Be careful! Before scheduling my dental cleaning, I called the office to confirm they accepted my insurance. They assured me they were in-network and that my insurance would cover the visit. Later, I received a bill because they were actually out of network. When I called my insurance company, they confirmed that the charges were due to the provider not being in my network. Can you love your dentist and their team? I didn't think so until I met Dr. Becker, Vinny, and the team at Maiden Lane Dental! I was always scared/terrified of going to the dentist until meeting them. Now I actually look forward to going each year for my cleaning and check-ups. I have never met a dentist/team who cares so much about their patients (clinically and personally). Dr. Becker is excellent. He is one of those magical dentists that doesn't hurt or if there will be any discomfort, he talks you through it and does it quickly. ​He and his team make you laugh so much during your visit, you forget the work they are doing in your mouth. The office is very clean and inviting (and fun, if you can imagine that at the dentist). I love how they play great music while you have your cleaning or procedure - you pick the station! I first came here because I had a horrible toothache that turned into needing an extraction. I have been coming here for years and the service just gets better and better. This is probably the MOST accommodative office with sincere team of professionals. Dr. Becker is light hearted and personable and makes you feel very welcome each and every time. He is professional and extremely experienced and the outcome is always the best. From start to finish, my overall experience with Dr. Becker's office was extremely pleasant and streamlined. Setting up the appointment itself was very easy and the user interface and navigation of their website is straightforward and convenient. My cleaning with Vinny was informative, clear, concise, and Vinny himself is just a great person to chat with! I felt like he was interested in establishing a patient relationship rather than getting me in and out of the seat. My fillings with Dr. Becker and Nathaniel (dental assistant) was quick and convenient - they were able to get me in right after my cleaning. Dr. Becker was very communicative about what he was doing, Nathaniel paid attention to ensure I wasn't in any pain, and after getting my fillings done Dr. Becker made sure that I was satisfied with how my teeth felt and made changes based on my feedback. I've moved around a lot and I will say that this office was one of the best experiences that I have had at the dentist. They made sure to check in on me throughout the appointment. He only cares about the money. The most well run Dental practice I have ever been to. Period. The staff are super nice, competent, efficient but most of all PROFESSIONAL. Never have I ever had an experience where the dental office told me, before I arrived, that my appointment would be slightly delayed. They always explain everything they are doing - complete with detailed discussions of xrays etc. - which takes a lot of the anxiety out of dental work. He is amazing!! I made a first time appointment when my front tooth had gotten chipped over the weekend. So I needed an urgent fix to the problem. He was super attentive and set everything up to be fixed that day. He laid out all of my options and was able to prep me that morning and have me come back in later that day to have everything fixed. I absolutely can't rave enough about Maiden Lane Dental. I grew up with severe trauma from a dental visit when I was young. That led to fear crippling break downs before dental visits and avoidance of said dental visits until it was too painful to avoid. I've tried to find a Dental office that I felt comfortable with no avail. That is until I doing Maiden Lane and their AMAZING team. Vinny , Dr. Becker , Kyla ( please forgive me if I spelled your name wrong) -- they are so wonderful. I came in because a cracked tooth was sucking the life out of me and I couldn't handle the pain. I needed an emergency extraction ASAP. I looked up offices near my workplace , called MLD , and Vinny told me to come on over. I was sweating bullets and shaking like a leaf when I got there. I told them that I am TERRIFIED and one wrong move means I'm not coming back. ( I'm such a drama queen) They listened , understood , extracted my tooth , and made me feel at ease. I've gone back three times since for fillings and a cleaning. Except now I prance into the office with a big smile on my face because I'm so happy to be there and I know I'm in great hands. Seriously, I think the longest non-family relationships that I've had in NYC have been with my cell number, and Maiden Lane Dental. He and his team are truly the best! They've helped me tremendously with preventative care advice, and they've put me at ease through more than couple of dental emergencies that I had along the way. I had a very good experience when i had my dental visit at Dr. Beckers office. My previous dentist informed me that i required 2 crowns and some other assorted work. Dr Becker informed me that all i needed was JUST one crown and a simple filling! I appreciated the honesty. Front desk clerk did a great job explaining my charges and how i can handle payments. Dr. Becker's lovely staff assured me that somehow, they could squeeze me in. I ended up having to get to the office later on a Friday, when most office staff RUNS out. Super friendly staff! I had my teeth cleaned with Vinny Wong and it was the most pain-free cleaning. I normally hate the dentist but I wouldn't mind going back. It helps you get to choose from about 50 options of things to watch while they clean your teeth. You get to wear these headphones and glasses so you are distracted :). I had X-rays and my hygienist took the time to explain everything and even answer my dumb questions.. Dr. Becker was excellent and extremely professional. Great experience! I usually hate going to the dentist. I just went here for the first time this morning, and from my initial phone call, to the receptionist, hygienist Vinny and Dr. Becker himself, everyone was friendly, professional and great! They even have you wear a headset that allows you to watch netflix while you are getting your cleaning so the time goes by quickly and painlessly.
