics. read more

We were concerned about our baby's breathing since she was wheezing and gasping. We had an appointment for the end of August but thankfully there was a cancellation and we were able to be seen this week. Dr. Eapen was extremely organized, thorough, and clear. She asked us questions and kept us on track with sharing details since we were definitely just rattling off everything we could remember about the condition. She clearly explained her process and reasoning with a great deal of professionalism and warmth. She answered our questions and reassured our concerns. She examined our baby and didn't see any need for further procedures, just recommending that we watch for any patterns or major changes in behavior. Dr. Eapen was great. My son has had a problem with abundant ear wax, and I thought I was going to Dr. Eapen to get it cleaned out. My son's ear canals are hard to see into, so I couldn't tell how effective my treatments were. It turns out, what I had done had worked!! There was nothing to be done when I went to the office so Dr. Eapen sent us home - no charge. She did look in his ears, nose, and throat and her bedside manner was warm and kind. Dr Eapen did an amazing job for our 11 year old daughter. She had 11 years worth of black ear wax and Dr Eapen was able to get all of it out. She was very professional, personable, friendly, and kept her our daughter calm during the entire time - all while sticking sharp tools deep inside her ears. Back in September, based on his therapist's observation, I took my son (twin 2) to Dr. Rose Eapen to consult about his tongue tie. During the visit, Dr. Eapen confirmed that he indeed had a tongue tie and suggested a procedure to take care of that. It's impeccable. We've got the procedure date set for mid October. The procedure was as smooth as it could get. Dr. Eapen explained the pre-op and post-op in detail well ahead. The procedure went well. After the surgery, my son resumed his regular diet after a week of soft diet. We also started the recommended exercises. Three weeks later, his tongue range of motion improved a lot. Now he is learning to use his tongue effectively in eating hard-to-eat foods (picky eater). I owe a huge appreciation to Dr. Eapen for the care and support during this whole process. It's remarkable to come by a highly qualified surgeon/doctor to be down-to-earth at the same time. We are grateful! My 12-year-old son has had a series of ENT-related issues since he was a baby, including multiple surgeries and ear infections. We moved to the South Bay several years ago and have tried, unsuccessfully, to find a local pediatric ENT who was responsive, qualified or even available. It was very frustrating. Recently, my son came home from school with a lot of pain in his ears and eyes. It was the Friday before Labor Day weekend, so we spent hours of failed attempts to get a doctor through our pediatric on-call. The next day, we waited 6 hours to be seen at urgent care, where he was treated for a basic ear infection. By Sunday, my son's symptoms increased to include swelling, discharge and excruciating pain. This led me to a frantic, late-night google-dive and my discovery of Dr. Eapen. She had amazing credentials and she was local! I knew it was a long-shot, but I called first thing on Labor Day morning and they picked up!! Her nurse was so helpful. He immediately set me up as a new patient and gave us the very first appointment the following morning. We were already feeling relief just knowing that someone would see my son. The moment we saw Dr. Eapen, we knew we were in good hands. She was so patient and compassionate as she listened to my son explain the series of events that led us to her. After a thorough conversation with him, Dr. Eapen determined that my son had a middle-ear infection (and possibly a perforated eardrum), and she began treating him right there in the office. The procedure was tolerable, but uncomfortable, so she gave him plenty of breaks to catch his breath. She was so calm and respectful, never rushed him and always kept him at ease. Afterward, she clearly explained his diagnosis and gave him a different series of medications. By the next day, my son's symptoms were already subsiding and his pain had significantly improved. We are still in the treatment process and my son is feeling better every day. We are so happy to have found Dr. Eapen! Her office staff is responsive, polite and helpful. Dr. Eapen is clear, compassionate and exceeds expectations in her care. We have been addressing ENT issues with our child from the age of 2 years old. Our primary care pediatrician was very helpful along the way but it became clear that we needed speciality care. We have worked with 4 different ENTs. First, we started with a general ENT doctor who was helpful. Then it became clear that things were more complicated. So, we visited two ENTs associated with Children's Hospital Los Angeles, they were fine but unable to spend the time we needed with our child and they were hard to get in to see. Then we went up to UCLA and spent time with Nina Shapiro, MD. She is highly qualified, in high demand and short on time and availability. When your child is in pain waiting 4 - 8 weeks to get in just won't work. Finally, our pediatrician sent us to Dr. Rose Eapen and we are so grateful! Dr. Eapen is a fantastic communicator and wonderful with kids. She listens closely to the recount of medical history and explanation of symptoms. She asks a lot of questions. She thinks about the information gathered and factors the information into what she sees during the exam. She spends TIME with the patient and thinks creatively about the best way to proceed. Our child is now approaching middle school and capable of being an active member of the conversation. Dr. Eapen put him into the middle of the conversation so he understood his role is keeping himself well by adding preventative measures to his daily routine. I suspect that we will be having a long term relationship with Dr. Eapen because it will be a while before our issues are behind us. I am grateful to have someone here in the South Bay (offices in MB and Torrance) who is readily available and highly qualified to help us on this journey. read more
