A couple of minor things for next time: while the apartment is stunningly clean, there were a few spots where the team seemed to "tap out". Some items were placed in unexpected locations--like reusable shopping bags inside the open space of the TV console, shower products left scattered, coat racks and dog harnesses still unorganized even though I sent a picture of that space to be cleaned, and kitchen spices mixed with glassware despite Tim mentioning it to his staff before they started. I had been in crisis mode with my messy apartment for far too long and no time to clean it. I dreaded hiring anyone. After spending seven hours one recent Sunday cutting up cardboard boxes alone, I drew the line. I needed help. Hiring Best Maids was one of the best decisions of my life. Period. First, Jack the owner is true as water on a placid morning's pond. Whatever concern or variable or worry you throw his way in negotiations, they're reduced to brief ripples as he adjusts terms, massages in solutions and then returns to his essence like a mirrored pond returns to its placid clarity after a pebble shatters it briefly: he is as honest, centered and focused as an arrow.
