Fort Myers Roll and Oceans Three Buddies
Aida B.

The service and food were excellent. This was our first time here. We ordered the Oceans three and the Mexican roll. The edamame was fresh and the won ton soup was delicious. We came back the next day for lunch, this will be our new Sushi place.

The old owner retired and handed down the restaurant to his family. They rebranded because they have added more sushi options and are now "Thai Sushi" The previous owner will be missed. You could really taste the excellence in his food and I will say that although still good, the flavor lacks in comparison. The photo featured below is from before the transition... I would recommend ordering extra sauce on your pad Thai and the curry was half the portion. All still ok-- but we will miss Thai gardens

Chicken Volcano

This was my first time eating at Thai Gardens and it was super yummy! My parents were looking for a place to have a comfortable meal after traveling out of town in cold weather and were craving some hot foods. My mom said she ate here once 15 years ago and asked if it was still around. Lucky for us, it was so this was the first time my family has dined together at this restaurant. We ordered the Pad Khee Mou with chicken, Tom Yum Tay La Tong, and Chicken Volcano. The Tom Yum Tay La Tong (medium spice) was a hot and sour soup with seafood such as scallops , shrimp, and imitation crab. It came out nice and hot which was perfect with some plain white rice. The flavor is full of lemon grass and herbs. We also asked for an extra side of steamed veggies to put in the broth. Pad Khee Mou with Chicken (mild) was so yummy we ordered a second one! It had stir fried veggies, chicken, and wide flat rice noodles. My family loves Pad Thai but wanted to try something new. The owners helped with explaining all of the different noodle dishes and I wanted to try them all! Chicken Volcano was the last entree and it was amazing! We had the chicken grilled but I'm sure the crispy fried chicken would've been amazing too! This had yummy stir friend veggies and a nicely marinated grill chicken on top of it. It was brought out literally "sizzling" like a volcano and then a sweet red tomato sauce was poured over it. I guess if you a remember a place after 15 years and it's still running, the food it going to be worth it! The people are welcoming and the food is delicious! I'll be coming back for sure!

This place denied us at 9:10 when they are advertised as open until 10pm on google and the also on the door to their restaurant. We went back to the car and saw a person go in to pickup their takeout order. He locked the door behind them at 9:15. Disappointed again in fort myers.

Very good food , and I should have listen to the owner to get the large of their coconut noodle…read moresoup instead of their two mediums to go once I got home , it was 15-20 minute drive to the house... the noodles sucked up all the broth. It was still very tasty, but man. I sure was dumb as heck. I called them to apologize, and they were humble about it. They said that a lot of people doesn't listen and gives them a sour face about it. Lol a large , can be an individual soup or a shareable soup. They put the noodles and the broth separated . You can eat it anytime. Freeze the broth , they said. The noodles , you can get it at the Asian store . Only the large can be separated. The medium soup is sold as is not separate or they will charge a fee which I totally understand , because it's not same . Honestly it's so much better getting the large than the medium. Doesn't matter if you can't finish it, you can literally freeze the broth and have it any time. Don't get booty hurt if they tell you . You have to have it within 30minutes, for the medium size. And it's $7.95, for the large it's $13.95 with the noodles and broth on the side. (Now that's a better deal) . . Kickin wings 5/5 $12.95 Panang curry chicken Thai hot with extra peanut butter and crushed peanuts 5/5 $17.95 Thai green curry with shrimp , no bell but add broccoli , Thai chili peppers , and extra basil 5/5 $20.95 Coconut noodle soup 5/5 just as is no protein Mango curry duck, extra crispy and extra ginger and add pineapples 5/5 $ 31.95 Kanom Jeeb ( recommended by a friend ) 4/5 it's very different Moo ping ( if you don't like fat, then don't get it) sweet, savory and juicy $11.95 5/5 Lao papaya salad ( EXTRA EXTRA SPICY) 5/5 with all the stinky stuff ( y'all know it's authentic when it smells like fish sauce ) they can make the American basic white people papaya salad where they go eww is that fish sauce " those are the people who think they know what Thai food is because they've been to Thailand . (NO ONE CARES) Tom yum shrimp extra spicy ( SO GOOD) 5/5 Many more coming soon. I usually dine in here , take outs with the wife at home is so much better!!! Most times they are busy with takeouts when the dining room looks empty . And some times the dining room is full, but the take outs go by quickly. But other times , they can be busy busy! I really like Thai Star and lang xang!

I went to Thai Star for lunch. When I walked inside, I decided that I wanted to order food to-go…read more The staff did get me a water while I waited, which was nice, but the whole interaction was awkward, as if they never had someone come in and order food to-go before. It was dark and dreary and empty inside. There were tables everywhere for seating. I ordered the Thai Red Curry with vegetables. Food was just ok. The vegetables were overcooked and the rice tasted as though it was a few days old. Overall, disappointing experience.
