For sure my favorite Thai restaurant! It is in an area that's a a little easy to miss, but I am so happy we came here! The portions are sooo big, not to mention inexpensive. I've always had trouble finding quality but cheap thai food in the area. After getting this recommendation from my barber (thanks Ruben) I decided to check them out. This place didn't disappoint. So far we have tried the pad see ew and the pumpkin curry. The pad see ew with beef was tasty. The beef was well seasoned and the noodles were tender. The highlight so far has been the pumpkin curry. The sauce is definitely on the sweeter side and heavy on the coconut which I enjoy. The pieces of pumpkin are sweet as well. It also includes some pieces of bell pepper. For the protein I chose pork the first time and chicken most recently. You can't go wrong with either. I've heard they might offer a crab fried rice on certain days so that's on our list to try as well. Their staff is always super friendly on the phone and during the pick up process. Had drove by this place forever and didn't even know it was a restaurant. It's a very small and comfy spot. The portions are larger than I expected and the price is reasonable. The potstickers were great the sauce it comes on top with really sealed the deal for me. The imperial rolls had a very crispy exterior. The chicken fried rice was definitely my favorite from our meal. Great place to share food. The service was polite and quick, they were helpful when I asked questions about the menu. read more

This is our go to Thai place. I love their tofu pad Thai. The tofu chunks are huge! I usually get mild spicy and that's enough for me. My boyfriend likes it super spicy so he gets the pad see ew with Thai spice which is the spiciest and boy is it spicy! The portions are large so I have enough for lunch the next day. Fried calamari was overfried and looks like they don't change the oil Tom Kha was ok-ish with just old mushroom chunks and huge pieces of bamboo shoots. Probably worst Tom Kha I've had ever. It's an easy shop to make so I wonder how they could mess it up like this. No tomatoes no onions, no cilantro. Pineapple Fried rice with chicken was the worst offender. I am not sure if there was a change in chef at this restaurant. In the past, I had ordered Pad thai. and it was really good and it was my favorite. Yesterday, October 15, 2024. I ordered same and it was horrible, not to mention the very skimpy portion. It had an after taste of stale oil either during the base cooking or maybe in the fried tofu. I also could hardly taste the peanut sauce. I finished half of the order and dumped the leftover on when I attempted to eat for dinner. I can't forced myself to eat it. One time, we found a fly in our takeout food. We boycotted the restaurant for a year. We decided to give them another chance and ordered food. We found a strand of hair in our noodle dish. We spoke to the owner and he said we would have to come in for a refund. We drove back to find out they were able to issue a refund for the noodles but they failed to notify us. Absolutely delicious, fresh and delectable, Mai Thai 2 doesn't disappoint! I went veg recently (actually almost vegan) and getting fresh food can be a real challenge sometimes. I was starving tonight and ordered the imperial rolls, Green Curry and Pad See Ew and all were quite satisfying and incredibly flavorful. I live right down the street and my order was piping hot when I returned home which really adds to the delight of the culinary experience. I've been before but I forgot how good this food is. I know Thai food tend to be little bit sweet. Just a little bit too sweet and too much soy sauce to me. However, this is just personal preference. Staff are very "professional". I love Thai food and it is great when I find a place that taste authentic. The food is super affordable especially during lunch time. My favorite dish is their pumpkin curry. It has so much flavor! I've always gotten chicken with their curry and that's my favorite. It is creamy and you can taste a little bit of the coconut milk they use but it is really good. The only thing I do not like is that they don't give any rice with this dish which most places usually do. I have to say though I love their garlic rice so I usually order a side of this. Their Tom Yum is delicious as well. Other places make their Tom Yum a bit sweet this place makes it really good. It is very flavorful. Went here for lunch with mom, brother, and his neighbor. It's a small shop but I noticed right away that it's sparklingly clean. No trace of dust or fingerprints on tables nor glass windows. We ordered: Tom Yum Mixed Seafood Soup 14.95 Spicy and sour with mushrooms, lemon grass, galanga, kaffir lime leaf and cilantro. Pad Thai 10.95 Stir fried rice noodle with choice of meat, egg, bean curd and bean sprouts, topped with ground peanuts. BBQ Chicken 10.95 Marinated chicken with Thai seasoning sauce and charboiled. BBQ Beef 11.95 Marinated beef with lemon grass, black pepper and honey. Sweet and Sour 10.95 Pineapple, cucumber, tomatoes, green and yellow onion and bell pepper. We were served vegetable salad while waiting. In-house dressing was so good that my brother ordered an extra bottle for use at home. Soon, our orders arrived. I just found my new favorite Thai restaurant which is also the best Thai restaurant in town. Cozy and cute and concisely decorated. The staff are friendly, as is their service. As for the food: fresh and pleasantly surprising flavors for old favorites. Easily the best summer rolls I've had in a long long time--perhaps ever--and a newfound respect for pad kee mao. This is one of my go-to Thai spots in the area because their noodles are always so good and I've never had any issues with the quality of their food! It is unfortunate that I had to write this. We have been going there since our daughter was just 2 and she's 14 now. We noticed that customer service has changed dramatically. Not warm, not friendly, which is a huge thing for me. Also, you have to go to the counter to pay your bill after eating in. Not a big deal if the service was great! The cashier was pretty rude, slammed the receipt and the pen on the counter for me to sign and immediately walked away before I can sign the receipt. Um, normally, with a rude service as I experienced today, I WILL NOT TIP! If you love Thai food, this is the place for you!! While the restaurant is small, it's decorated quite nicely and it gives you a cozy feel. Parking here is small, but I've never had an issue with finding a spot. Here's a few things we've tried: Calamari ( a bit different from your average fried calamari, but I almost prefer it this way. It's fried with a light coating and comes with this super tasty sauce that definitely has fish sauce in it cause you can smell it, but damn is it good!) Yellow Curry Chicken (probably the best yellow curry in the area, it's not thin like a lot of places and the spice and flavors are delicious!) BBQ (the meat is tender and super tasty!) Pad Thai (this is my husband's favorite pad Thai in the area, I gotta say I agree!) Garlic pepper sole (all I can say is, Get this, you won't be disappointed!) This was a consistent go-to place for us for quite some time. This recent visit, unfortunately, left us looking for a new Thai place. Zero verbal greeting acknowledgement when we entered. We had to inquire about sitting. Asked for menus, had to ask to order. Servers personalities were non existent. Pad Thai was not on point. It was odd colored and lacked a fresh flavor. Chicken in pad Thai tasted plain & seems to be added to the dish after the pad was plated. The snow crab & noodle dish lacked flavor. Overall the experience was as if we should be thankful to eat there b/c of the lackluster service and the food lacked fresh taste ...both dishes tasted pretty much the same.
