Got here on a Sunday afternoon and the place was packed! Didn't make a reservation beforehand, but luckily they were able to accommodate a party of 3 with little to no wait time. Booth seating available along with 4-top tables throughout the establishment that can be combined for bigger parties. Our server was very kind, and cordial. We opted for the lechon style brussels and spicy garlic noodles (this was a snack before our dinner at another establishment). The brussels were an interesting flavor. I would've liked more flavor coming through the overall seasoning of this dish. I was expecting salty, sweet and vinegary, but it missed the mark for me. As for the spicy garlic noodles, this was flavorful, and very rich/buttery. My friend and I split the egg, while the third person in our party opted against it because she didn't care for runny eggs. Perhaps it's a good thing the third person didn't partake in the egg, because as my friend and I were driving to our next destination, we had to make a pit stop to use the restroom, as it seems that something didn't quite sit well with either of our tummies. The 3rd person who didn't eat the egg was completely fine, so not sure if it was the egg or the richness of the dishes. Overall, I would eat here again, though I would try something else on the menu.
Got there in time for happy hour, which ended at 6pm. We ordered the mushroom pizza, shrimp and pork dumplings, spicy garlic noodles, and half pound burger. Everything tasted great and the mushroom pizza is a must if you go. Service was good and someone came around to fill water about 3 times. There was also live music on Friday night and I totally did not feel like I was in a grocery store lol
Ahhh... FINALLY!! I've been wanting to comeback since I've been here back in December with friends for a Christmas get together. Dinner: Our Mahi'ai table consisted of: -Braised short ribs on a bed garlic rice. (For me) -Half pound burger with fries. (For the husband) Dessert: Came for the Kulolo Haupia Sundae, unfortunately it wasn't available. Hopefully next time. I ordered the Kona coffee mud pie with chocolate sauce. $11 Great Choice! It's Chocolate & Kona coffee gelato, chocolate cake, warm chocolate sauce and topped with puffed rice crunch. Perfect for sharing. Everything we ate was delicious & satisfying. We were able to get a seat right away on a Saturday night. The servers were nice and helpful. He made recommendations and answered my questions. Food also came out quickly. My husband and I both ordered rec mended drinks. I had the strawberry lychee lemonade which hit the spot. We shared the scallion bread, their version of a Cobb salad and spicy garlic noodles. It was a great balance and the perfect amount of food for us. We would go again
Called in for reservations in 15 minutes but they said earliest is 30 minutes. Got there early and the restaurant is empty with only a few tables seated. Been here 3 years ago and they did the same thing. Fully staffed lots of food servers working, I can't understand that. Our server was good and attentive. He gave us recommendations. This time we had the Ali'i Mushroom Pizza which was really good but I couldn't taste the white truffle oil. That makes the pizza pop. Also the Anykind Crunch Salad. We ordered this last visit, but this time the mochi crunch was stale and the portion was alot smaller:( The hand-cut fries was good, it reminded me of a burger place right around the corner. Looks burnt but nice and soft inside, very tasty. Also had a Pineapple/tea drink which was refillable and good, very tasty too. We ended up ordering the Kona Coffee Mud Pie. Looks traditional with a different light cookie crunch base. It was just okay but nice to end with a sweet tooth from the savory salted dishes.
Located inside of Foodland at Ka Makana Ali'i This restaurant is really delicious - a must try. Often not something you may consider, but they have all of the freshest ingredients, from a top quality grocery store! Great service, Chuck Chuck was amazing. Others stopped by the table as well, to ensure waters were filled and to just show aloha. Check out the delicious photos!

Mahi'ai Table has quickly become one of our go-to spots in Kapolei. We've been here a couple of times now, and it consistently delivers that fresh, farm-to-table quality that's hard to beat in the area. The atmosphere strikes a great balance--professional enough for a nice sit-down meal, but still feels like a comfortable local gem right inside Foodland Farms. On our most recent visit, we started with the Steamed Shrimp & Pork Wontons, which have a great kick from the garlic chili crunch. The Yukari Crusted Ahi Club was another winner, with the shiso adding a nice herbal touch to the fish. We also tried the Spicy Garlic Noodles with Furikake Salmon; the noodles themselves were excellent and packed with flavor, though the salmon was a bit on the dry side this time and could have used a little more seasoning to really pop. For drinks, you can't go wrong with the Ube Condensed Milk Latte-- It was delicious, though worth noting that the ube flavor is a bit more subtle and mostly blends into the coffee taste rather than overpowering it. We finished things off with the Kona Coffee Mud Pie, which was the perfect rich ending to the meal. The overall experience keeps us coming back. It's always a solid choice for supporting local.
Went to Mahiʻai Table for pau hana and had a really nice experience overall. The atmosphere was great, and they had a live singer that night which added a fun, relaxed vibe. We were seated promptly and greeted right away, which always sets the tone. For drinks, I ordered the pickled mango margarita. I'm not sure I'd order that one again--the pickled mango (which I believe may be from Jade's) gets very hard once it's in an ice-cold drink and doesn't quite taste the same. I also had a mojito, which I loved--the presentation was beautiful and the fresh mint on top really made it. We shared a few appetizers, and the poke was the standout. It was light, fresh, and really well done. I'd never had poke prepared with diced tomatoes and onions the way they did it, but it worked beautifully. You could tell the quality was there, and I'd absolutely order it again. Overall, it's a great place to go with friends or family, and I'm excited to come back for dinner.
Discovered this spot on yelp. Similar to Et Al at the Kahala Foodland. Mahiai Table is located inside Foodland at Kapolei. I made a reservation just in case it gets busy. We came during brunch hours, not too busy. My friend and I shared two dishes (sweet and savory): - Strawberry Guava Mochi Pancake - Pretty big ones stacked with 3. The pancakes were topped with strawberry, whipped cream, and some guava cookie crumbs. It came out fresh. Soo good. - Short rib loco moco $23 -the meat was sooo tender and flavorful. Really good. It was a nice place to enjoy a brunch date.

My husband and I decided to have our NYE dinner here and we're so glad we did. The food was so good. I ordered the miso butterfish and he ordered the steak with garlic rice. As an appetizer we opted for the scallion bread with an aioli sauce. Service was great! Ambiance was nice with a live band. We did have to make reservations and were seated right away. There's plenty of parking and seating is either a table or booth. There's something for everyone on their menu and you won't be disappointed. We love coming here for the vibes! Local music playing, aunties dancing hula, food is yummm and staff is awesome! I always make reservations on open table with no problems but if you have a bigger party just call them. I forgot to take pictures of my must order appetizers: clams, truffle fries and Brussels. This dinner I ordered misoyaki butterfish and braised short ribs, other times I'll order the spicy garlic noodles with salmon. Can't wait to come back and get the Kona coffee mud pie with a puff rice crust for dessert. read more
This is a "fancy restaurant" experience without the fancy price. Located inside of the Foodland Farms. The food here has those deep pockets of flavors that blend ever so perfectly together with each other. Utilizing lots of local ingredients, I can definitely tell that there is a master chef behind the creation of these dishes. I was stuffed trying to eat as much as I could because I just couldn't get enough. Even the drinks and desserts were a great mix of flavors. 3 entrees, 1 dessert, a mixed drink, a latte, and endless iced tea all for $100 (before tip) = insanely underpriced for what you get. The host, servers, and the manager were very professional as well, making sure to check on us periodically for refills as well as promptly cleaning our table whenever we cleaned a plate. The place is also very aesthetic and clean. I didn't see anything crumbs/smudges left on their floors/tables. Hope this place keeps up their quality over time. read more

My wife came to this restaurant which is located in the food land for New Year's Eve dinner. We started with the scallion bread which was very delicious it looked like a pizza to be honest it's a must try ask for a side of the garlic aioli they should offer this with some type of protein or portobello mushrooms . My wife ordered the butter fish and I had the steak. The steak was great and cooked to perfection it was like butter. My wife's dish OMG melt in your mouth and bike da mouf ONO. Ry our server was great and attentive answered all of our questions great customer service. The setting was cute and casual and offer live music. Definitely a must try. read more
Today was my second visit here. Truthfully, at least for me, when you're eating at a restaurant in a super market the make or break it factor was dining with wonderful eating companions. Peter booked a 11:30 a.m. reservation for the three of us. For a Friday there were many available seating and when asked, we chose a booth. Peter so generously ordered appetizers for us to share. Out of the scallion bread(crispy with a tiny kick) and the steamed won tons whose topping and sauce looked like it might be spicy had a soft texture with a unique delicious flavor. Our plate came with five pieces of won tun. The kim chee Reuben was missing the pipikaula and was graciously removed from the tab. My nori chicken had an essence of fish, the elote was a bit tart. The garlic rice was good and enjoyable. The appetizers saved me. The fun conversation covering many varied topics during our time there for lunch was both entertaining and interesting. Loved the sharing of pictures and knowledge about our trips, families, growing up, pets and more. Thankyou so much for lunch Peter, truly enjoyed the pleasure of your company and Terry's too! We had a great dining experience at Mahiai Table! We went in on a Tuesday around 1pm, it wasn't too busy, we were seated quickly and the food came out timely. We started with the lechon-style Brussels sprouts. The Patis vinaigrette is savory, slightly tangy, and it complements the onions and tomatoes so well. Even someone who normally avoids Brussels sprouts would be surprised how good it taste after one bite. Next up was the Ali'i mushroom pizza. The mushrooms were hearty and flavorful, and the touch of lemon rind added a bright, citrusy note that balanced the richness perfectly. Definitely not your average mushroom pizza. We also had the fish tacos. The fish was well-seasoned with a delicious smoky flavor. We really appreciate that they used lime slices to help the tacos keep its shape...it was a functional and flavor enhancing garnish! We also really appreciated how kind our server was. She was attentive and when we asked for boxes for our leftovers, she brought us boxes, a bag, and even put our drink refills into a to-go cup. We'll definitely be back again! read more

Mahiai Table is located in Foodland in Kamakana Alii. We were there for my Aunt's 91st birthday, who didn't show up as she had other plans. So my sister, cousin and I enjoyed her birthday dinner and visited her after dinner reservations. We made it in time for happy hour. The shrimp and pork wonton was really good most especially because of the sauce which we used to dip our scallion bread in. And we shared the anykine crunch salad that we also enjoyed. My sister enjoyed her misoyaki butterfish. My cousin also enjoyed her braised pork. While I ordered the fish tacos which was really filling after eating the apps and salad. However, we still had room for dessert. The Kona coffee mud pie is ice cream that, initially, was rock solid. But it was really good on a warm humid day. Mahiai is a really nice looking restaurant for one that is located in a super market. They have music every night and so it really is a nice added touch while dining. It was my first time going to their pau hana (2-6pm every day) and I think I definitely prefer it to their regular lunch/dinner. I highly recommend the scallion bread, which is HUGE and only $8 during their pau hana! Cocktails were only $10; I loved the ube spritz. I'll definitely be back! read more

What a surprise and absolute treat to have lunch at Mahi Ai Table inside Foodland Farms. I wasn't expecting much when I walked in, but wow--this place delivered. I started with the Beef Luau, and omg. A steaming bowl of tender luau leaves with little "trinket-sized" bites of beef, rich and flavorful. And yes, I had to order a side of rice--because you just gotta have rice with this kind of dish. Then came the real dilemma: Fish & Chips or the Wagyu Short Rib Loco Moco. The only logical solution? ORDER BOTH. No regrets. Every bite was worth it. A huge shoutout to Chuck--one of the most knowledgeable, funny, and genuinely kind people I've met in this business. You can tell he loves what he does, and it shows in the service and the vibe he creates. And Al, who I believe is the manager--what a fun guy. For someone who hasn't been here long, he runs a tight ship. The staff is happy, helpful, and works together like a well-oiled machine. The energy in this place is just good. They've even got live music at 5pm and a solid pupu menu. This is way more than a one‑stop shop. I'll definitely be back to try more--especially the dessert menu. Ooh man. Portuguese Bean Soup; The veggies are thoroughly cooked and soft. Little meat in the soup but I did enjoyed it. Brussel sprouts was enjoyed by the hubs, I personally wouldn't order it again but the lechon aspect has a nice smokey flavorl Seared fish tasted fresh, would def try their other catch. We had a small get together on a Sunday for Lunch We had a awesome waitress her name is Laula and she give such good recommendation. Laula is such a sweet and friendly person very attentive to us! We started with the pop sticker with pork and shrimp with chili sauce in it that was really delicious and we had french fries and it was nice because she put the ketchup and the garlic aïoli sauce on the side. Forgot to take a picture of that, then she suggested the mix plate and she even ask if you wanted the chicken sauce on the side or over it, they had a special shrimp with bonito that was yummy , also the chocolate mousse pie was so yummy. If you never went to Kapolei food land farm you gotta try it the restaurant food is awesome, and great service. Plus after you can go shopping for your dinner! read more

I've been to Mahi'ai Table many times before and have always had a great experience with awesome food. Today was no different, and it was the first time my friend wanted to come here for her birthday. We had reservations for 11:00 am, which was easily made on open table. We were seated promptly and given a booth, which was requested when reservations were made. There were not many people in the restaurant at that time, but within an hour many tables began filling up. Chuck was our waiter/ bartender. He was very attentive and serviced our table very well. Our pickled mango margarita was made very well and he gave my other friend an assortment of tea with her hot water. All our pupu dishes came out fast. We didn't realize how big the dishes were and had lots of left over to take home. We all enjoyed the fries with a side of roasted garlic aioli sauce. The fish from the fish and chips was a good size. The outside was nice and crispy and the fish was moist and flavorful with a squeeze of lemon and tartar sauce. The spicy garlic noodle had a nice little kick but not too over powering. The dessert was my favorite, as it had the kulolo and haupia ice cream. The brittle was an added little bonus. The mango compote on it didn't really match the dessert so we just pushed it to the side. Everything was very good and I will definitely be back!! read more

Great location , substantial ambiance and smashing customer service! However.... Two stars for the reason that some items were extremely dry. We ordered the Spicy Garlic noodles and added chicken , the chicken had zero seasoning and was as if it was pre-cooked and microwaved. Also ordered Mochiko Crusted Ahi Belly with Garlic rice. The garlic rice was dry and hard close to uncooked rice grains. Also the Ahi belly was just deep fried and NO mochiko crust. Everything else was good, just very disappointed in the SHORT CUTS taken in the mentioned items. read more
I love how this place always has live music! Me and live music go hand in hand! I absolutely love Manila clams and order them all the time! The service is always great here, so nice and helpful. I love how it's always busy in there, like life happens, let's enjoy it for a little before going back to reality...since it's in Foodland farms, like a little escape! I've been wanting to try the brunch here so I'm definitely making my way out one day. It's super close to home and the crazy part is, you're always bumping into someone you know lol. read more
Disclaimer, It's my first time coming here. Everyone at our table enjoyed their food and I've been hearing great reviews about this place so I was excited to try it out! I ate the spicy garlic noodles and shared the lechon style Brussels sprouts. I don't even like Brussels sprouts much, but this one was pretty addicting and enjoyable. The noodles were flavorful and I'm glad my egg was cooked right and jellish!! It was perfect!!! My friend ordered the spicy garlic noodles as well but I did notice that she had less specks of spice than mine, but we were both very happy with the level of spice! Our server was friendly and attentive! Place is clean and modern! Had a great first experience here! Since it's located in the Foodland at Kamakana Ali'i it was a given we'd shop around after and get a few steps after eating. The only thing I'd say is it's a bit pricey, but I'm glad I tried this place and would happily return again. read more
Spent my birthday at Mahi'Ai. My coworkers took me there for lunch and my family took me there for dinner. The best of both worlds. Lunch menu and Dinner menu were similar but different. Loved the Ali'i Pizza for lunch and Manila Clams and Pulehu Steak and Fries for dinner. Service was good both times. There was "Live" music during the dinner service. Grocery shopping and eating in the same place!? Yes, please! This restaurant is located inside of Foodland at Ka Makana Ali'i. We actually came here for Restaurant Week where they had a 3 course meal for $32/person! Here's what we got: I opted for the Chicken & Shrimp Dumplings for the first course while my friend got the Brussel Sprouts. The dumplings came with a mustard & garlic chili crunch sauce. The dumplings were good and the sauce was tangy/spicy. The brussel sprouts were very flavorful and came with cherry tomatoes & onion. We liked the brussel sprouts more than the dumplings. For our main entrees I picked the braised short rib and my friend chose the fresh catch. Both dishes lacked flavor. The short rib was dry and the fish was plain. My short came with rice in a sauce with bell peppers. The rice had all the flavor. The waiter didn't even let us know what the fresh catch was for the day so we didn't know what we were eating. Lastly, for dessert we got the Kulolo Haupia Sundae and the Lilikoi Creme Brûlée. The sundae was good I love kulolo with haupia. There was also chunks of mango and peanut brittle. I did not like the brittle as it almost broke my tooth because I didn't see it. The Lilikoi Creme Brûlée was good! Very creamy with the crunchy top. The downfall of this restaurant was the slowwww service. We waited almost 30 minutes for our food to come out and that was just for the appetizers. We had to wait even longer for the main entrees to come out. Our hubbies opted to not get the Restaurant Week menu so they had to wait even longer for their food. They both opted for the same 1/2lb burger. They loved that it came with all the fixings and fresh fries! However, the waited asked how they wanted their burgers done and my hubby said medium but it came out very well done, almost burnt. Overall, the ambiance was nice. There was live music playing and thankfully being in Foodland, I was able to keep my 2 year old occupied for the 30+ minutes while we waited for our food by walking her around. However, with subpar food and service, I'm not sure I would return. read more

I've been here many times but for some reason it wasn't that good. My burger took 20 minutes to come, then my bottom bun was soggy & mushrooms was bitter, so I just ate the top bun & patty. My friend ordered the pizza which looked pale in color but was still good. My fries came in bits & pieces like leftover from the bottom of the frier & a bit oily my friend must've liked it because he ate it all. We ordered dessert but after over 10 minutes we cancelled it, even tho the waitress told us it was sitting on the counter she just was busy to give it to us. Kitchen failed & waitress failed. Waitress was nice but she failed in bringing our food in a timely manner. I wouldn't have tipped but my friend tipped her maybe because he ate most of my food. read more

We celebrated our anniversary here with our girls. We made reservations ahead of time. They seated us as soon as we arrived. They had live entertainment. The singer played the guitar and sang beautifully. The ambiance was nice not loud. Casual attire. The waitress was very friendly and attentive to our needs. The food was absolutely "Ono", and service was fast. Everyone there had great customer service. Definitely coming back here again. Definitely one of the best places to go to. read more

A place to try, we came during happy hour on a Friday. It wasn't as busy as I thought so we were served in a timely matter. Food was good but not anything I would be craving to come back for. I got the poke but was let down and expected more flavor. The poke they sell outside is better. The clam soup was the star of the show, tasted so Ono. I also loved their fish tacos!! Happy hour is half the original size and half the price, so if you want a bigger portion just order the regular size but just be prepared to pay full price. Everything was amazing, from the food, to the ambiance, to the live music. It took me back to see the restaurant was in the Foodland and the service was kind of slow but we didn't mind it since the food took our breath away. Every bite was flavorful. We came here for my birthday. I was looking for a restaurant for some good food and I found it. I made reservations a week prior but they weren't too busy, where they can take walk-ins. All the dishes were amazing. Out of all the dishes, I think the only one I wouldn't get again was the Misoyaki Butterfish. It was a little dry. Everything else, especially the appetizers, I would definitely come back and get again. We had the Lechon Style Brussels which tasted great! The Steamed Shrimp and Pork Wontons were amazing. The sauce is what put it to the top. We were debating on getting another order, that's how good it was. We got the Manila Clams which was super yummy. It had a thai tom yum taste to it and it came with bread so you can soak up the sauce. My mouth is watering just writing this. Then we got the Spicy Garlic Noodles which was flavorful, not too spicy. My bf got the Pulehu Steak Frites which was great, I got to try a few bites. And my dad and I had the Misoyaki Butterfish which was good, but again will probably not get again. For dessert we had the Lilikoi Creme Brulee, the Rocky Road Pie, and a Chocolate Gelato with a birthday candle in it. All the desserts were great! The Lilikoi Creme Brulee wasn't too tart which I loved. I really wanted to get the Kulolo Haupia Sunday but they were already out. The server said it goes fast. So we're definitely come back for that! Overall, amazing restaurant. Amazing food and live music. Keoki Ku sang beautifully! He played alot of classics which I loved. My bestie and I decided that this weekend was perfect for a double date night. It was restaurant week and Mahi'ai Table was looking delicious! Especially dessert! We made reservations the day before for 5:00 pm. We were seated immediately and there was live music playing (Johnny). He was really great, but it was loud. It was difficult to talk to the people on your table. Service started off slow and ended slow. I'm not sure if they were short on the back end and the front end, but the food took forever. We were there for about 2 hours. When the food finally came out, it was disappointing. Lechon style Brussels: this was good, but the pipikaula on top was spicy. Shrimp and pork won tons: lacks flavor, not even salt. The filling is just mush with no texture. Fresh catch: lacked flavor. Braised short ribs: dry and lacked flavor. Lilikoi creme brûlée: good, but tart. Kulolo haupia sundae: good, but the kulolo was not soft. The brittle was so hard that it was inedible. Overall, I would not be back by choice. AMAZING! Stumbled across this place trying to find some dinner and it did not disappoint! They had live music with Johnny the third playing with an amazing harmonica player Willie. Today we decided to get dinner here because we had no idea where to go. Surprisingly there was a prefixed menu for us that was part of the restaurant week. The server (Scott I think), was super friendly and explained to us what it was. The prices were reasonable for the big entree plates. It was $32 per person, and it was definitely worth it. Will you be open for Thanksgiving lunch this year?
Mahi'ai table will be open at 10:30am. Last seating is at 2pm. Reservations are recommended. They are offering a prefixed Thanksgiving menu as well as their regular lunch menu.
How many people does the family style feed?
Depending on how much you eat, I would say 2-4. If you are getting a bunch of dishes and everyone just has a little, it would be good for up to 5 people. If you just get one dish, then I would say 2-3.
Are reservations required or helpful?
Not required but definitely recommended. They are on the OpenTable app if you have that and you can also make any special requests that way too.
