I'm surprised by the other two yelp reviews as I've been thrilled with Best. I had my apartment cleaned regularly by Best, but then after a trip out of town I decided to try a green cleaning company. When they didn't work out, I tried another company, this one offering low prices and 'easy online booking.' Neither company came close to cleaning to the level Best did. A few details about Best's cleaning that I appreciate: -My kitchen is beautifully cleaned and everything is properly cared for (crystal, pans, and chef's knives are all hand washed and dried). Nothing has been ruined, scratched, or broken unlike with other services. -All surfaces are clean (including under things like spices in the kitchen and soap in the bathroom) AND streak-free. -My laundry is done and beautifully folded and my bed is made. With other cleaning services, my bed was made very strangely and towels and t-shirts were folded in half instead of thirds. With best my apartment is cleaned and I didn't have to train anyone how to clean a bathroom or vacuum and plump a sofa. Best cleans to a very high standard--so much higher than similarly priced services that I would say it's an excellent value. Your apartment will be clean (this isn't a de-cluttering or organizing service) AND "J" who cleans my apartment is lovely to be around. I trust her completely and feel great knowing she's cleaning me home. While finding the right person to clean your home the way you'd like can take time, I would highly recommend Best. I connected with owner Mary, on Friday and requested for service for Saturday morning. She was able to find someone on short notice to come at noon on Saturday. She asked for detailed directions to my apartment so she could give them to the housekeeper. Prior to the actual cleaning I had several calls and emails to Mary. The good? Mary is very detailed oriented and asks alot of questions on your needs. The bad? Mary speaks in a slightly condescending tone, speaks over you and comes across and pushy and abrasive. All while sounding like she is smiling the whole time... My cleaner "L", was a friendly women who did a subpar cleaning job. I had expected a "deep cleaning" that would take up to 5 hours. What I received was a "surface" cleaning with some vacuuming thrown in. My windows were not cleaned and there was still dust throughout the apartment. "L" did not move any items on my countertops, nor any items on my end tables. She cleaned "around" items . . . . which is exactly what I do! Which is why I hired a professional service. I've had them clean twice now and Claudia did an excellent job each time. Based on how long you want them to spend, they'll do whatever you need. I have a 2BR, 1BA and Claudia is done in 3.5 - 4 hours. Things like refrigerator cleaning can be done, but that requires more time. I've dealt with Kim and Patrick on the phone and by email; they're always friendly and communicative. read more

I have had a really good experience with this agency. Kim and Patrick are easy to deal with for booking and very flexible. My schedule changes a lot and they are always very accommodating. Jenel does a fantastic job on my apartment. It's always impeccably clean when I get home. She's reliable as well. I think the rate is very fair for what you're getting. Glad I found them! read more

We're extremely pleased with Best Home Services so far. We had a cleaning service we used for a long time with one particular cleaner but when she left we went through several cleaners and they were all lousy. That final straw was when they came for a 6 hour deep clean and left things not that much cleaner then when they started. We were skeptical about finding someone else but needed a cleaner so we called another service and were appalled at their customer service -- they seemed to have no interest in our business. So... we called Best Home Services. The difference in customer service was like night and day. Kim was friendly, extremely helpful, and attentive and called me back a few times while we worked out details. We arranged for someone to come out and on the scheduled day Val arrived right on time. She took her time and did a FAR more thorough job than anyone we had had in the past. She was friendly too and very willing to work on everything we asked her to clean. We are very pleased with everything about this company so far including the price, which is comparable to the first place we used but for double the time so it's a much better deal. This is only the first time we've used them but hopefully we will continue to be as happy as we were this time. read more

Mary is exactly as Michelle describes her - condescending in tone and very pushy/talks over you. Not at all easy to work with and not organized, she does try hard to schedule you in but oddly enough makes it seem like you owe her something for her troubles - all around very weird and uncomfortable interactions with her. She is well-rated on Angie's list but beware - her personality is not worth dealing with. That said, the cleaner she sent was wonderful and did a good job, but not at all worth the headache of dealing with Mary. I would tell Mary myself but last we talked she was very antagonistic, accusatory and all around unprofessional, so there wasn't much room for feedback. read more
