Great communication from admin side and the professional who has cleaned my home is wonderful.

So, I came back to Maid in JC after my sub lease had left and had another cleaner. The reason why I went back to them was because I remember them having amazing customer service and the cleaners were so nice and so good! Also, as a woman, I will always support Women owned business and single moms! That was not the case this time. I had called multiple times one day as I was shopping around, and then I got accused of calling too much and seemed my account was somehow flagged for asking the same questions as I understood it differently and wanted to clarify and see if they would price match. As a potential consumer, I should be allowed to ask questions without being accused of asking too many questions. Even though I had a weird feeling, I decided to go through with the cleaning. So, the cleaner came and was very sweet. She did an OK job, but I had to go behind her and clean. She did not clean my countertops, there was dust all over my windowsill, dirt on my entrance bench, dog hair in corners, etc. she didn't move things from the floor like my dog's bed to clean behind it. I ended recording and time stamping right after she left in case I needed proof. I called the customer service and very nicely explained them the situation and all I asked was, can you please add this into my notes for next time and send me the survey so I can add my notes. I did mention I do not want to affect her PTO but wanted to share my experience. I ended up finding more disappointments around the house and gave a review back of honest feedback. That's when the fun begins. I get a call this afternoon from them saying I made the Cleaner cry because of my review, I told them I am happy to increase their rating as I don't want to make anyone upset, but I was not pleased with the service. Then she tells me that the Cleaner said I asked her to move my furniture around and pull out my bed! I never mentioned my bed which is comical and the best part is I moved the light furniture around so she can clean behind it, which she didn't, and I told her not to move it back, I will as I didn't think that was fair and didn't want her to injure herself. The person on the phone kept saying I made the cleaner cry, yet she was accusing me of things I never asked. I told her she is making me cry and anxious by all these lies. I did mention I have cameras around my apartments and have recordings of our pleasant conversations and me never asking her to move anything. Instead, I kept telling her I can move things and she said don't worry, I will. The moment I said I have cameras around the Customer Service lady said she will "talk" to the cleaner, but they can't service me any longer as my expectations are too high. I am utterly disappointed and hurt by the accusation and feel like there was some prejudice before the cleaner even came. As much as I want to support them as they are Women owned and run company, I will not stand by anyone talking down to me! I am a woman as well and deserve respect! read more

Edit: I wanted to add an edit because a a few things have changed. I'll start with the positive, they have waived the cancelation fee. Thank you! However, they have also been calling, texting, and emailing about this review. While we politely answered the first few calls, we eventually had to stop because it was getting a little ridiculous. They were not calling to apologize or to dispute it (they seem to fully admit that it is true) but just to get us to take it down. Whoever you are, please stop contacting us. We have already asked you to do this, but it does seem you only respond to the public reviews. So disappointed! Before booking we took a long look at their list of what they would and would not do, and prepared extensively for that. We did all the organizational stuff and generally left counters and floor space clear, although as we were told they would work around some mess, we didn't do a deep clean. There were dirty dishes, but we told the cleaners explicitly not to worry about that. We asked multiple times if there was anything they would need before heading out side to work. Sadly, after getting us up at 8:30 am (both my fiancée and i work a night shift so this was particularly difficult, they had no flexibility on this, which I thought was odd) they left, without doing a single thing, not even the most basic of sweeping or dusting. Its also highly annoying because we EXPLICITY stated we needed help in the bathroom, this was not a surprise for them in anyway. Could not be more disappointed. The teams have no consistency. Used them for about six months and it was always up and down service. They added more stress than needed and management didn't seem to care to fix the issues and ended with "we don't know why we are having so much trouble with your home" rude and unhelpful. I've used cleaning services for ten years in jersey city other parts of jersey even other states and never saw this much inconsistency with a company. So for what they charge you.... would NOT recommend. read more

Amelia and her staff were actually a few minutes early for the appointment time and were all incredibly friendly. Amelia was a pro when it came to answering the questions I had about the service, payment, etc. They were all also great with dealing with my more than vocal Chihuahua. They even went above and beyond when one staff member accidentally broke a candle holding, going out and buying a replacement or offering me money off my service. So great!! Our apartment was an absolute mess and in about 3 hours it felt brand new thanks to Marleen and Mirian. We had to be in the apartment with our dog and cat while they were cleaning and they were extremely accommodating. The place was a bit neglected, and with two preschoolers I had knew I couldn't tackle it without help.
